If it were possible to rate Chef Joseph’s higher than five stars, I would. My friends and I come her fairly regularly for Sunday brunch– we love the bottomless mimosas. However, we made a reservation to celebrate my and my best friend’s birthday here this past weekend. Aside from making us feel like absolute ROYALTY from the moment we arrived AND asking the live band(which was wonderful) to sing us happy birthday TWICE… The waitstaff(Nathaniel especially) went above and beyond to assure that we were taken care of and never without a mimosa in our hands. The food is always spectacular and the menu rotates throughout the seasons so you’ll never be bored. I plan to sing the praises of Chef J’s to anyone who will listen :)

There were lots of high points on this visit, a very attentive waitress who made sure our all you can drink champagne glasses were always full. Decent food. I wish my bacon had been cooked a little more on my flatbread. Everyone was generally pleased with their brunch choices. The place is clean, parking was easy. Why the two stars? The music was so loud you could not carry on conversations at the table. We were offered to move to a quieter part of the restaurant, but chose not too. Another table mentioned it to us as well. I have been here before for brunch, and it was not this noisy.

Just happened to walk by this wonderful place while visiting Indianapolis. Great atmosphere and wonderful service. Jason really helped us find a few great new wines. Food was amazing and I would strongly suggest the shrimp! The live music made the entire experience.

Such a great atmosphere and awesome service. The cocktail menu is interesting and delicious. The venue is fancy and romantic but without being pretentious and snooty. I had an assortment of apps and small plates which were good and reasonably priced but nothing mind blowing. It’s more about the vibe, great live music, and cocktails together that create a great experience.

You can’t beat unlimited bloody Mary’s and mimosas! This is the only place around that I know of that has it for Sunday brunch and it sure is a deal. The food was also delicious and surprisingly well priced, especially considering the great atmosphere and pianist they had playing during brunch.

Wow! This place is amazing! Super romantic with a wonderful atmosphere. We went with a few friends to enjoy a great dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and live music. The food was delish with excellent flavors. They were accommodating to my diet restrictions, which was amazing.

I’ve been in for breakfast. The bottomless mimosas are great and a prized option in Indianapolis. I had the«hangover bowl» which was a hodgepodge of different breakfast items. Everything was pretty good; not a fan of the duck bacon(which is the only bacon option they have).

Are you a brunch fan? What about a fan of mimosas and Bloody Mary’s? Now, what if I mentioned that they have $ 15 bottomless mimosas or Bloody Mary’s with the purchase of an entrée. Pretty amazing, right? I thought so too. I met a couple friend’s here early Sunday morning. We didn’t make a reservation, but if you plan to come after 11, I’d highly recommend that you do so. The place was packed shortly after we arrived. The Bloody Mary bar was amazing. They have some of their own infused vodkas so you can try a variety of different flavors! I do wish they had more of a variety of cheeses, but I wasn’t disappointed. The drinks were so filling! The food was delish! I’m a vegetarian and no, I don’t eat eggs. The chef made an all veg burrito for me that wasn’t on the menu. It was HUGE and came with some really thick and crisp chips. I couldn’t finish my plate because I was full from the drinks. Priorities, am I right? I do wish they would add some options for vegetarians/vegans. Around 11 or 12 a couple guys started playing guitars and singing. They played anything from The Beatles to Beyonce. It was super entertaining! They weren’t too loud to where you couldn’t hear yourself talk. My friends and I even sang along to a few of the songs. Chef Jospeh’s has a lot to offer that other restaurants that offer brunch don’t. I can’t wait to come back!

We came in for brunch and bottomless mimosas. The location and ambience are all excellent. The food was pretty good but the mimosas were the slowest drinks I’ve ever had. My friend and I waited 25 minutes with empty glasses. This is a little disappointing. I feel like we barely got our money’s worth for«endless champagne»

Great ambience! Beautiful inside and loved the live, if not a lil too loud, music by King Crabb. Lured here by bottomless mimosas, but the drinks were slow to arrive and be refilled. Mimosas were also premade and refilled from pitchers. Ordered the pork belly sandwich for something different. It was pretty tasty, and actually tasted best when you had a little taste of all the ingredients(impossible to pick up and eat) — but worked as a knife & fork eat. The bite I had of my friend’s biscuits & gravy(art of the hangover bowl) has me sold for next time.

Came here with a friend for drinks + apps after work. It was pretty slow so we sat at the bar. The décor reminds me of a mix between an old fashion speak easy meets Frank Sinatra. Small plates were ½ off until 6pm so we ordered mussels, meatballs, and the cheese plate. I wish I would have taken pictures because the presentation was beautiful and tasted equally as good. Mussels were made with saffron and had great flavor. Meatballs were moist + served with some kind of bacon marmalade(BACON thou!). Cheese plate was huge and offered a nice variety. Drinks were AMAZING. Literally two of the best cocktails I’ve had in Indy. Our bartender Jacob was very personable and took the time to inquire about what we wanted and offered suggestions. Started off with a «filthy» vodka martini with blue cheese olives done right. Second cocktail wasn’t actually on the menu. Jacob mixed up a spicy marg(made with mint?) and was sure to check in to see if we liked it. I loved how fresh and unique it was. Can’t wait to try brunch!

I almost want to call this place a hidden gem, although I know it’s not. It’s perfectly easy to find and people to know about it. I’m just mad at myself for not getting here sooner! Maybe reservations with my lady gang to go to bunch here in a Sunday. They serve it 10−2pm and guess what? Bottomless mimosas or bloody Mary’s(with purchase of entrée). I honestly do believe this is ONE of only a few locations that offers this in Indianapolis. I ordered the hangover bowl(and I wasn’t even hungover!). It was deeeelicious. And huge! Could have easily shared with someone if necessary N the gravy was just so scrumptious. One member of our group was a vegetarian and they were very helpful in altering her dish to her needs(the breakfast burrito). On top of the awesome bottomless part of the brunch they also had lovely live music. I can’t wait to return here and try more items on the menu! Bravo, Chef Joe!

