Short, rude service. Overpriced and not at all what the hype had led me to believe. I had great expectations and was let down. We placed the very first part of our order and were asked, quite rudely «is that all?» We ordered a tenderloin and fries, and the spicy chicken tenders basket. They were out of my fried mushrooms, so I switched to mozzarella sticks. We live ONE minute away. The food was cold. I didn’t get my side of ranch with my tenders. Overall the food was not good.

Stopped by Wed. 2÷10÷16 @ 1130 or so and went to the walk-​up window. Waited there for 5 min. or so and hopped back in the car and pulled thru the drive-​thru. Good menu and lots of choices so I got a ¼ Cheeseburger combo and a Ital. Steak. Service seemed a bit slow and confused (I don’t think the Lady in front of me got all her order) I was being given and charged for just a Tenderloin but we got that fixed and I got my order. Everyone was friendly and they gave me a bag of doggie treats for my dog (very nice touch). The Ital. Steak while not huge in size was VERY big on flavor. The CB was tasty and although had no onions on it (I had ordered it with X-​tra onions) was tasty and filling. The fries were big chunky, cooked perfectly and had great flavor! Although there were snags I will go back. Maybe things were not hitting right yesterday, I urge everyone to give Stacks a chance and see for yourselves.

Food is decent– no complaints there. The service however is a different story. I’ve gone several times to see if there was an off day etc. only once has the service not been lousy. I believe it’s the owner– a woman on the short side with long brown hair. She definitely needs a lesson in service. The food comes out in a timely manner but she is consistently hateful and «put out» taking, presenting orders. Every time I’ve ordered she cuts off after first item and offers a total– no «what else can I get you?» Etc. just now as I walked up to window to get my order she placed it on shelf and shut the windows before I even got to the window. She acts like no small business owner I’ve encountered. Quite rude. I am certain that she isn’t so busy that she can afford to be so flip. I wonder how many others avoid the place due to her hateful personality. Id happily give her some lessons in customer service. She needs it.

The pork tenderloin is one of the best in the city. If you have that and a side you can easily make two meals out of one sandwich. The staff is always friendly and chipper and just seem like the salt of the earth.
Pro-​tip: I take the sandwich home and make a sriracha mayo for it or will add kimchi if I’ve got some. DAMN. Makes the deep fried goodness just pop.

We had a cheeseburger, italian steak, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. All of it was delicious. I really enjoyed their housemade marinara! Service was friendly and fast. The store was extremely clean inside and out. I’m glad we decided to give this place a try! We’ll be back for sure.

Good food. Good price. Friendly service. You can walk up to the window, order and then eat in the car or take the drive thru and eat at home. Kinda quirky and cute and 50s revisited. What’s not to love? Excellent.

I just discovered this out-​of-​the-​way place a couple of weeks ago. My boyfriend and I were looking for something new in the area, and we decided to try Stack’s. Hands down, the best tenderloin I’ve ever had. And the pineapple milkshake was great, too. Plus the service was friendly. I even took a friend there again a few days later. There is a wait sometimes if there are other customers, but it’s worth it.

I don’t know about other reviews but this has been here since 1962. Anyway this place has amazing tenderloins real fries. there portions are huge so you could order a combo and share just order another sandwhich. Real mom and pop place. Eat local

Had the tenderloin light and crispy fries fresh tacos great this reminds of a place in Merriam ks no longer there called wanda burger. Kitchen you can see very clean friendly employees. Great service great food and your help support a family owned business. If want you want local choice to stay alive then you must patronize this place. I will try a shake next time I am so full.

A really great Tenderloin and their Meatball sandwich is terrific. The people that work there are very nice and I hope everyone trys it at least one time…

My wife an I ordered a slab of ribs ($ 20), a large order of cole slaw and white bread. We did not want to drown the flavor of the St Louis cut ribs that we had heard so much about.
We were not Wow’d. They were over cooked and relatively bland for good KC BBQ. Out guest ordered burnt ends and said that they were just ok.
All in all I was disappointed but they were edible.
The wait staff were terrific.
I could not recommend if you are a BBQ lover. If you are just hungry and want meat its OK.

First time trying and the burgers and fries were excellent. Fresh and hot. Will definitely be trying them again.
