Just ate at the new location on Washington Street in Indy. Used to be a CiCi’s Pizza. What a disappointment! They had 2 pizzas out and very bland breadsticks. We had to ask for a veggie pizza because my lunch companion is a vegetarian. The veggie pizza ended up having mushrooms and green onions on it and that was it as far as the veggie part goes. They have taken the majority of the space that was CiCi’s buffet and put a wall in with a humongous tv. The décor is nice, and I guess if you go there to watch tv, it will be great, but personally, I go for the pizza, and I find the choices to be extremely lacking for the price. Bring back CiCi’s!!!

The girl at the counter answering phones is rude. I witnessed her slamming the phone down multiple times after taking orders, without so much as a «thank you» or «goodbye». Decent food, but mine was cold by the time I paid for it. The red head guy behind the counter was nice enough. You could tell they were all stressed because it was busy. But it was Saturday, what do you expect?! Hire some nicer staff or work on a change of attitude!

This is our ‘local’ so I may be a bit biased. Gramboli’s is a family owned and run place that’s grown over the years into its current location. Pizzas are good with plentiful toppings. Lasagne is home made. Love the breadsticks and Garlic Toast Supreme. They serve beer and wine. On weekdays they have a set-price lunch buffet for a fast meal that seams to be quite popular with people working in the area. The only downside(for me, but good for them) is that they’re a popular spot for youth sports banquets so you often find a gaggle of kids in the party room.

Absolutely Horrible. Waited two hours for a pizza that never showed up. When we spoked to management we were yelled at and told we were«slow». Horrible place.

One of my favorite locally owned pizza spots in town! You can never go wrong here. The food is always good and always fresh! There’s something about the saucier that I think makes the pizza really good

Gramboli’s is one of the best places for deep dish pizza in the city. And the breadsticks are unbelievably good! The servers are always friendly, personable, and attentive. Prices are very reasonable. If you’re in the mood for Chicago deep dish and don’t want to wait 4 hours at the new, hipster franchise joint that’s opened on the northside – try Gramboli’s!

Terrible service order by phone for pick up told 20 minutes been sitting here 30 minutes past that others have came and recieved their order. Feeling rather invisible with the cashier lookong at me all for 4 sandwiches. Guess the good reviews were just hype. Rated zero stars. Hope I get my order before thanksgiving. Turns out my order was sitting in the case front and center the entire time. Managers response confrontational what do you want me to do. Here’s an idea maybe not treat me like garbage after I give you 35 dollars for 4 sandwiches. In the interest of full disclosure turns out the food is Really good such a shame the service at the counter and the managers lack of ability to convey the individual has any value.

Have been eating here since opening, several decades ago. Food quality has remained consistent and quantity for cost is good. The business is family owned, and extends from the making to the serving, and it has always been a pleasure. If you are looking for ‘new age’ cooking, don’t come here! It is solid pizza selections, awesome breadsticks and some separate sides like sandwiches and salads. Great place to meet and take family. Go, you won’t regret.

I’ll admit that sometimes when I head out to a restaurant that I’m as much in need of good service as I am a good meal. As a single guy with a disability who lives alone, sometimes a little bit of kindness can go a long way with me. So, after a long day at work and an afternoon of not feeling particularly well I decided to treat myself to a relaxing dinner. I really wasn’t in the mood to travel far, so I decided to head up Pendleton Pike and see if there was anything I hadn’t yet tried. While I seem to recall trying Gramboli’s at some point, I know for sure it wasn’t this location. Gramboli’s is a family owned pizza place that has been around Central Indiana since 1987 and serves up pizza and pasta in a warm, comfortable environment. This particular location, one of two in Central Indiana, is located in Oaklandon on Pendleton Pike in a strip mall that houses a few other businesses. This is an older strip center and, as such, it’s not as wheelchair accessible as most these days. They do have curb cuts but they’re in the middle of the building. It’s not a major inconvenience, but worth noting. You go in and you’re immediately at the counter where you can pick up your order and you pay for your order when leaving. To your right is the dining area, which appeared to be two decent sized rooms with wooden tables and booths. I arrived immediately after a soon to be party of seven was arriving and they’d already announced a person in their party as being in a wheelchair. So, the servers erroneously assumed when I pulled up that I was with the party(It didn’t help that I’m naturally friendly and was talking to them). After a short period of time, they figured it out and I was escorted to a comfortable table, the chair was removed and my server took my drink order. By the time she came back, I’d decided to opt out of pizza tonight and go for spaghetti & meatballs. I ordered a side order of garlic toast. Our lines of communication got a bit crossed and after a few minutes my order came out as garlic toast w/cheese. She could tell right away that something was wrong, a good sign that meant she was paying attention, and I rather quietly acknowledged that I thought I’d ordered the garlic toast. She acknowledged being a bit confused as my spaghetti & meatballs came with garlic toast, something I didn’t realize, so she thought I wanted something extra. She was very quick and friendly about resolving it, hopefully realizing that I abhor complaining as I think some people make a profession out of it and it drives me nuts. The smile never left her face as she said more than once«Don’t worry about it. Don’t take it if you didn’t order it.» So, after a few minutes my meal came out — spaghetti with meatballs and garlic toast(two slices). The food was incredibly good. While I don’t think I could ever call it a 5-star meal, it was definitely above average and the service was top notch. The spaghetti was really good and not too heavy with a couple of meatballs and meat sauce. The garlic toast wasn’t bathing in garlic, but it was solid, tasty garlic toast. It was definitely a winning meal for just over $ 10.00 before tip. The server was simply stellar. She was friendly, kind, and seemed comfortable with disability. She checked on me more than once, but not in an intrusive way. She offered a refill, initially declined, then offered again at meal’s end and gave it to me to go. Her personality and the personality of all the staff I met there seemed to fit the family theme of Gramboli’s and the comfortable atmosphere. In short, this visit was exactly what I needed. I needed a good meal at a reasonable price, but more importantly I needed a friendly server who seemed to actually care. I’ll definitely be back.

