Finally found a decent delivery place for Springfield Cashew Chicken! The prices are reasonable — you get a ton of food and the delivery is always prompt and polite.

They have always provided really good food, and professional nice service. They also deliver quickly. I highly recommend their extra extra spicy sesame chicken and their crab rangoon!

Been ordering here for years. Everything we order has always tasted good, fresh and hot, not more I can ask for.

never ordering food in this place again, a couple of weeks ago i ordered combination rice i found a nasty cockrouch in my rice i can even tell you how gross that was i went back to show this people how nasty they are and of course didnt say anything just gave me my money back but i will never go to this place again and hope nobody that eats here find any sorprises in their food. Worst place ever and very rude peple… nasty people…

To be succinct: its just really bad food. bad ingredients, not cooked well at all. Too bad, Ive given these folks three opportunities hoping I caught them on a bad day, but again its just nasty food. plain and simple.

Well, boyfriend forgot which delivery restaurant sucked and ordered from here again :’(lo mein was dry and way undercooked! It was like trying to eat rubber. I ate some of the veggies out of it and threw it away. Never again. Lao Peking it is from now on, at least they are consistent.

I hate to do this but I must let the city of Independence know.
I picked up my order instead of having it delivered. When I stepped inside & took a deep breath I expected to smell Chinese food. However all I could smell is old 70’s restaurant. It has a weird musty smell. It’s almost suffocating.
And yes, as a previous reviewer stated, they do store their supplies in the dining area and the furniture is not arranged in any order — I think this is a bad thing. This is a sign that no one ever eats on location or they wouldn’t store their giant bags of rice in the middle of the dining area.
After I arrived home and got all situated for dinner all I could taste was the musty, old dining area. None of the food tasted okay. My husband had a few bites of noodles but also tasted something off. We ended up throwing away most of the food.
Sorry, I can’t bring myself to ordering from Wang’s Mandarin House again. Go see for yourself and pick up your order. Notice how there is a distinct lack of scent from food being cooked.
Good thing its just a Chinese food place. Independence has tons of these and we found another place for our fix.

Again, no such thing as «authentic Chinese cuisine» in Independence, but this place serves decent-​tasting Americanized Chinese food. They serve everything in a takeout container, so totally no frills here (they even store supplies in the main dining room, kinda ghetto, but keeping with the theme). I like the fact that they do not arrange any of their furniture, so you can customize your (no frills) dining experience any way you want with the option of moving everything, from the tables and chairs to entire banquettes to create your desired interior design configuration. I have a feeling most of the food is pre-​cooked because the food is on the table or in your hand in under 5 minutes from the time you place the order, so this place is good for a quick bite. They would’ve received another star had they provided me with a WiFi code (the network name is in Chinese, and nobody behind the counter knew what the passcode was), oh well.

My favorite Chinese place in town! I used to live right down the street from it, I would always order from there when I was in the mood for Chinese. Even now after moving to the other side of town Mandarin House is still the only place I order from when I want Chinese.

Some of the best Americanized Chinese food around =) Hands down the best CRAB RAGOON I’ve ever had any where. I usually get the lunch special: shrimp with vegetables (comes in a white sauce but if you want brown they will change it to that if you ask). It’s pretty good, it doesn’t make you feel weighed down for the rest of the day. The lunch comes with soup (I get egg drop which is okay) and either an egg roll or a crab ragoon. The portions are a good size.
The person who takes the orders has a thick accent so it can be very difficult to understand him. However, he is very nice and will repeat as necessary. This is not really an eat-​in place even though there are tables. It’s pretty skanky on the inside and outside. They do deliver but I believe you have to have at least a $ 20 order before they will deliver.
Must: Crab Ragoon (the main reason I eat there)
Don’t: Eat in the restaurant, it’s not very clean or welcoming.
