This course should be embarrassed to charge a greens fee given what pitiful shape their greens are in. Covered in sand, not trimmed, have to hit the putt as hard as you can to get it to go anywhere. Bumpy. Course overall is just in horrible shape. Only bright spot was we played in 3 ½ hours so we didn’t have to endure the conditions of this course longer. Don’t know what happened since earlier reviews, but this course is a joke. Play anywhere else and it will be better.

Though I have not personally played the golf course here, I can attest to the services since we held a memorial golf tournament here this past weekend. The staff and directors were super helpful in getting a 64 player fundraising tournament. For a flat rate, you could enter the tournament and play 18 holes of golf, try for prizes, and have dinner at the clubhouse when you were done playing. There were hole-in-one prizes on some of the Par 3 holes so I was stationed at hole #17… Players had a chance to win a pair of round-trip tickets via Expedia. Unfortunately I sat there for about 4.5hrs without a hole in one. there was some close calls though and it was fun to watch the players have fun with it. The Divide provided 32 carts, each with a personalized placard for the players riding in them. They also provided range balls so the players can hit the driving range and warm-up before the tournament. It was pretty impressive watching a «shot-gun» start where all the carts simultaneously left the clubhouse, staggered at all the holes, and then made their way around the course. The Divide also had a person to place signs of all the hole sponsors and extra signage. From what I saw, riding around and running errands, the course is kept in good condition. The greens were well maintained. Some of the cart paths could be confusing without proper markings, but it all worked out. All-in-all… it was a nice day and we raised funds to send working high school students in the Philippines through night school to finish their high school degrees.

The Divide is back. I am so glad that the new owners have invested the money and the time to return the course to the condition we all want. Since they took over they have replaced all of the sand traps, fertilized the fairways, gotten the greens into excellent shape, made the driving range and the rest of the practice area an asset to the course and worked on the appearance of the course. They have also brought in really nice merchandise to the pro shop and upgraded the service in the snack bar. It is nice to have a top shelf golf course ready for play around the corner.

The Divide was once a really nice golf course. The course was well maintained, and the greens were without reproach. But those times have passed. Bankruptcy issues have caused the course to scale back to very average standards. The greens are passable, with plenty of brown spots. The rates are reasonable for the area, but it remains well down my list of places to golf.

Part of the Carolina Golf Trail along with the Charlotte Golf Links. The Divide is a long course that is definitely not walkable. I have played the Divide more than another course. One of the better deals in the area. When I first started playing the course it seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere. However, I485 now runs along the edge of the course. Be careful when looking for balls around the water hazards since snakes are plentiful. I have seen a couple big ones around the tie of the 2nd hole.
