Don’t waste you time because with today’s special you can’t really say waste your money… today I waited 35 mins in a line just to get two burnt pizzas! Instead of rotating the pizza in the order they came in the oven lined up that way, they my pizza out after several ones that came in the oven following my two. For my son it was six pizzas later and his was burnt and I asked can I have a pizza that’s not burned on the bottom and the manager in the black shirt ignored me and just yelled another pep pizza and didn’t even respond to me nor ask what we had on it because we actually had extra pep and extra sauce. He was rude so I didn’t bother asking him to redo my pizza! Now that I’m home at eating it, I’m soooooo grossed out because it taste like burnt crust and looks like it. See my pic

Blaze pizza is not only fast and extremely convenient but it’s one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. I loved the Subway/chipotle style ordering that’s very straightforward and easy. The ingredients are authentic and fresh and the thin crust is perfect. I have no idea how this place stays profitable with the quality of ingredients they have at the price they sell their pizzas at. The only way I could see this place getting anything less than 5 stars is because the reviewer made their own bad decisions with their pizza toppings

Was really pizza. One us your only option. I threw out half the pizza as I was traveling and could not finish. But would come back again for sure.

Love this place. Pizza is fast, fresh and reasonably priced. I’m a big fan of the BBQ chicken, but I also build my own pizza quite a bit. I love all the fresh ingredients and choices. During lunch and dinner it can be pretty loud, so don’t expect it to be a place for a quiet conversation. Has a nice, contemporary décor. Best to eat it there when it is fresh out of the oven, but you can get it to go. If you haven’t tried it yet — do!

While the pizza was phenomenal, the girls working the line were very immature and not attentive to their customers. We had to repeat what we wanted many times as they were laughing and joking with each other instead of focusing on their jobs

I’d been contemplating a visit to Blaze, but there’s really not one convenient to my neighborhood yet and the cold, winter doldrums(What is a doldrum anyway?) have made me not want to stray far from my humble abode. However, it’s February 28th and the temperature is hitting 60 degrees today with the sun shining in abundance. So, today I decided to wander. On a trip to Indy’s Northwestside, I stumbled across this location of Blaze and popped in for lunch. Blaze is, as you might guess, a place where you can get a fast-fired pizza for a reasonable price. If you’re thinking Project Pie and/or Pie Five, then you have an idea of what to expect. Specifically, the entire layout of Blaze struck me as a warmer version of Project Pie minus the motivational quotes and plus a greater variation in colors. Blazed serves up the standard one-size fired pizza with made-from-scratch dough and all-natural ingredients. As seems to be the style these days, there’s a few themed pizzas, a build-your own option, a one-topper, and a simple pie. They offer began and gluten-free options, salads, a dessert and both fountain and bottled drink options. As is also true of most pizza joints in this sub-genre, you work your way through the line, pay, then they call your name in the reported 180-seconds it takes the pizza to be ready. I should stress that the 180 seconds is cooking time and, if busy, it may actually take a bit longer. Blaze is located in a small strip center alongside a Farm Bureau insurance and a Panda Express. They have at least a couple ADA compliant parking spots along with an appropriate curb cut. The door is your standard double-glass doors and, as near as I could tell, the restaurant is very wheelchair friendly, though the serve your own fountain for drinks is a touch high. The person handing me the pizza brought the pizza around from the counter for easier access to me in a wheelchair, a nice touch. Additionally, a few minutes after I arrived a visually impaired diner came in with a service dog — I was impressed to see the crew not even flinch. While this should be the case, it’s amazing how often I hear negative comments about service dogs. I intended to sit there and casually enjoy lunch while reading my Sunday paper, a task that was easy to accomplish. The overhead music was audible, but not loud. The décor integrates some wood and some warm, intimate graphics that help give the open concept a less sterile feeling — an issue that always bugs me at Project Pie. Blaze, part of a growing national chain(actually, I think international with at least a couple Canadian locations), offers fundraising options for non-profits and they also seem to have more emphasis on customer service than Project Pie. While both places allow you to watch the construction of your pizza, the mostly younger employees at Blaze seemed more social and, quite honestly, they seemed happier to be there. The pizza itself was good, but certainly not along the lines of gourmet pizza. It’s well done and quickly done pizza that’s great if you want a quick meal. I will also note that I hate for $ 10.03 and ordered the Meat Eaters specialty pizza that includes pepperoni, crumbled meatballs, red onion, mozzarella, and red sauce. You can even go lower and it’s definitely possible to eat for less than a ten spot. That makes it decidedly more affordable than Project Pie. The crowd, mostly looking like a post-church crowd, was consistent but the place was never completely packed. Even when full, I was able to wheel around. Right now, Central Indiana has three locations — near IUPUI, 87th& Michigan Road and in Carmel. I wrestled with this rating quite a bit. I’m not comfortable with a 5-star rating, though I’m aware I also gave Project Pie a 4-star rating. Do I lower Project Pie? That doesn’t feel right. For different reasons, both places hit the 4-star rating for me. If I had to choose, I’d give an ever so slight nod to Blaze but with Project Pie being closer to my home it’s likely to still get most of my business for now.

