Cleveland’s Choice Garage Doors

At around 4:45 I set up my appointment, I tried to get a rough ballpark range estimate on the phone, was told not to worry I’d get one when someone came out (would have been nice up front). Dispatcher calls right away, tell me someone is already going to be in my area around 7 so to expect a call close to then… I get a call at 8:30 saying I’ll be there in 20 minutes… 9:45 technician shows up. Say’s it’ll take about a half hour, took an an hour and fifteen minutes… Total price (after a «$ 75 discount») is $ 380, for a single garage door spring (250×2×32) and a 7ft torsion cable… $ 380?! That is robbery, that’s way above average for what a job like that should cost. The description of the torsion cable says «Gold/​Red Torsion Spring», and the spring is silver, so I was likely charged for a higher end spring, and NOT to the one I actually received. The invoice price of the spring itself was $ 329.99… Anyone ever heard of a spring that costs that much? And again, it doesn’t appear to be the spring I actually received… I as also told up front they were waiving the service call fee, and it was still there… So from the times being off every step of the way, to being severely overcharged, not the best experience… The technician however, did a great job and was very friendly.

Terrible company. Overcharged me for a torsion spring on a two spring door. When I had the second spring replaced by another company, they informed me that Cleveland’s Choice Garage Doors used the wrong spring size and I had to pay to replace the spring.