Visited over the weekend with friends. We wanted to try somewhere new and on the Devour Downtown list. Enjoyed the atmosphere along with the friendly staff. They had a jazz singer belting out tunes during dinner. Did you know they have brunch on Saturday and Sunday? Me either but adding to my list of things to try. Duck bacon was the item of the night at our table. Duck bacon fries(serving size is huge) and the empanada as well. The sauce on the empanada was perfection. My scallops were cooked perfectly. Hubby opted for something off their normal menu, a shrimp pasta. He enjoyed it. Bottles of wine were reasonably priced and they offer a chef’s reserve selection. Can’t wait to update my review after we try their brunch.

My friend and I decided to have a girls night and found this lil gem. It’s one of those places you’d walk by and not even notice it unless you knew about it. It has a very nice lounge feel, with wonderful live music. The food and drink prices are reasonable, and nice variation of food on the menu. The baked goat cheese app was amazing ! I def wouldn’t mind coming back to try more of their small plates. I had the hamburger for dinner, it wasn’t anything to write home about but the atmosphere made up for all of it. So if you’re looking for a cool unique place to check out and have a nice dinner, this is your place !

One of Indy’s gems! I started coming here a few years ago when a friend started singing here about once a month. I soon became a regular and am still greeted with a hug and a smile by their friendly staff when I’m able to visit. Music: the only place I’m aware of with LIVE music every night(Tuesday-Saturday). It’s singalong style and romantic and chill and nostalgic… depending on the night you visit. Drinks: talk to the staff! Let them recommend something if you don’t know what you want. Personally, I love Sara’s French Martini. The wine wall/locker houses a variety for you to choose from. Food: Chef Joseph knows what he’s doing! I’ve had a lot of excellent dishes, but you’ll have to visit and see what’s on the seasonal menu to try for yourself. Recently, I visited and had the brunch burrito and really liked it. The aioli(maybe roasted red pepper?) is so good paired with their house made chips. John and Tom make everyone feel like a friend. It’s no question that I’ll be back(shout out to anyone attending on Toni T nights). Fun fact: more often than not, the fresh flowers are from their house!

My husband took me here for my birthday last night and we had a great evening. I loved the vibe, and the décor and live singer and pianist made it really romantic. For appetizers we had the crab cakes, sriracha crab Mac n cheese, and the soup special which was a tomato vegetable. The crab cakes were great. I loved the sauce and mango salad it came with. The Mac n cheese was def satisfying but my husband thought it wasn’t spicy enough. The soup was meh. It had a funny curry type taste to it. I had the sword fish and my husband had the chicken breast. We both enjoyed our entrees. The portions are pretty generous. I ate half and asked the waitress to pack the rest for me. She said she would but I never got it back. I didn’t realize until halfway home so that was a bummer. No couscous midnight snack for me :(. Tempted to rate it 3 stars because of that. The Crème brûlée was meh. It was large enough to share but burned on top and not as sweet. We’ve had better. Overall I think this is a great date night restaurant and we will probably be back.

We tried Chef Joseph’s at the Connoisseur Room for the first time today for their Brunch, my first thought while writing this, I CANTWAITTOCOME BACk! Everyone we came into contact with was so kind and helpful and welcoming. Our server was attentive and amazing, offering suggestions and keeping our drinks filled. The owner was kind and came to our table to welcome us and share conversations with us! Even the Chef, Joseph, came to our table and helped our friends with his dietary restrictions! They offer brunch on Sunday with a bottomless mimosa options! I had the Hangover bowl which was amazing, I would highly suggest this restaurant! They also had live music! Cheers, they are doing it right! Can’t wait to come back for dinner!

the ambiance here is very nice, understated elegance. Had their Sunday champagne brunch. There are options for unlimited champagne cocktails and also options for unlimited bloody Marys which is awesome. there was as usual a variety of foods in every price range. it was a bit odd today as the crowd consisted of big burly Colts fans, who were sipping their little mimosas to the tunes of the live harpist… something you do not see every day. Anyways, food quality was great. I enjoyed every bite.

I am always trying to find new an different places for special occasions, for this it was our 3 year wedding anniversary. It was also a special day because Indiana, even if it was only for 72 hours, allowed gay marriage. When looking for Chef Joseph’s don’t blink! It doesn’t jump out at you. If you are standing on Ohio it is to the right of Punch burger. When you walk in the first thing you see is dark wood, wonderful fabric, and a warm smile from the owner. We were a bit on the early side but they were able to seat us very quickly. After a bit of conversation with John, who we found out was the owner, splits of champagne arrived at our table! Another awesome surprise was the fact that on Thursday the special of the day are the martinis — which are awesome! Add to it half price small plates and the night was going in the right direction. The wait staff is very attentive but not intrusive, a fine line some places do not understand. There was live music and a festive evening was had by all. The food is wonderful. We split 2 different appetizers — baked goat cheese and the lamb confit taco’s. The flavors were powerful and blended perfectly. I had the fish special which was served with seasonal veggies. Lane had the shrimp polenta — of course I stole a bite! Everything was amazing. The polenta held it’s structure, the shrimp were great! Of course we had to cram dessert in as well. Crème Brulee, port, and signing! We knew there was always live entertainment but this night was the sing a long night. We watched as the bar became more full, tables had parties gathered around, and everyone enjoyed a great night with wonderful food and even better company! This is a must if you are an Indianapolis resident or just coming into town.
