There are plenty of quality travel agencies in the world. This is not one of them.
Avoid like the plague.
There are a myriad of reasons I do not recommend this group starting with the fact they helped book a family vacation that sent us (at their recommendation) to a resort that was much more suitable for drunk singles than families with kids in spite of the fact they new exactly what we were looking for and the mix of people traveling.
It was clear that every aspect of their planning was focused on what generated the most commissions and spiffs, not what was best for our family.
To top it all off, the charter flight to Cancun that they practically insisted we fly on was delayed by two hours coming back to Kansas City, which caused us to miss all of our flights from there (for family that had to fly other places like us). Because we were on a charter flight they had no responsibility for all of our connections, which they made abundantly clear to us (via text message).
This was their chance to jump in and prove their worth but they did the exact opposite. Our agent (Leslie) told us that while the online flight status showed we’d miss our flights, she had gotten «direct confirmation» that the flights would be delayed and we’d make them.
When we landed in Kansas City and it turned out she was totally wrong, it became clear she had done nothing during our 3 hour flight to check on status or look for alternatives. If she had done this she could have booked us on two different flights out but by the time we landed we were within the booking window where this could not be done. This mistake cost us over $ 1,500 in new ticket purchases since our prior tickets were non-​refundable and the airline they were on (Southwest) did not have any flights with availability for three days.
I have never had to deal with an organization so focused on their own best interests and so unconcerned about helping their clients. It is clear that the minute we booked travel and they got their commission they felt their job was done, when the reality is they should have been engaged to ensure things went smoothly throughout our trip.
I cannot figure out how they stay in business unless they have a lot of friends who feel guilty using alternative travel planners.
