Blend Bar with Davidoff Cigars

In the last year, I’ve went from smoking fru-​fru girly dessert cigars… to full size big boy cigars. I’ve now experienced cigars and cigar bars in New Orleans, Mexico, Chicago, several in Dallas and I can confidently say that Blend is the best of the best.
The servers were super knowledgeable — kept our cigars lit, drinks filled, ashtrays emptied.
The space is roomy and well ventilated — lots of different seating options — couches for getting cozy, club chairs for chillin’, chairs with ottomans for putting up your feet, tables and chairs if you want a little room to work!
Nice job Indy, well done. Hope to be back some day.

During the day, the perfect place to grab lunch (yes they serve food, and yes, it is amazing) or take clients for an afternoon/​evening meeting to enjoy a drink & cigar. At night, a more upscale bar that has a surprising mix of men and women.
I would recommend for both a cigar connoisseur and someone who has never smoked a cigar in their life. Overall an amazing venue.

Music doesn’t fit. Good cigar and whiskey selection, but Hootie on the music selection?

I can’t speak to the food (didn’t partake), but I can speak to the bar and cigars as a business traveler who discovered this thanks to Unilocal.Make a visit!
First thing you need to know, this is a bar that has the finest air filtration system I have ever seen. Many patrons not smoking and enjoying very fine wine (really) –how often have you seen that?
Service is outstanding, atmosphere is very nice and belies the strip mall location. Large humidor that is a little more limited in brand selection than I would like, but if that is the only shortcoming I can certainly live with it.
If you are in the area and need to do some ‘remote office’ work, or just want some conversation over a good stick… go!

I only had one night in Indianapolis so I had to make it count! I found this place on a tourist guide of things to do while in the city so stopped for a visit.
As soon as I arrived I was promptly greeted and invited to the humidor. Now I am pretty knowledgable on my cigars as I do love a god cigar. Being that this is a Davidoff location only their brands were available. I ended up getting a light Dominican cigar with a slight sweetness for a finish.
One I had chosen my cigar they lit it up for me, I pulled up a chair to the bar and proceeded to sit there for three hours. I did. It even feel the time go buy. I had some brandy, souther durban, and a French press coffee. The bartender Richard was the most pleasant guy, full of stories, funny, and very helpful to me when making my drink selection — as a bar tender should be.
My whole experience here was great, I enjoyed myself, the atmosphere is relaxed and layer back, with a old school plantation house vibe. I will defiantly make the trip back to visit this place again.

I travel quite a bit for work and have smoked cigars in quite a few places and this may be my favorite place to smoke! The staff is super attentive, always has a great recommendation for cigars and drinks, and seem to really enjoy being at work! For a cigar bar of this quality the prices are very reasonable and they have something in everyone’s price range! I can’t wait to be back in Indianapolis to stop again!

I have been to both Blend and Nicky Blaines downtown and although I did enjoy my time at Nicky’s, I prefer Blend and here’s why:
— no cover charge. NB was $ 5/​person at the door when we went, and I realize they are downtown so it wasn’t a «shock» but it’s not like they had a live jazz band playing.
— Blend has an amazing filtration system going on. One of my friends has asthma and she didn’t need her inhaler at all which she found surprising.
— we felt taken care of by the staff. Our waiter was checking on us continuously throughout our evening. I’ve been to NB on three separate occasions and it wasn’t even comparable.
— They answered all our silly amateur questions about cigars and didn’t act pretentious about it.
— the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
— the bar menu is pretty extensive and prices range from reasonable to «treat yo self!».
If you are a cigar aficionado or just someone who wants to give a bourbon and cigarillo a whirl, I recommend checking this place out!

