Intensity unbound is the only way to describe the storefront. Folks be quoting corinthians, telling the world to pray for America and then writing: «No» Food Stamps. I think their quotations mean they’re actually yelling«NO!» rather than meaning the hypothetical quotation use. I didn’t think the first smell I’d catch here was cigarette smoke. Coming from the Winter Farmers Market, I, weirdly, liked this. It was so damn iconoclastic. Seriously, cigarettes at a produce shop? Being smoked? EASTSIDE. Is a place like this really a place of yesteryear? Or, is it just a true anomaly? I didn’t feel like I was walking back into time when I walked in; I felt like I was walking into a whole new world. Not nostalgic, instead, instant intrigue. I read Dallas H’s review of 10¢ /lb bananas. That’s the cheapest in Indy. Then… it was entirely empty when I was there. They told me they would be getting in a shipment in a few days. And, it’d be at the cost of 10 pounds for $ 3. Uh huh. That’s still ridiculously cheap, and a lot of bananas. They did have baskets of about 20 brussel sprouts for $ 1, red peppers for $ 1(which was a bit old) and 8lbs of potatoes for a $ 1, and, 3 pounds? of onions for $ 1. My total was $ 8, and I could eat off that produce for quite. a. while. I thought this place was going to be crazy conservative, but I think they just love America. They had President Obama stickers /gear at the cash register. Go Team!
