Foundry is my go to easy breakfast option in Indy. When you want a nice, warm, filling breakfast without waiting in line, that is also away from the hustle and bustle then this is your spot. I really love the savory press. A nice egg sandwich with a kick that also includes a side of fruit. Local artwork adorns the walls and occasionally they will have live music events. I actually love the savory press so much that I haven’t ever tried the sweet press! I will have to remedy that the next time for sure. Foundry usually has a pretty chill atmosphere that makes it perfect for reading or getting some work done. I also like that they have Nicey Treats available for warmer days. I am so excited that I will be moving within walking distance very shortly!

This is my favorite place to hang out. Sandwiches are amazing(and they have gluten free bread, which is equally as amazing, since I have dietary needs that require it.). I can sit with my chai and write/edit without feeling rushed, and the dirty chai is the bomb. Staff are SUPER friendly and helpful, without being weirdly fake and overly perky like other coffee places.

This place is great except that I’m very used to patronizing places that don’t support local businesses and have assembly line set-ups of sweaty underpaid workers. I think it’s ridiculous to be asked to pay a couple extra dollars to support my local economy! What has my local economy ever done for me? I don’t understand how businesses work or that pricing items requires a mark-up that allows a business to continue operating, so I have a really hard time believing that this business doesn’t have a master plan of actually just stealing all of my expendable income.

I love that I live walking distance of this little treasured corner coffee stop. The workers are always so friendly and fun. I normally just get a latte but a lot people enjoy their food selection. O and the last time I was there I noticed they sell Nicey popsicles! I will definitely have to stop by and grab one the next time. :)

Nice hipster vibe. Service decent. Be prepared to have your food prepared slowly. They gave my sandwich to someone else(they don’t ask for your name when they take orders). Wasted 20 min of my day. They apologized with a smile. I don’t plan on coming back for lunch. Sandwich was good.

Limited lunch menu but very good sandwiches. I had a Montgomery. Enjoyed the Smoking Goose bacon, kimchi, cheddar with tamari mayo served on crunchy bread. Perfect blend of spicy and salty. Very casual setting. Mostly a coffee shop. Well worth a lunch visit.

If I were a hipster, this is where I would live. Single origin coffee, Nicey Treats in the cooler, knowledgeable baristas, mind-blowing sandwiches. Yes, yes yes. There isn’t much parking, but if you walk there as my sister and I did after yoga on a beautiful sunny spring day, this will not be a problem. Foundry Provisions does local right — probably you should go there right now, and bring me some coffee.

Decided it would be a great idea to walk with my puppy to the Foundry for breakfast on a Saturday morning — and boy every other person on the north side thought so too! It was very busy on the inside but the barista rang everyone up fairly quickly. I got the Savory Breakfast Sandwich and a Skim Milk hazelnut latte. The breakfast sandwich was amazing along with the fresh fruit, but my latte was less than impressive. It seemed as if the espresso had been pulled for too long because the bitter flavor was off the charts and the milk was barely frothed. I recommend if you’re looking for a quality breakfast, but skip the latte and get a regular coffee.

This is the second time I’ve been here. The first time was when they first opened. Today I went to pick up a few coffees for some people I was meeting. I knew it was expensive, and expected my bill to be about $ 10 for 4 coffees, which is outrageous. Nope, each large coffee was $ 3, for a total of $ 11.99. Really? I could have just made coffee at home. I don’t care if it’s ‘local’ coffee. If it’s local it should be cheaper in my opinion. I’ve gone there twice and both times got ripped off. I will not return. Also, the person I was with said the coffee wasn’t very good. I had to apologize to him for paying so much money for the coffee because I felt embarrassed at how pricey it was and how good it was not. Also, the service sucked. There were about 20 – 25 people there and only one cashier. Also, $ 6 – 7 for a breakfast sandwich? Screw off. You could go to an actual restaurant for that and get it for cheaper instead of resorting to a hoity toity fast food coffee shop.

My wife and I came in once soon after moving into Herron Morton. We had a cup of coffee each. It was okay and warm inside on a cold day outside. It does get busy when the high school nearby ends their day.

I had not really explored this little side of Indy before coming to Foundry Provisions. Walking up to Foundry Provisions I became excited. I knew it would be a good place by the amount of people that were sitting inside. I was lucky to find a seat and not because there weren’t a lot of seating options. There is also a fun outdoor setting next to an Instagram worthy wall. The coffee was a thumbs up for me. Refills are available in house. They have a good variety of roasts. I also decided to get a breakfast sandwich and went with the savory option(egg, bacon, cheese, siracha). I was worried that it would be a smaller sandwich and that it wouldn’t be worth the price. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a very fresh fruit cup and that the sandwich wasn’t a mere biscuit. Try this place out for a breakfast bite and a coffee. I am excited to return again.

This is my first time here! I order Chia Tea Latte. It tasted good! I give it 3 stars only because of the noise coming from the refrigerator. It is so loud and annoying! Seats are comfy!

