Whitmore Lake, MI
Course design is very unique with lots of creeks and greens are very smooth. Have played this course twice. The clubhouse staff range from indifferent to downright hostile at the pro shop counter. It rained and two guys asked if they could get a rain check after 12 holes and were told no they had played too many. Course is never busy probably because of the $ 100 greens fee.

Really nice course and staff. Spent the week-​end over in Indy for a business trip and had to rent clubs — ~$ 40 for a nice set of Ping G5. The course itself is very scenic with water and small hills.
The 4 holes in the speedway are a lot of fun, especially if you’re lucky and some drivers are out there practicing. Only downside is the green fee, but for the price you get a free peek inside IMS!