I really do hate being against the hype here. The thing that gives this place 2 stars is the quality and taste of the pizza, it is amazing and the speed is amazing. I have been to the downtown location and the Carmel location. I was a manager at a pizza restaurants myself, and this location needs help! I come here frequently and it is astonishing how fast and drastic this place has fallen in service. The first two times I came I was greeted warmly, fast pizza, great quality. The last two visit I have had have been a disaster. One night I come in and they are cleaning up at 9:30. That is a hour and a half before they close. They have ingredients pulled out of the cooling tables as they cleaned. The customer in front of me complained and then walked away. After that my brother and I waited quite a while till they began putting green the sauce on the first pizza. My brother moved down the line as the workers left me again. By the time I had my sauce on my pizza my brother’s pizza was fully cooked. They continued to debate on what happened with the customer and made fun of her calling crazy and an old bat. The manager came out and finished my pizza, I really liked his presence there, he had some energy. Today I went in one hour before closing time, one of the looked at me with and sighed very loudly, I could pass that off as just being tired. My brother and I were at the start of the line, and once again everything was pulled out. Not only was the work wiping the top and sides of the cooling tables with a dirty brown rag, she wiped the edges and a bit of the inside of the sauce pans as she placed them back. Even that, they had us waiting 10 mins till they got ready to make our pizza. Another worker came and quickened the process. As we sat down to eat another family came and the same worker sighed loudly. As that family left with there order the same work shouts«I am almost done!» As she cleaned. She then proceed to to clean the two next to us back and forth. All I am thinking rights now is is how they finally cleaned the tables, 95% of them were dirty to start with. I really can not comprehend how terrible the service is and the how much they love gossip more than doing their job. I will not be returning to this location ever.

I must say being new to the city not knowing where to go that might even come close to satisfying my appetite. This pizza spot is absolutely amazing. The professional, yet informative staff was definitely a plus. Not to mention the«Build your own pizza» for $ 7.45 with any topping. There is no other place where you can get any topping you’d like under $ 10. There was an issue with my pizza but, it was immediately brought to my attention. Greg, Tae and Dianna were amazing. As, were the rest of the staff. I highly recommend that everyone dines here. It was a more than enjoyable experience. Definitely will return soon !!!

I’ve been to the Blaze location in Carmel, but the 86 and Michigan store is definitely my new favorite! It’s incredibly clean, the staff is very accommodating, and my pizza is ready quickly and accurately every time. I’m indecisive and one of my first times there, the manager Jesse built me a pizza that was delicious! I also really like their blood orange lemonade. 5 stars for fresh food, a quick, fairly priced pizza, and how awesome and hot Jesse is. Winning!

I work right down the street so I was excited to try Blaze. I had heard good things about the location in Carmel that opened first. I’ve had lunch here a few times and will definitely keep them in my lunch rotation. I love the gluten free and vegan options. However, the service is really hit or miss. There always seems to be one employee that is less than friendly or seems like they just have no interest in fixing your lunch. Today was especially awkward. I only saw 4 employees in the store, three of which looked like they were in trouble or something? The manager took my money and disappeared? Maybe they were having an off day but they need to get it together because it was obvious to customers!

I love Blaze! My friends and I came in just a bit before closing but the staff was still very friendly and helpful even while they were cleaning up which was much appreciated. We all built our own pizzas which was no only fun but also delicious. I really like that it’s a fixed price for however many toppings you want. This is really great for vegetarians like me as it provides so many more options to choose from. I’ll definitely be back the next time I come through the city!

