As far as bars go, Panini’s isn’t a bar I normally like to hang out in. My boyfriend and I stopped in here late night to grab a bite because we missed dinner before going out. We split the bacon, ham, egg and cheese panini. I truly love Panini’s sandwiches! They are the perfect food while drinking – love the fries and coleslaw! I really appreciated that they split the sandwich for us before it was brought out. The ambiance of the particular location isn’t great, and I’d probably grab takeout next time.

Place was fairly empty. Very surprising; especially for being 1pm on a football Sunday no less. Food was good. Service was slow and men’s bathroom was free of debris but the sink was very dirty.

Another one of my go to’s for lunch that is near work. LOVE their wings and wouldn’t change a thing about them(unbreaded and the perfect amount of sauciness with plenty sauce options.) I crave wings often and when I do, this is the spot in Independence I go to during lunch. I am not a huge fan of the rest of their menu, but that is just because I am limited on what I can eat. Other than that, they seem to have a wide variety to please just about anyone.

Inside smells like moldy basement. Decent Paninis — very much old bar feel. Not impressed…

This is my favorite place to go to when I want to relax and have drinks! It’s always so laid back, but fun at the same time! I can’t say enough good things about this place. :) I never leave unhappy! P. S. Tara is awesome!!!

Sandwiches are terrible. No flavor and the bread is way too thick.

Remember that movie where the little kid said, «I see dead people?» That was a good movie. What would it have been like if the little kid saw the dead people before they were dead? Still alive. What kind of movie would that be like? I know, awesome AND scary. Yep. Panini’s is full of people who aren’t dead. That’s not to say they’re a lively bunch because they’re not really moving or doing much but they aren’t dead and they are there drinking beer and seeming to be grouchier than you are. Grouchy people drinking Miller Lite and being grouchy together. But not really grouchy at each other either. It’s more like they are all grumbling about the same workplace nonsense while they are drinking lite beer from Miller. Every day. All night. They put french fries on the sandwiches which means a turkey sandwich is special because the fries are under the bun not next to it. It’s for the guy who doesn’t like to lift the fries but does like to lift the sandwich. They do not offer a pre-chewed sandwich you can eat with a spoon. The wings are good and give you a rough time. You got to work on them like Fred Flinstone which is a good thing because if you want to stop near the cloverleaf and eat, you have issues which you can work out by grinding on some tough dark wings. Mastication therapy. You end up cussing at your wings while you eat them. There’s nothing tender here that you can jam when you’re really hungry, so bring your hardhat ’cause eating is a chore at this place. The wing sauces are good and serve well to mask the taste of the wings as well as the taste of the filth beneath your fingertips. I can always find a Labatt’s Blue in here that is cold and the service is fine unless you want to hit on a waitress which ain’t gonna happen because she knows you went to Panini’s down by the travel lodge and there’s no future in that for her. Restroom clean enough but get there early.

I came here a couple times underage to play the old mechanical light-up bowling machine and watch some sports. Went back for the first time [on a dead Sunday night] and realized that I didn’t miss much. Alas, the old bowling machine had been replaced by a golden tee, cabela, and bags arcade games. It’s a generic sports bar that doesn’t offer anything noteworthy(besides the paninis). There’s the TVs, a large bar, booths. About 12 beers on tap: including 2 Leinies, 2 Great Lakes, and the rest domestics. The service was ok, on a dead night(4 tables at the entire place). My compadre ordered a buffalo chicken wrap that wasn’t served correctly(the cook put it on a bun instead). My panini came as ordered, tasty and filling. Their liquor selection was sort of odd: nearly every type of Absolut, Smirnoff, Malibu, Barcadi, and Grey Goose, but only a few others(including Ciroc, a surprise). Nothing really special. If I wanted a panini really bad, I’d go here, otherwise, at the very least, the Winking Lizard is a ½ mile away with a better beer selection.
