I’m still mad! They were so rude is us. They had people in line, so we’re waiting to check in for an appointment. They don’t acknowledge us, don’t say anything to us, but can see we are waiting. By the time we get to the counter, the dr has left for lunch. We will never bother them with our business again.

What a surprisingly pleasant experience! A young staff(assistants and doctors alike), a minimal wait time even on weekends, proper patience when talking through insurance information, and flexible!

I have gotten glasses and contacts from Americas Best for years. I got tired of shelling out $ 300 every time I wanted new glasses… with insurance! Their eye care club covers exams and discounts on contacts/glasses for 3 years for $ 99. I have no complaints for this location. I’ve been coming here for a couple years and have always been in and out within a reasonable amount of time given the reason for my visit. Staff is friendly.

If there were negative stars I would need ten of those, plus three daggers, and eight crossed eyes to express how much I despise the customer service of America’s Best Contacts and glasses. The Dr is ok, that’s great… Since 2006 I haven’t experienced a terrible Dr. It may have taken ages for me to write a coherent review, however(after receiving a reminder to renew my membership) it’s long overdue! The service is the WORST. Aside from being a general abomination– *long wait times, even with an appointment *being scheduled during the Drs lunch hour *scheduled after the Dr has left for the day *getting a call that your product is in/going to the store and it’s not *standing at the entrance and not being greeted or much less looked at As a previous customer wearing glasses only, I switched over to the contact eye club. I complained for months that my vision was horrible and was told it would be taken care of by Rex-who was later fired for doing the most nothing for customers. Finally, Rex realized the issue may be because my prescription from astigmatism was changed drastically. He promised to get it fixed and provide complimentary contacts! The contacts I was placed in at first were all wrong. I would see halos around the lights and had several accidents including running off the road and over a median… Nearly losing my life(and my dear brother) is not enough to rouse some type of empathy from America’s best: Tina, Julia, June, Linda, Michelle and the list of others. I was the only one not aware that Rex was a hot mess, and no one offered a sincere apology except the Dr. and automated email complaint responses. I heard, «We’re not giving you contacts… You can have 40% off.» Even though I paid for the membership, I paid for the trips back and forth to the Dr, paid for the bogus contacts, and paid for the headaches, heart aches, and eye strain… I didn’t(after all this) want to pay for more until an offer seemed reasonable. I wrote to BBB which was then sent over to there HQ which I still have yet to hear back from… so I will speak with them when I visit my sister in Atlanta. I will get my last proper contact lenses(after I have avoided this place completely for months) because clearly I paid for them, I am not angry anymore. I also don’t have nightmares as much of dying in a car crash or being blind, I do tear up at the thought of my baby brother’s shear terror seeing a careening semi fly by. Going here will make you seriously consider LASIK in a back alley with a flash light and butter knife, type of way(sorry not sorry). Do not go here, nope don’t…not to sound dramatic, but do you really want to risk your life over poor service?

I’ve been a customer of America’s best contact lenses since the early 1980s originating in Chicago. This Indianapolis 38th St. office location was truly an example of great customer service. Courtney, Gloria, Dr. Papalia, Meghan & rest of staff are very efficient & have truly won my continued support for this establishment. I myself, am in the healthcare arena & travel a lot & make it a point to schedule appointments with Dr. Papalia to examine my eyes due to her excellent quality of care for her patients. She explains everything in a clinical manner that makes sense. I’ve been an eye club member for decades & this specific 38th street location in Indianapolis has truly surpassed my expectations! Thanks again!

I needed to pick up some new glasses on the cheap and in a decent turn around. I called and they got me in and taken care of within the hour. Prices were decent also, for 157 I got eye exams for the next three years, contact and glasses eye exams done that day and two pairs of glasses. Why didnt I find this place earlier. Great staff. Had a blast just Bsing with Wendy. Will go here from now on!

I was traveling from IL to NC. One of my trial contacts felt wrong. Long story short. Gloria, Courtney, and the manager were very kind and helpful. making calls to the IL store and giving me a replacement contact! ALL while they were VERY busy… and not for a minute did they make me feel like I was a bother! I am so glad that I chose America’s Best.