Upon entering, I was expecting to see the Dos Equis guy in the corner cuz this place is CLASSY! So different (and better) than Nicky Blaine’s. Blend is designed to give you an experience unlike any other. With the dim lighting, thick wood furniture, and colorful lighting, Blend makes you feel comfortable and included instead of feeling like an outsider. It’s sophisticated without being snooty. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and checked on us frequently. This was my first time here as it was a birthday destination with my girlfriends and we were excited to try some cigars and sip on a strong drink.
Their cocktail menu is abundant and the bartenders know their stuff! Their walk-​in humidor was huge! So much to choose from. There were always at least two staff members in the humidor to help you choose the perfect cigar for your night. All prices are listed in the humidor so it’s no surprise. Once you have your favorite choice, they cut the cigar and bring it to you to light it. From there, you sit back, enjoy the atmosphere, and feel like a Queen!
The best part? I left that night without smelling like an ashtray! Their ventilation system filters the air in the lounge every ten minutes. You can enjoy the evening feeling comfortable and breathing easy.
Ladies? There are hot men here. Run, don’t walk, to Blend!

Love this place! I’ve been coming here since it was Indy Cigar bar in keystone. They have an amazing selection of cigars and a great bourbon list. They have some good craft beers on tap.

Clean and fresh were not adjectives I would imagine crossing my mind when entering a cigar lounge. In this case however, they are the best words to describe the literal atmosphere of Blend. The air was clean, and not at all smokey which is a great change of pace for the type of establishment.
The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. Helped pick out a great cigar to pair with whatever you chose to drink. They did lean heavily on Davidoff, but it seems there is a brand partnership there so I wasn’t surprised at that. Prices weren’t out of this world, $ 14 to $ 45 were the price of cigars I had taken a peak at though I’m sure there were pricier.
Didn’t try the food, but I don’t believe you would come here for dinner.

Blend is a lovely space located between Keystone at the Crossing and Castleton in the Clearwater Crossing area of North East Indy. I actually didn’t expect the space to be as large as it is. Upon entry, I was surprised by how non-​smoky the atmospheric air was inside of Blend.
For the record, I’m not a smoker, and did not partake at Blend. It was great to see that the space was as warm and welcoming to a non-​smoker such as myself in addition to all of the cigar afficionados present. If I had to put a label on Blend, I’d call it: Giant Man Cave — But Classy. Leather furniture and dark wood dominate the décor at Blend, and a gentleman wearing a red velvet smoking jacket wouldn’t look out of place at all.
I was only able to give three stars, as I found the service at Blend a bit lacking. The waitstaff did not seem as efficient as I would like, and there was a considerable time lag between placing orders and receiving them.
My only regret is that I didn’t get to explore the humidor; I hear it’s grand. If you’re looking for a cultivated smoke, or just a quite place to catch the game, Blend might be just the place for you.

The location was good… and the people were friendly and I haven’t even started in yet on the cigars or the spirits! We were in a party of 8 to 10, but the place is best designed for smaller parties of 4 – 6.
The music was a live country band on a Saturday night… no comments. At a minimum, I expect any band to adjust to the clientele and play what the people want… so this was a slight disappointment.
Otherwise, I recommend visiting!

SHORT REVIEW: It’s great to have a prominent cigar lounge in Indy that offers a different experience than that of Nicky Blaine’s downtown. This one’s a keeper (but it’s an expensive one).
LONG REVIEW: Blend Bar & Cigar is luxurious. It brings a different experience to the cigar world in Indianapolis.
—- LOCATION/​/​FACILITY — It’s a first-​rate space, perfect for a date, a casual drink, and a cigar (or several). Blend is a classy, upscale, home for those with discerning tastes. Exquisite seating, private room, HD televisions, video wall, wine cellar, spotless restrooms, and more, this place is a gem. The ventilation leaves very little to be desired, as it’s wonderful to be in a smoking establishment and never be bothered with clouds. The staples here are in the name, Blend Bar & Cigar. The fully stocked, beautiful, illuminated marble bar is quite large, able to accommodate more than a dozen or so patrons seated comfortably. Be prepared to access a bevy of bourbons, a gaggle of gins, and a whole lotta whiskeys before, during, and after waltzing into the massive glass walk-​in humidor behind the bar. Home to dozens and dozens of brands, this is, quite obviously, their main attraction.
—- MANAGEMENT — There’s not too much to mention here, as the management didn’t make much of an appearance or statement. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.
—- SERVICE — Ensuring an experience that matches their top-​notch facilities is surely a requirement here. The waitstaff make their rounds incessantly to be sure there is no want from their patrons. They are quite eager to serve.
—- FOOD/​/​DRINK — The menu supports the mission of keeping guests comfortable and in their seats. The more time they spend in the building, the more relaxed we are, the more patronage we provide.
CONCLUSION: Indianapolis is more than corn. Indy’s got what other cities have, even if it’s in smaller doses. Blend is more than enough of just what we need on the way up to lux life.