This review is based on a single lunch visit… which will not translate into any future visits of any kind. That was an unimpressive buffet. Cold, greasy pizza, soaked breadsticks(no cheese sauce), and pasta that looked like it was warmed up from last month. My stomach handled about 3 bites. This made Pizza Hut look like Giordano’s. At least my Coke wasn’t flat.

One of the better pizza places in town. Why it’s not better known, I’ll never know! The prices are decent, the toppings are plentiful and tasty. I’ll say that the crust, for me, is what knocks it down from 5 star to 4 star. It’s good crust, mind you, just not GREAT crust. The service has always been very good when we’ve been there… even with a large group. If we’re on the East side, it’s our go to place for pizza.

It was hot and we needed a pizza while shopping for hot tubs at Family Leisure(formerly Watson’s) and stumbled upon this place by chance. This location is clean, we’ve had no problems with service, and reasonably priced. I’ve tried the hand tossed and deep dish pizzas, both were good. They use two different types of sausage, the one typically used in their deep dish was my favorite. The breadsticks were simple and tasty, think a stick similar to what you might find at Noble Romans. No Mountain Dew here, so you’ll have to settle for coke. No complaints, nice family friendly pizzeria. PS: I apologize for the lame Watson’s reference at the beginning of this review.

Been going here for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Great food, high quality ingredients, pleasant staff, overall the best pizza place on the East side of town.

This place reminds me of the types of pizzerias I would go to as a child. You get a lot of food for the money but the pizza isn’t anything special. Good place to go if you are wanting to feed several people on a limited budget.

A group of my friends and I went there last weekend for my birthday. I had made reservations for 10 – 12 of us. We ended up being at 11. When a couple of my friends got there first, they directed them over to the«party» room which already had a kid’s party going on. Fortunately my friends got them to sit us in the main restaurant and the put a few tables together for us, that was much better. The waitress we had was awesome. I really wish I had caught her name. With so many of us, 7 of us splitting 3 pizzas and the other 6 on individual tickets, she handed it easily and without any fuss. And besides the kids party and ours, it was very busy that night and it never felt like they were rushing us or overwhelmed. I’ve only gotten the steak and cheese sub there before, so I was glad to try the pizza. We had a deep dish meats pizza, which was great; a thin crust pepperoni pizza, very good; and a pan style bbq chicken pizza, that was my favorite. It was very flavorful and the bbq sauce wasn’t too much and slightly on the sweet side, which I prefer. I’m so glad we decided to split the pizzas so I could try different ones.

This family run pizza joint reminds me of my childhood — you know, back in the 90’s when your mom and dad would take the whole family out for pizza on a Friday night as a special treat. They have arcade games, little machines that dispense candy for a quarter, big screen televisions and the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Oh, and they serve beer and wine ;) We ordered: 1) a hand tossed canadian bacon, pineapple and jalapeño pizza — yes, salty, sweet and spicy(my fav combination!). 2) a deep dish Gramboli’s Special… pepperoni, sausage, green pepper and onions, yum :) and the all important 3) bread sticks with cheese sauce. All who know me, know that cheese sauce features high on my list of desirable foods. I can’t pass it up on any menu offering. Pizza is an American favorite — it’s hard to get it wrong. But Gramboli’s pizza isn’t just your typical pizza, their crust is freakin’ fabulous. I’m not sure what they do to make it so dang good… the deep dish is well, deep. But also hearty, moist(without being doughy) and delicious. Deep dish is my husbands favorite… The hand tossed is super light(i.e. airy), flavorful and my favorite. The best part is their pizza sauce though… I’m not sure what they add to it, cinnamon? Who knows… but it beats the socks off the competition. We’ve tried to replicate it at home, but to no avail. All in all, get to Gramboli’s and try their pizza. Whether you are a hand-tossed or deep dish type, you’ll love it. And don’t forget the breadsticks. They rock. Tip: Snag a coupon from their website before you go, and get the bread sticks for free.
