Well, this is a high-end makeup store. They seem to know their business. I don’t wear a lot of makeup. I was getting a gift card for a family member. I just can’t justify ever spending 125 $ on eye shadow. I mean, there are people leaving off 1.50 $ a week. I can’t throw much away on consumable goods like that. My family member, who is a makeup-o-holic, swears by them and says they are the best provider. She knows her stuff so I’ll take her word for it.

I gave a friend a $ 50 gift card for Christmas. It comes with a free makeover and she spent an additional $ 50. She raved about Mercedeez who did her makeover. I sat out in the mall and read a book but came in several times to check on her. They were deep in consultation and it appeared she was answering all my friend’s questions very professionally and thoroughly. They even gave her a birthday gift with her purchase. They have a great selection of men’s cologne also.

Had a horrible experience with my 14 yr old who had a 100 gift card visa she asked if they would do a full face makeover they said no unless you spend 50 little did they know she had a hundred in her pocket but I found extremely rude what if you didn’t care for the products and didn’t spend fifty she went to the Estée Lauder counter at Macy’s the lady did a full makeover gave tips truly awesome lady no minimum to buy even blended her a perfect foundation shade sample!

Yesterday I was shopping with two young family members, who are seven and ten. At that age they love makeup but don’t know much about it, so when they decided they wanted to shop at Sephora I thought it would be a way to learn some new tricks, and I hoped it could be a cool self-esteem booster for them. When we walked in a woman said hi to us. I told her exactly what we were looking for, but she ignored us, shrieked«hello» to a friend who had just entered the store, and rushed around us to give her friend a hug. My girls were crushed. It was supposed to be a fun girls day out and instead they felt like they weren’t being taken seriously. In my life I’ve never seen such an act of disrespect by an employee to her customers. It’s always fun when friends visit me at work — it sure makes the day go faster — but I would never run around a customer who just asked me a question. When a seven year old girl says that what you did was rude, chances are you were pretty rude. I won’t be shopping here in the future. I’m sure that others who work at Sephora are genuine and helpful, but by placing her in the front of the store and allowing her to represent her company, Sephora is doing themselves a disservice.

I thought… I reviewed this one already. Slap on the wrist to me. Sephora is one of my favorite chain stores. I spend alot of mon… er, time, in this store, looking at the stuff. And buying it, too. It’s the first location I found the extremely over priced Peter Thomas Roth. His mascara used to be a celebrity to me, until I discovered Sephora’s own mascara, sorry Peter(who products are at the very back of the store, in the clinical area.). I can assure you, the products and the product placement, the bright black and white, contrasting the scene of eye shadows, lipsticks, mascaras, lotions, perfumes will draw you into this store. The employees will eventually ask to help you. They are super. They know where every product is located in the store, which kind of ruins the idea of walking all over the store to find it, but anyway. I like this location, alot. I’m a Mac girl, but there’s just as much here, in this Sephora. The employees will gladly let you try out any of the samples, and I’ve had them do my makeup this way.(Only they don’t realize they are completely doing my make up, ha.). My favorite thing, most of the time is, «I need to go to Sephora’s, I don’t have eye shadow to match that…» But the fact is, I am not so sure I can only buy eye shadow there. Heck, I like their make up palettes, that’s eye candy. They have specials, and sales and this store is make up heaven to me. The prices, cheaper than the make up counters at Macy’s, higher than Target. The employees are over the top great. What else can I say? I’m just surprised I hadn’t reviewed it till now.