Oh my goodness, this is the only pizza I eat now. Prices are so reasonable. Pizzas are fast yet still very good. The sauce is perfect, not overpowered with seasoning. Everything about this place is amazing. Staff is always so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend trying it.

Super stingy with the toppings. I think they put one artichoke, three pieces of feta and two pieces of chicken on my pizza.

Worst experience at a Blaze. I love Blaze pizza, but it will be a long while before I go back to this location which is a shame since me and my wife were super excited that this opened near us. After a half hour of waiting we finally left with two burnt pizzas(mainly because we didn’t want to wait for them to be remade for a third time). I’d be highly surprised if any money was made tonight based on the number of remakes, free pizza cards, and free drinks that were handed out to everyone with burnt pizzas. I felt especially bad for the older gentlemen, who was busy tending to the pizza oven while running around handing out free cards and helping with refunds. In the meantime six or seven other workers were jammed in a line working on a couple of pizzas instead of helping him. We will at least make one more trip to this location to collect our free pizzas, but we are going to give it a couple of months. Hopefully by then they will have their act together(and a maintenance person to take a look at that oven).

I had been to the downtown and Carmel locations before, but this was my first visit to this new one which is dangerously close to where I live! I wasn’t feeling too creative tonight, so I went with the Art Lover’s pizza rather than building my own creation. I think the staff, many of whom were young teens, are still settling in a bit. The person making my pizza put diced zucchini on it instead of artichokes. When I mentioned it was supposed to have artichokes, she looked puzzled and said those were artichokes… she did then grudgingly put ¼ of an artichoke heart on the pizza when I pointed out that the diced veggies were labeled zucchini. Since I like zucchini, it wasn’t a huge deal; and I had a coupon for a free pizza, so opted to not make an issue out of it! The teens working the register were engaged in conversation and it took them a bit to notice customers waiting. There seemed to be one adult working tonight and he was busy with the oven. The pizza was tasty, the ingredients were fresh tasting and the crust was nice and chewy! The nutrition information is clearly posted, and while not health food, the pizzas are a better option than a lot of other fast food places. You can easily get a whole pizza under 800 calories and can probably make one for around 500 – 600 if you really try… I’m confident the teens will learn to tell the veggies apart with a bit more time and training and that they’ll keep learning customer service!

Very good. I personally like my pizza a little crispier. Will ask them to cook it a bit longer next visit. Otherwise no complaints

I love this place! I’ve been here multiple times and every time that I come I always get greeted with a smile! The service is great and so are the people. Probably the best thing about this place is definitely the unique choices they offer for pizza. It is DEFINITELY not your ordinary pizza place. If you’re willing to try something new and get great pizza with it, I recommend this place!

This place is awesome. Today was my first time in here and the staff was extremely enthusiastic. Even the guy sweating his balls off by the oven. The food was great. Better than your big pizza chains, I’m partial to the thin crust. Fresh toppings and crust.

NOT wood fired, but fast fired. Decent pizza, fresh ingredients, fast. Of course that depends on the person in front of you in line… I have been a few times. The oven often needs cleaned and there is a lot of flour and charred bits of pizza from those before you as a no charge bonus with each pizza. College spot, reasonably priced, $ 7.45 I think, for build your own option.

I was excited for this to open since I love the idea of a make your own pizza place. Blaze Pizza does not disappoint. The ingredients are all super fresh and I love that you can choose exactly what you want on your pizza. You can make your own for only 7 dollars and add as many toppings as you would like on it for no additional charge. Staff was very friendly and pizza was fired and served very quickly. Also nice gluten free and vegan options for those who choose. I will definitely be heading back to Blaze and will definitely recommend them in the future.

My pizza was made to order. I chose to build my own. All of the employees were super polite and worked quickly. You get to watch your pizza bake. Would recommend eating here again.

What a great experience! When you walk in the door the people working are so welcoming! I made the choice to build my own pizza, even though I will be back to try one of their signature pizzas! My pizza was made fast and delicious! I tried the side salad and the s’more pie as well, don’t forget to get the s’mores pie, YUM! Their blood orange lemonade was delicious. I am very impressed by this pizza spot and I can’t wait to come back!