This place is a jewel. It is off the corner of 16th& Alabama. Don’t go by too quickly or you’ll miss it. This is an awesome neighborhood, locally owned coffee house. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. From small business mtgs to moms with kids, the customers are diverse and it feels comfortable here! The staff member wassuper helpful and kind in helping me pick just the right drink for my naïve palate(I tend to get the same thing over and over). There is free WiFi and patio seating with a free little library collection of books for the weather warms up. Don’t miss out on this awesome place!

This is my place. I love the… –vibe –music –sunlight streaming through the windows –toasted sandwiches –smoothies –patio –free book«library» on the patio –booths –art hanging on the walls Only possible negative– if you’re studying/working and need an electrical outlet, you’ll have to wait for a booth to open up in order to access one. Parking tip– Park on Alabama Street by the homes under construction(just north of 16th street).

As I sat there enjoying my chai tea latte, bopping my head to the great music selection, I wonder how I’ve never heard of this place! I love local coffee shops and this one doesn’t disappoint. They have some booths, tables, and a back bar with seating. Plenty of outlets as well. I sat in the back booth by the restrooms. I wouldn’t suggest sitting there without headphones because you can hear a lot of noise from the restrooms. I usually always have my headphones on, but since the music selection was so good I decided hearing the hand dryer go off wasn’t too terrible. The chai tea was good. I’ll have to come back and try some food. The menu looked delicious and there were options for vegetarians and vegans. Overall, a nice place for a meeting or some study time.

I really enjoy Foundry and the fact that they are within walking distance to my place. This is the perfect spot to grab a bagel and coffee in the morning(I recommend the everything bagel with spinach and artichoke cream cheese) or even a light sandwich at lunch(their vegetarian options are great!). The inside feels like a classic artsy coffee house and is perfect for sitting around and reading a book while enjoying great cup. The patio is amazing and definitely worth sitting at if it is warm outside.

Two years later, and I still love this place! This time I stopped in on a lazy Sunday to enjoy coffee and some of their breakfast goodies. Love, love, love! The atmosphere and people watching in this place just can’t be beat. I cuddled up in one of their leather arm chairs and just watched the people come in and out. Very fascinating. Their bottomless mugs of coffee are also great. Added plus — they have decaf so you can seriously just drink coffee all day once you’ve gotten your fill of caffeine! I also ordered their sweet breakfast press which consisted of bread topped with powdered sugar, nutella, and banana. Um. yum. It was just the right size and sweet enough. I loved it! This place is the epitome of a neighborhood coffee shop, and I love it! Just wish I lived closer so I could take advantage of it more often.

Foundry Provisions is a great local coffee and panini shop. We probably go there at least once a month for lunch even though we no longer live in the area. The Foundry serves up a lot of local fare as well, including Nicey Treats, Smoking Goose meats, and Broad Ripple Chip Company. One of my favorite things is that they offer a lot of flexibility with orders. As is typical for small local businesses, they will do whatever they need to make sure the customer always comes first. I first hand witnessed an older man come in with his wife for lunch one day. He didn’t know what a lot of the sandwich offerings were, so asked for descriptions of everything on the menu. The staff was wonderful, took their time, and let him order whatever he wanted on his sandwich. I usually get their soup and sandwich combo. They serve 2 different soups(one is normally vegan) every time. They have several unique options for vegetarians as well. The only downside is that it can be difficult to find seating at time and there is street parking only. The issue with seating is that outlets are on the booths, so many single individuals sit at the booths to do their work, leaving only a few tables and the back ‘bar’ with stools open. However, in the summer they have a wonderful porch that assists with the small dining area. Their coffee is always fresh and strong! No overly sweetened espresso drinks here. They have a mocha that they make with less milk that is to die for.

Okay, Indy, we are about to have a problem. You have so many great coffeeshops. How is one to choose? A good start would be Foundry Provisions. Give me a good chai tea for an even better price and I’m a happy camper. Add a bagel with homemade cream cheese — the sriacha was good stuff — and you have a great start to your day. I loved being able to sit outside. The inside wasn’t too appealing to me so if I stopped in during the winter, I probably wouldn’t stay. One complaint, parking could potentially be an issue. No lot so have to depend on finding street parking. Great place. Will definitely be back.

My friend and I stopped in for lunch after the Indy 500 Parade. We worked up an appetite after walking all over the city. So glad this place was open. (The) Morton: Mortadella, artichoke heart, spinach, provolone, Sriracha mayo You can’t go wrong with that. It’s one fine panini! Paired with great local coffee(Tinker Coffee Co.), it was a satisfying meal. Process: Order at the counter, pay on an iPad(be prepared to tip or not), fill your coffee, find your seat, pick up your food when it’s ready, eat, clean up after yourself(there are bins for your dirty dishes). It’s a good place to study. There’s good lighting and the booths have adequate plug-ins.
