Horrible food and even worse management. Adam the manager was downright rude and couldn’t care less about his guests. Sad how downhill this place has gone. Avoid at all cost!

Full disclosure: I don’t know about you, but free food is always good food. Our office had a party here over the holiday. The place was pretty dead for a Saturday. And by dead I mean our group of 60 or so were pretty much the only people there. That in no way means our experience was bad. The staff and the party coordinator did a great job of arranging the tables in the small private party area so we weren’t cramped. And our food was very good, I was impressed that they brought out almost everyone’s dish out the same time. And mind you, we didn’t have a set menu, we were able to order from the full menu. For an appetizer we had the applewood-smoked bacon, fresh tomato, avocado deviled eggs. The name is a mouth full and so was the deviled egg. Such an interesting combination that actually tastes really good. I had the Fresco Steak Tacos, which were really good, but I wish I got the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. I had a few bites of Dillon’s order; the sauce was amazing and the chicken cooked just right. I hate it when you order a chicken pasta dish and the it’s dry. No worries here. Thank you to the management and staff!

The food is just ok but their beer selection is really underrated. I’ve come here multiple times and been happy to see Three Floyd’s Gumball Head and Zombie Dust on tap.

Celebrated my daughter’s 17th birthday here with about 35 friends. The service was impeccable, the food was great and the live band was outstanding. The management and waiters did everything to make our evening special and easy!

It is a good restaurant. The location is great and if you go there during summer you should sit outside. The waiters are not helpful though. We asked for fries for at least three times and the waitress brought it in the third time. However the food is really good. I suggest you should try their wings they are really good.

I mean, it’s a Champps. It isn’t going to wow your socks off but it does have decent food. I do like this place because it is huge and you never have an issue with seating. Late nights this place gets wild with their outdoor patio getting packed. I don’t really have much else to say about this place. If you come here expecting the most amazing food, you aren’t going to get it… but if you come here with a group of friends to hang out, the food is plenty fine.

Champps was my go-to place for a few years when I lived up at River Crossing, but that was a couple years ago and I have only been back a handful of times since then, so I guess this is the disclaimer that a lot of my opinions of this place come from a couple years ago even though it doesn’t seem to have changed a whole lot since then. This is a good destination to go to if you want a crowd pleasing place with American style food, more TVs that you could possibly keep track of, and a fun atmosphere with a lively crowd. It’s a big place when you consider how large the outdoor area is, and it is set up to handle everything from pulling up a seat at the bar to very large parties. I think the best thing that they going for them as far as an offering that not many places get close to matching is their outdoor area. It’s a large space that sits right on a small lake, and they have made it very nice with lots of landscaping, a continual lineup of great music, a large outdoor bar, and I think there is even a fountain or two out there. A lot of their crowds later in the evenings are gathered out here listening and even dancing to the fun bands or DJs that they have setup right on the lake. Granted, the crowd is typically filled with cougars and midlife crisis guys wearing Ed Hardy and fedoras, but it’s still fun. If you don’t want to be outside, they also have a large bar with plenty of seating inside, as well as lots of other tables. Some of their seating is by the kitchen area which is open to the restaurant so you can even see the chefs working and the prepping of your food taking place. A portion of their windows along one wall open up so you can still get some fresh air while being out of the sun. The menu is comparable to a place like Rock Bottom or TGI Fridays, in that is very long and offers plenty of items to satisfy the usual American consumer without any regard to calories or fat. They offer a long list of appetizers, some large salads, a plethora of sandwiches and burger creations, and some specialty items like steaks, pasta dishes, or seasonal offerings. The portions are huge, and you will easily have a delicious meal for $ 12-$ 15 that you will need a to-go box for. Their beer list is usually pretty solid. It is filled with a lot of the crowd-pleasing major craft offerings, but also has a few things that are a little more interesting. They also have, or at least had, some great drink specials for different nights of the week. The service usually seems to be either exceptionally great or horrible. I don’t know why there is no middle ground here. I always have good luck when I sit at the bar, and the bartenders do a good job of keeping up with the people at the bar while also filling orders for the servers in the rest of the restaurant. If you are by yourself or a small group, sitting at the bar usually gets you in an out faster than a table, in my opinion. I have also had some great servers in the rest of the restaurant including one of the best experiences with a large group I have had anywhere, but there have also been some disastrous visits as well, including my last one in which we got up and left after still not receiving the drinks we ordered or putting in a food order after sitting for over 45 minutes. This place gets a solid 3 for their food and drink, but their awesome outdoor space and fun entertainment bump this one up to being better than just your average chain sports restaurant.

