So I came to this bar as part of an after party where all of my drinks and cover were paid for. I have to say that I did have some fun but it’s just a standard bar. The floors are sticky and where we were situated there was a leak in the ceiling so they set us up in the«VIP» area and there was a large bucket collecting water. I’m not sure that I would ever be back on my own.

Great place for an event. Strong Sqallow of a drink chunk full of ice Bathrooms Smelled like an unkept Zoo! Elevator got stuck at a very busy time.

I always have a good time when I come here. I like it more than Taps and Dolls downstairs as far as a party atmosphere goes. The DJs are usually good, and play music that is usually a mix of EDM and hip hop stuff, but it can vary depending on who is there that night. The selling point here is that they have one of the larger spaces for dancing downtown. The large room with the stage looks set to be utilized for larger events or concerts, but I have never seen it host more than just a DJ table. This is the room with most of the dancing, and it has a bar in the back. It’s loud everywhere, but there are a few places that are less congested. The room in the far back with a bar is more of a space with no dancing and isn’t quite as full so it offers room to stand around and chat with your group. It also has a cool old safe that they keep liquor in. The front room where you come in has a smaller dance floor, but the area around the bar also has plenty of space without dancing. They have a couple areas that I think they use for bottle service and at least one of them is really nice, but I don’t know what their prices are like on that front. If I am counting correctly they have 3 full service bars in here, and getting a drink is never difficult. As far as the crowd goes, it’s a step up from places in Broad Ripple like Rock Lobster or Mineshaft. More of a crowd of young professionals than a crowd of newly turned 21 years old college kids, and it seems to be more fun than the usual shit show at dance bars. It can still turn into a room full of a bunch of douchey guys, but it happens less often than other places. I’d say if you are looking for a party type atmosphere, shoot for arriving around 11, which is when it is the most full. I think the usual $ 5 cover puts this place down a notch in my rating. It is a fun crowd and good dance music with plenty of space, but usually a place with cover has better drink specials. They don’t really offer anything that is a great special, at least on the weekends. The one cover does get you into both Taps and Dolls and Sky Bar, so value the cover as you think appropriate.

Went last night with my wife, music was great and the service was good but the door guys were extremely disrespectful I wont step in the building again. I bought a bottle and spent over 150 dollars in drinks in a couple hours to share with a big group of friends. I left to meet a friend and asked to get a stamp, they refused to give me one and they stated I would have to pay to get back in. I decided i would leave and take my business somewhere else. I would recommend going to bartini’s or 6 lounge if you’re looking for a good dance club alternative with staff members who are not disrespectful.

There should be a rule about drinking on the dance floor. Not only are you more likely to spill your drink on a stranger, but it leaves the floor all sticky. Apart from this, it’s a decent place for dancing with some pretty great albeit loud tunes.

I went to 247 Sky Bar randomly with some friends to see a show and had a relatively decent time at this bar. It’s located downtown, so definitely figure out the parking and travel situation out beforehand as it is located in a pretty busy area. The Sky Bar is on the top floor, so you must climb quite a few stairs to get to your intended location, but it’s certainly not terrible. It was a $ 5 cover, and I’m assuming this happens on most weekends here. The top floor was extremely big, with a large stage, groovin’ room, and lots of tables and chairs for people to sit and watch the act. In the other room, there was another dance floor as well as the full bar. The bar was a little expensive, about $ 6 total for a domestic beer after tip, so I would recommend some light drinking before you come here. There are multiple rooms on the top floor, each holding their own unique feature. In one of the smaller rooms near the bathrooms, there was a photo booth machine, which means for some entertaining pictures.

I am giving this 3 stars due to the fact that I was way out of my comfort zone and age range to even be here. 2 stars would be more fitting. I went to support a friend. drinks were good and the bartender was attentive. I think because I was old enough to be his mother, I stood out as a potential big tipper. :-) as most clubs go, this one does not really get«going» until late, lots of good music as well as an ample dance floor. The 21– 27 year old will have a great time!

This is on the third floor of the building, above 6 Lounge and Taps & Dolls. 1 cover for both Taps & Dolls and 247 Sky Bar, $ 5 on a recent Saturday night. 2 dance floors, 3 DJs. 1 of dance floors is absolutely HUGE so you can dance and try to avoid creepers, bonus! Overall pretty young crowd here. Get there before midnight on a Friday or Saturday night to grab a table, otherwise you will be standing all night. Decent drink prices for Meridian St. Good middle ground place between the skeeviness of Have a Nice Day Café and the more high-end Blu and Subterra. Pretty similar to Bartinis but at least here you are supporting a LOCALBUSINESS, not a national chain! One MAJOR star subtracted for how smoky it is in there, even with huge ceilings and an overall big space it is just permeated by smoke.
