This is for the JC Penney salon. This was my second trip there and will be my last. The stylist was very good with color, but not good with haircut. My hair is very long, straight, no layers and I have bangs. Not a difficult haircut, just a trim on the ends. Both times I had to trim my bangs when I got home in order to straighten them up. Something is wrong when a stylist cannot do a simple basic trim job correctly. My second trip was disaster because my stylist did not show up at the appointed time. I spoke to her directly the previous week and she booked me for Monday at 11 a.m. I arrived about 10 minutes early and the stylist who was supposed to be watching the front desk was so busy with her cell phone she did not even notice me there for a couple of minutes. She finally came up to the desk and said she didn’t know where the stylist was & to have a seat & she would call her. Finally, about 10 minutes after 11, she got the stylist on the phone & I spoke to her. She said the manager had changed the schedule and she was not coming in until 2 p.m. She also said they had a new computer system that did not pick up appointments already on the schedule when the schedule is changed.(personally, I would think that if your schedule was changed it might occur to check and see if you had any appointments). She asked if I would be able to come back at 2, which I did, after shuffling my schedule around. So basically, y entire day was tied. up. Anyway, when I did return a little before 2, the same scenario played out with the stylist who was supposed to be watching the front desk messing with her cell phone. So, I stood at the front desk for a few minutes and then my stylist walked in. The phone rang and she had to answer that as the other stylist was still messing with her own cell phone. I continued to stand a the front desk. Finally, my stylist came up and took me back. In the meantime, another of the stylists showed up for work and the 3 of them proceeded to gripe and complain about the scheduling, the corporate office, the manager and the computer system. When my stylist went back to mix my color, she was gone 10 minutes. I know it does not take that long to mix color and the entire time she was back there, all 3 stylists continued talking and laughing, while I sat out there waiting. She got the color done and trimmed my hair. The only compensation offered was that she did not charge me for the haircut, which I wasn’t going to do at this appointment anyway. So, really felt there was no compensation offered to me for my inconvenience. Anyway, I will not be returning to this salon because it is just too expensive. Both times I was here, there were no other customers. I am not sure how this salon is staying open. Not great service and very, very expensive. Do not waste your time with this salon.

Here today with my wife shopping the young lady I wish I would have got her name at the cash register was very helpful and assisted my wife tremendously especially considering my wife had forgotten her JC Penney ’ s card. The reason I did not give a solid 5 stars is that the 2 young ladies working the shoe dept were far too concerned with gossiping instead of helping customers, when I chose a pair of shoes she went to the back and looked came back did not have my size. Figured she would look to see if it was available at any surrounding stores… nope!.. just an I am sorry… next question any chance you might be getting any in soon… answer…no these are way out of style, they are so last year

This is a review on their drape service. Face it, our drapes were dingy and old. When my little dog wiped her whiskers on them, and suddenly, they ripped(as in spontaneous combustion), that was it. It was time for a replacement. They had originally been purchased at Penney’s, so that’s who we called. We arranged for our drapes to be measured. Well, the first person came to measure them, after about a week and a half. Then, to our surprised, they sent a SECOND person to measure, and double check the first person’s measurements…(Drape measurements… uh, yeah.) Then, came an almost 2 month wait. I was prepared to give them a one star, griping about them never showing up. But, yesterday we received a phone call saying our drapes were ready. They asked if we were going to take our drapes down, before they hung them, and we said, «No, we’ll let you do that.» The guy arrived with our new, white, sparkling perfect drapes. They have a cool nub texture. He was very nice, laid back, but professional. He removed our old drapes, and hung the nice new drapes. He was greeted with my little dog, who said, «Oh boy, something nice and clean to wipe my whiskers on.» I was very pleased with JC Penney’s Drape Services. It wasn’t cheap, but the living room is so bright, and I had no idea how dingy our older sheer drapes were. It totally makes all the difference in the world. Oh, I think these can be ordered in the store, which may have been easier, had we done that. We ordered it on the phone. And, the first measurer bought out swatches for us to choose. I think if you go to the store, the swatches are there.
