I came here with my family for dinner(10 people) and we absolutely love the pizza here. The atmosphere is average but outdoor seating is very nice. My biggest issue was the service. The attitudes were atrocious. Our waitress didn’t offer basics with our appetizers(i.e. Marinara sauce with out cheese bread), we had to repeatedly request a cup for a child(received it after almost 2 hours), when asked for to go boxes(we had several 16 inch pizzas), they bring a few styrofoam containers that didn’t even fit the pizzas without stacking them. I had to ask for actual pizza boxes, when I did our server had an attitude. She threw them on the table and walked away. I’m accustomed to them even boxing it up for you. I wish I would have spoken with a manager because we appeared to be an inconvenience at every turn, instead we wrapped up our family dinner and went home. Overall, good pizza and terrible service. I’m visiting my family in Indy and was looking forward to a nice dinner, instead we were treated like we were a burden. I have zero interest in supporting any establishments that don’t treat patrons with the minimal respect and service they deserve as a paying customer.

Very good and unique pizza. The garlic bread was also extremely good. Also the price was very reasonable. I would definitely come back again.

This is hands down some of the BEST za in the Indianapolis area! Not to mention the atmosphere of the place is super cool and friendly. Definitely stop by for a great experience. Oh and I would recommend their veggie pizzas!

A friend and I weren’t exactly looking to eat at Bazbeaux tonight(a Tuesday) but we happened upon it and decided to grab some dinner. Parking seems like it could be a challenge on a busier night. It seemed pretty busy when we went but we were sat immediately outside. The food came out surprisingly quickly and was delicious. I created my own pizza and got the impression that you can’t go wrong with any topping combination. My friend got the Stromboli and commented that she could eat it every day. We were both very pleased.

One word. Amazing. Pizza like you’ve never had and will be craving forever. Take a pie home half-baked and when it comes from your oven it’s as if you’re still there. Perfection.

The best pizza in Indianapolis. Fresh, zany toppings and the coldest, local-est beers around(if a smidge overpriced).

Bazbeaux pizza is good but could be better! We dropped in on a busy night and waited about 20 – 30 minutes to be seated. Once seated our waiter came right over. We were so hungry we ordered everything all at once. Our orders included the award winning cheese garlic bread, a house salad with housemade cucumber dressing(yum), a custom chicken-pesto-pepperioncini pizza, a ½ magherita and ½ cajuin chicken pizza, the colossus pizza, and a ½ meat lovers(their version) and half tchopachulas pizza. There were 4 of us by the way. The cheesy garlic bread came out 1st. It was delicious. I can see why they win for this. The salad was ok. The cucumber dressing really made it. The dressing reminded me of Greek tatziki. The pizza arrived hot! It wasn’t as crispy as I imagined for a thin crust pizza. It was good but not necesarrily great. We all agreed the dough could use some work… butter, garlic, herbs, salt. In all we enjoyed it. Will we be back… maybe.

Usually we roll with the pepperoni, Hawaiian, or something else classic. But this is not a typical pizza place. I ordered the regular salad and it was really good. And we ordered the CHILOPÉPIZZA and it was amazing. If you like taco-style pizzas or anything similar, I highly recommend. This was a unique pizza to try out and I will visit if in the area again.

Bazbeaux provides fresh pizza and good beer to the people, what more can you ask for? I won’t say that it’s my favorite pizza in Indy-but you really can’t beat this location, parking, and outdoor seating(seasonal). It’s a great place to go with friends and their specialty pizzas are well described in the menu, which makes it hard to choose! Most recently I tried the Mediterranean, complete with chorizo and feta – it was awesome! The BBQ pizza was good but had too many green peppers for my taste. Bazbeaux is definitely worth the hype, you’re guaranteed have a good time and leave with a happy belly.

Bazbeaux reminds me much of a college town pizza joint. This is the place to go when you want a standard pizza. They do offer some off the books items… But they are at their best with their normal pies. Their salads are good. They have variety outside the standard iceberg bag mix. I like the kale salad they have! We have always had pleasant service at this Broad Ripple location and there is usually easy parking near by. Neither can be said for the downtown location. They were pretty iffy on letting us have our dog on the patio when no one else was outside! I think my biggest complaint is with their«award winning garlic bread». No awards from me in that department. Perhaps if it was called cheese bread I could see their point but almost no garlic flavor came through.

HEY… Indy has a great Pizza place. Family friendly, great staff, patio, and great pizza Its the crust, the fresh ingredients, tangy sauce and gooey cheese. We had the BBQ chicken, peperoni mushroom and a white pizza although I personally only ate the pep /mushroom but the next time I’m in Indy I will return

We had it delivered which was fast and easy. What showed up at our door was a cheesy gift of goodness. We’ve tried 4 local pizza places since we moved here and this is our #1 choice. Every other pizza place should just close their doors and go home in shame. Oh, and their Greek salad! Well, just get it and thank me later.

