SOOOOOFUN. Our guide, Matt, was a riot and made sure we all survived the trip and he was hilarious. It’s 20 miles with a decent amount of paddle work so don’t expect it to be an easy float down the river. There were some really memorable parts, like the VIEWS, being able to jump off and swim in the river, jumping off a rock, jumping into the rapids — I won’t spoil it all but you’re in for a treat. Make sure to wear BUGSPRAY beforehand because there are some really persistent horseflies that follow you. And don’t bother with clothing, you WILL get wet. Bring $ to tip your guides too!

What a great day! Billy our guide was fun and an excellent captain of the boat! Great experience! PS — it does take about an hour and forty minutes from Lake Placid — so leave time. It’s worth it!

We had an amazing time rafting today. The rapids and scenery were incredible. Thrill of a lifetime! Our tour guides Jeff and Nick were very informative and super fun. Highly recommend! We topped off the day with Stewarts ice cream :)

This was my first time whitewater rafting and I can’t say enough good things about the guides, especially Brad! He was absolutely fantastic, told us a lot about the river, answered any questions we had fully, and was just a pleasure to be around! Before going WWRafting, I do wish I had known the following: 1. Do not wear cotton; cotton will not dry and on a cool day like ours, you get SO cold 2. Do wear water shoes(you can buy them there for a reasonable price of $ 10⁄12) 3. You can rent wet suits($ 7 tops, $ 8 bottoms), but they also give you a free blue poncho thing with velcro wrists and neck which is very handy! 4. They will provide you with a helmet and life jacket and of course paddle 5. The lunch offered was actually really good, but don’t expect choices — we all received a turkey sandwich on a roll with cheese, mayo and lettuce — I thought it was fantastic personally. We also got fruit snacks, chips, cookies, lemonade and water — no one was really complaining besides the one person who didn’t like mayo in our group! 6. Self bailing boat is amazing — no bucket needed The only reason I didn’t give the full out 5 stars was two reasons: 1. After the rapids, you coast for like 3 miles — kinda boring — at that point wanted to hurry up so we could get back to our rented camp to take a shower and warm up! 2. With that said, at least we were the last boat. We took our sweet time so it sucks for the first boat to arrive at the end since then they have to sit there and wait until all the other boats come in before we can all get back on the bus and head back to the main office. Either way, everyone had a great time, Brad let us try a bunch of cool things with the hydraulics and it was enjoyed by all!!!

Been rafting a few times this year and ARC tops the list! Family owned business, fully equipped on a more challenging river(compared to PA) and my goodness, and very quick process to boat loading as opposed to others who gives you a 45 min prep talk. We went on a group of 6(4 guys, 2 girls), most fairly inexperience in WW rafting, but had a blast! 19 miles of beautiful scenery, cat 3 – 4WW, self bailing boats so no need to keep shoveling water off your raft. Basic lunch is provided, but do ask if you can bring your own. Look for Brad, cool and fun guide and he’s make sure you’ll have a great time!(ask for surfing, he’s awesome with that).

Went with a group of 13. Had a great time. Split up into two rafts and each raft said it was awesome. Very nice and helpful guides. Fun trip. For $ 80, you get great bang for your buck. Would definitely recommend!