There’s a champps close by so we go there often and I’ve never had a negative experience. The food is decent and they’ve got a good amount of beers on tap. The summer time is the best time to go they’ve got a huge patio with live music over looking the pond.

I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is wonderful, on the inside it is spacious with a bar and tons of booths and televisions for those who want to have fun with a group of friends or sit and watch the game. They have awesome drink specials and have karaōke and bands that come in and play. During the week they have half price appetizers at night which is a steal and an expansive menu. The outdoor seating is wonderful. They have a bar outside by a beautiful body of water which is very relaxing to experience after a long day of work, oh, and they also have bands that play outside at night. The servers are always speedy and friendly and I have zero complaints about their food which they are NOT stingy with. They are in a great location and are good for dates, family, or hanging out solo. 5 stars from me!

Lunch 08−26−14; ordered fajitas tacos; the beef in the tacos were good flavor but cold; the chips were stale, cold and greasy. Taco Bell would put this place to shame. The substitute manager(part time bartender, waitress, Vanessa) apologized and comped the meal. The menu has changed for the worse and prices were elevated. There was no manager on duty and the kitchen manager was not on duty. Why is a waitress running the joint? Where is the leadership and review of the quality and condition of the food served? What a way to run a place. I suppose corporate is derelict in the management of this place. It will be just a matter of time for them to move on, the competition is just too good. Shame on Chammps Northside. No excuse for this type of food service anywhere.

Food 3.5 Value 4 Service 4 Atmosphere 4 Went for Bloody Mary bar on Sunday ’cause my friend has a problem — with vodka that is. Anyway, waitress hooked us up with a big olé drink for just five bucks; breakfast was good value as well. Oh and they have a couple of tvs if you like sports.

With the sun out and the temperature breaking 65 degrees for the first time in what felt like years, the hubby and I were on a mission for a place with outdoor seating so we could enjoy a nice beer. Upon being seated, we asked the hostess if we could sit outside and unfortunately they didn’t have a server out there… beautiful weather and no server outside? I was totally bummed. Luckily, after being seated on the main floor, the hubby and I put in our beer orders and started with chips and queso(delish!). It was pretty crazy in there because of all the basketball hooplah so we decided to check out another place right after. Our time at Champps was great although disappointing because of the lack of servers for their outdoor area. I hope as the weather starts to get nicer, they’ll have plenty of help out there.

Pretty good casual dining spot for the area. Decent draft beer selection and lots of typical bar food plus American-style entrees. They handled our large, walk-in party with ease and service was fairly efficient. Shared appetizers were mixed – a few duds and a couple pretty good. Overall good option for the area to grab a beer or bring a large group – just keep expectations moderate on food.

I missed Champps when I moved. and I’m happy to be back. We not be here every weekend, but its always good when we do go. I don’t realize how big this place is until we get inside. Our server was attentive and took good care of us. Their chips and queso is good. The salsa that come with it wasn’t my favorite, but worked. I got the cuban sandwich and was surprised! It was very good. The pork was cooked well and had great flavor. The ham wasn’t anything spectacular but it worked out just fine. The beer selection was OK but a bit expensive if I remember correctly. Overall a good experience. we will be back!

This location is spacious and inviting. I ordered the Crispy Southwest Avocado for an appetizer — a fried avocade seemed like a novel idea. Unfortunately, it was rather tasteless. I had a Veggie Burger that wasn’t great either. The highlight of the meal was the Island Rum Punch — they had a very appealling cocktail list. Over-priced though.

This place is extraordinary for its mediocrity. What’s curious is that there seems to be a very tight inverse correlation between the number of TVs in an establishment and the shoddiness of the food in that establishment. This makes complete sense as people who go to an establishment because it has many TVs probably don’t care and/or don’t have the palette to care about how plain the food is. Since Champp’s has about 5,000 TVs in it, the food is comparable to what you might find if you went to Walmart, bought some frozen prepared«food», threw it into the microwave, and then«cooked» it. Everything I had here was fried, heavily battered, chewy, overly salted, or dry. And usually all of the above. So why not one star? Because I accept that the 5,000 TVs offer some value for at least some people. If you like going to a place with 5,000 TVs and over-priced food whose quality is comparable to that of frozen Walmart food, this place is waiting for you.

I really wish I could give this place a better review. I really want to like it and like it a lot. But, the fact is, there’s really nothing that sets it apart from the rest of the corporate sports bars. It’s good, but not THAT good. The service is good, but not THAT good. It’s clean. There are a lot of TVs around. The food is decent, as is the service. But, in 1 square mile, you can 20 places exactly like this, if not more. Why should I make a special trip here?
