I am always reluctant to give a poor review, especially with a salon. I give them 3 tries to get things right. With A Touch of Class, I really wanted to like them, but after having my hair colored, keratin treated, and trimmed, I’ll be moving on to another salon. The price is what I consider on the high side for the poor quality of service they provide. I’ve relocated to the Indy area from Eastern Pennsylvania and have gotten better(and more) services for less money from stylists who consistently educate themselves on the latest trends and treatments in New York City. When I first came to A Touch of Class, I asked the owner/stylist to color my hair with a specific product and color that I’ve been using for years. She touched up my roots but did nothing more. On the second visit I politely suggested again that she try using the color in the manner and for the time frame that my previous stylist had and she still only touched up my roots. By the third visit I insisted that she do my roots and then for the last 10 minutes put the color throughout my long hair to even it out. Her response was a curt, «I was planning on doing that.» Really? You haven’t yet. Also, when I asked that she cut Iong, tapered bangs, similar to a picture I showed her of myself, she twisted my wet hair into a pony tail in the front and cut it way above my eyebrows giving me TOOSHORT uneven bangs in the front that I could do nothing with when it was dry. After spending nearly $ 300 at this salon, I will take my money and my business elsewhere.