Not too Expensive but great quality decent price. Atmosphere is comfortable. And it’s not a smokey environment. And great cuban sandwich.

Blend Bar & Cigar far exceeded my expectations, but with my past experiences at cigar bars, my expectations were pretty low. I should have Unilocaled this place before my friend and I decided to take a random trip here, because I wasn’t prepared for this luxurious experience.
You notice two things when you walk in: 1. It’s a very relaxed, yet classy lounge atmosphere. 2. «I can breathe». The ventilation in this place is outstanding, and not once did I feel stuffed up from everyone’s smoke.
The humidor is huge, with a stellar selection. It sits behind the bar with a large window to add an open, unique experience. The prices on the cigars were a tad too high, but considering the experience and length of the stay you’ll have, I don’t it’s an issue for those that can afford it.
The bar was beautiful, with a glowing top and comfortable chairs. A nice belt motored trio of fans sit above the bar that are quieter than a baby’s snore.
The service was amazing, my experience was amazing, and I look forward to coming back now that I know to wear the appropriate attire.

This outrageously beautiful bar (which happens to be a cigar bar as well as a full service beer, wine, and liquor bar) would appeal to just about everyone, as it’s gorgeous, swank, huge, and –best of all– barely had any tobacco odor present when I visited on a Saturday afternoon. Granted there were only 20 people present, and 10 cigars lit, but in attendance were men and women from their 20’s to a little woman who had to be in her 80’s, and all having a great experience it appeared.
The furniture (leather chairs, oriental rugs, gorgeous furnishings throughout) is so so so inviting to sit back and relax, with numerous large flat screens in semi-​private nooks plus 3 or 4 more above the amply stocked bar. I felt like a sultan in this beautiful cigar enclave. And NO cigar odors! Must have spent a sultan’s daily income on that ventilation system cuz it’s clean air you’re breathing.
The humidor is outstanding quality and well provisioned with premium cigars. The entire experience is absolutely 5-​star plus, with equally impressive table service. Amazing place, an oasis in the desert… M

Holy shit, this place is awesome. Very nice build out with a huge humidor as the backdrop to the large bar.
Friendly knowledgeable staff, good cigar selection and plenty of TVs.
The best thing about this place is the ventilation system is outstanding. My clothes didn’t have that smell the next day which is a big plus for women who don’t like the smokey smell.

So it is definitely not a dive cigar bar. I would probably hang a 5^th star but both times I’ve stopped, they have not had what I asked for: no Padrons, no amaretto. How can you open a high quality cigar lounge without the smooth, complex cigar from Padron???
Wonderful appointments, multiple flat screen but you have to beg them to stop the «in-​house» commercials for Blend. Hey, we are here! You don’t need to promote Blend on the tv!
Sorry…just dropped two stars. Walked in and sat down with my own stick. Nobody told me I had to purchase a stick from them to even buy a drink. What a rip. What goes around…
They pour a generous drink, at a generous price.
So, tried it again and had to update to a four. Food and service is outstanding.
