Great selection of gift items. One of the workers there was a little rude, but the other worker was really quite nice. Maybe the first lady was just tired. :P Kinda pricey. For example, pretty pottery mugs for $ 55 each.

If you need a special gift this is the place to shop! They have a large selection of beautiful jewelry. There is an item in every price range. They have local and American made jewelry that isn’t sold in other stores. They also have pottery, cards, baby shoes, and the most darling mustache pacifiers! This is where I want my husband to shop for jewelry for me, not at the mall! I bought my nieces bracelets there that they love. The ladies working were so friendly and welcoming and not pushy.

Interesting little joint in Broad Ripple. I enjoyed the local artists whose work was on sale, but at the same time they just shoved it with the rest of the inventory. That should be something to be proud of!!! It took me 20 minutes to find they had PUP… It was just placed towards the back on a shelf. Take pride! Other than that slight annoyance, they do have a serious collection of jewelry and such that would make any girl max out a credit card. Some is expensive, others are not. I bought a cute pair of earrings for $ 12 and some goat milk soap as a gift for $ 7. Not shabby at all. Definitely a place to find some eclectic jewelry or a neat gift for someone. maybe I just wish they were like a certain Irvington store that specifically sells local wares.

Ladies and gentleman, stop your worrying. I have found my imaginary wedding ring from my imaginary fiancé for our imaginary wedding. For quite some time I have said that I wanted a natural looking pearl for my ring — not a diamond kind of gal. My gypsy hands would look silly with a sparkling diamond. But, never had I ever thought to desire a ring crafted by a local artisan until I stepped into Artifacts. What better way to pump some mula into the local art community than with an item you’re going to be purchasing anyway? The store is full of neat, cutesy little gift items, but most of all brilliant jewelry. I like to dangle weird décor from my ears — be it zippers, black walnut shells, pennies, etc. So, it’s always refreshing to come across fellow jewelry quirks who think outside the box. Unfortunately, most of the items were outside of my price range. Looks like my imaginary fiancé will have to be an imaginary gazillionaire.

This place definitely has some cool items… I enjoy walking through here, but very often I will just take a photo of the item that interests me and try to find it online through the original vendor. The markup on items here is insane and I just can’t justify spending the money they charge when you can buy the exactly same things for half the price elsewhere. Whomever prices their inventory definitely needs a reality check. Staff is also incredibly rude and smug… I was interested in a ring, but was unsure about wanting to spend the money, and she acted like it was a hassle to show it to me because it was taking away her valuable computer usage time. If you’re going to charge those prices, you should learn some level of customer service.

Artifacts is one of those places you have to stop in whenever you’re strolling through Broad Ripple. Everything is so cool to look at, and the store has a breezy, relaxing feel. Some of the works of art, like paintings and ceramics, are pricey, as to be expected for a place that’s part art gallery. But there are also moderately-priced housewares that always catch my eye. And near the front of the store there’s a section for cool little items that are great for gift shopping! I believe they also do custom framing.

Is it an art gallery? A jewelry store? A place to buy miniature eye delights for the fashion-forward condo? It describes itself as «a creative design gallery featuring the work of American artists and craftsmen.» Expect to pay a pretty penny here for one-of-a-kind items. I’ve seen everything from found object pig statues to more demure mugs here – but everything’s interesting. Don’t pass up the highly intricate and original jewelry littered around the store.