Give me Bazbeaux or give me death! Ok, that was dramatic… But seriously, I don’t know how anyone who lives in Indy hasn’t given this little gem a try. The pizza always tastes so fresh and delicious, and that cheesy pesto bread is just to die for. I love stopping in and dining in, but there is an option to deliver, and you know I’ve taken them up on it a time or two ;) Any time you see that Bazbeaux sign, you should just go ahead and try a slice, I promise you won’t be dismayed!

I just can’t say enough about the spinach salad here. Every time I get it I am still talking about it for days. The pizza is amazing too, of course. Many styles to choose from and I doubt you will ever be disappointed. Come for pizza, but get the spinach salad too.

I will confess that during my last two Ironman races, to distract myself from the pain in my crooked feet, I have actually talked about what I planned to order and vigorously consume from Bazbeaux Pizza when I got back to Indy. If it’s after racing 140.6 miles or just a lazy Sunday in Broad Ripple, Bazbeaux Pizza does no disappoint. Their unique pizza topping combinations are definitely unprecedented for a Midwestern pie, but there truly is a method to their madness. Don’t be discouraged by shrimp on your pizza or untraditional veggies like eggplant. Don’t forget to try the salads accompanied with homemade dressings. I would put the creamy basil and creamy cucumber dressing on everything I eat if I could. The Board Ripple location is great for people watching with ample outdoor seating right on the canal, both on the front patio and roof patio. While the roof patio is not accessible for individuals with handicap needs, there is ample, accessible seating on the front patio and inside. Parking is also a challenge especially on busy weekends in Broad Ripple. The service at the Broad Ripple location is always hit or miss. Even on a slower Sunday it can take a bit of time to get your drinks, refills and orders placed. On our most recent rendezvous with Bazbeaux, we noticed several folks waiting excessively long for the hostess to greet them while plenty of tables sat open. For me the pizza, salads and sandwiches get five stars time and time again. The service consistently performs at a 3.5 — 4 with service tending to slip the busier this location gets. Despite often long waits, I’ll always return to Bazbeaux as their pizza call for me. It’s an Indy institution and must have.

Good eats. Nice friendly service. Realizing not a lot of great, non spicy ish options for kids. So we created our own pizza topping mix today.

On my first day in Carmel/Indianapolis, I asked some locals, «Which restaurant is my gateway to restaurants in Indy,» and I get a resounding chorus of recommendations for Bazbeaux Pizza. I followed these recommendations with extremely high hopes, but ultimately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The crust was dry, the service was slow, the toppings were average, and I left Bazbeaux feeling deflated and unfulfilled. Fortunately, not all hope was lost and I didn’t give up on the most hyped pizza in Indy. For the last three years, I have tried Bazbeaux on different occasions and I have been trying to author a review that encompasses all of my feeling towards this cornerstone of Indy Cuisine. If you’ve made it through my exposition, congrats, here’s my review: The bottom line is Bazbeaux has decent pizza. Is it the best pizza in Indy? That’s debatable. The crust has a tendency to be way too crispy and flavorless, but I have also had a good and tender crust there. The worst sin there is inconsistency. The toppings are good quality and the specialty pizzas are creatively tasty. Is it worth the hype? Probably not, but people do love the place. Ultimately, Is it worth a trip to some of the busiest streets in the city? Absolutely. The service might be slow if you catch them on a bad night, but its always worth it to go patronize a local business. Please just heed my warning, and leave your expectations at the door. If it doesn’t live up to them, you won’t require three years to figure out how to describe the place.

Bazbeaux is the type of restaurant you stumble upon. It is on the corner of two streets and does not have many advertisements in your face. We sat outside because it was a nice day. They had a covered patio with lights to give it a nice ambiance. I bet it would have looked prettier at night. We ordered a large Bazbeaux special and it was enough to feed the four of us. I thoroughly enjoyed the crust because it wasn’t too thin, but it was thick enough to give some subsistence and depth to the pizza. Our pizza did not have to be masked by toppings; rather, it the simple toppings of basil, garlic, and sun-dried tomatoes. We also had the cheesy garlic bread which was to die for. We wished we had more!

They continually get voted #1 in Indiana. They deserve the high marks. Our current favorite is the Bazbeaux Special — sun dried tomatoes, basil and garlic. But — they have many more to select and you won’t go wrong. The Broad Ripple location has outdoor seating at street level and rooftop seating as well. Both are sheltered so a little rain will be ok! If you like local beer, they always have local brews on tap and in bottle. As I sit here writing this review, I am waiting for my carry out. You can call ahead for carry out… or… wait until you get here, have a local beer while you wait :) Every time I have been here, I have had top notch service. Also there is carry out parking so don’t pay to park!

The best pizza in the city. As a family we can all have what we want. Vegetarian pizza for my husband and I — Spring, Greek, or Veggie. The kids love The Hawaiian. The patio is nice in the warmer months and of course anywhere I can grab a local beers gets brownie points.
