Had a good time here — paintball when you aren’t a diehard paintball person kind of is what you make it. One critique: having teenagers run and officiate the games that are being played by adults was weird. I felt like there wasn’t much regimented officiating and more just standing around. Lots of rule breaking and shenanigans. But hey, shot my friends so it’s cool.

You’re gonna have a good time playing paintball so if you live really close to indy acres or have a super cheap groupon or something go ahead and give it a shot. However, if those conditions aren’t true of your current situation I would recommend you paintball anywhere else for the following reasons. Of the places I’ve been indy acres has the most expensive ammo which is extra annoying because they use a smaller caliber ball than everyone else so less material goes into it. I put together a group of 15 people so I called a couple weeks ahead to see if I could reserve some time to make sure we got a chance to play. The lady on the phone told me that a reservation wasn’t necessary because they have an open field sort of set up during the time I was interested in. We got there on the day in question and I was told they were full and that the open time had been reserved. She did end up getting us in, but what the hell?

Came here for my hubby’s bday gift along with 6 other couples and we had a blast! The staff was friendly, funny, and helpful. Loved the different games they had us play. We all layered up in clothes and a few of us wore some of my hubby’s work coveralls. I don’t regret looking like an umpa lumpa not one bit, because when you get hit it definitely hurts and the layers helped. Coveralls/jumpsuits are a great idea because after we were done it was as easy as taking off the coveralls and our clothes was saved. They have coveralls for rent for $ 10 at the entrance as well. This was awesome because we went to a brewery right after playing. We definitely worked up an appetite playing. The masks were a bit annoying because they kept fogging up. The guns were easy to use and we had an abundance of paintballs. Definitely recommended and the bigger your group the better. We played against other parties there and we also played against each other.

Bought a Groupon coupon. Glad I did. Otherwise, price-wise, this would have been a terrible deal. Deal came with 155 paint balls, which is really nothing when paint-balling. Son, and his four friends had fun but used-up their 155 paint balls very quickly. Purchasing more paintballs was ridiculously high at approx. $ 11.00÷100 or $ 19.60÷240. Person can buy high quality paintballs locally via mail for $ 2.49÷100, $ 12.99÷500, $ 23.00÷1000. These guys charge almost four times the going rate at other facilities we’ve played, or can buy locally. Very disappointed in that aspect.

Bought a groupon for six people and took some family members here to play on a Saturday afternoon. We made a reservation a few weeks in advance. Indy Acres is easy to get to — just off of 465. They have plenty of space for parking and signs directing you where to go to check in. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We got our gear, some extra paint, and headed out. Each team is assigned a referee. This person sets up your games and makes sure you follow all the rules. They are very strict and if you don’t adhere to the safety policies, you will be asked to leave. There are several different fields to play on and different games you can play(death match, capture the flag, etc). The only downside is that it’s noisy being so close to the interstate. Overall we had a great time. The entire family(from my pre-teen nephews to my brother in his 40’s) enjoyed it. This place was an hour drive for us, but worth it for the groupon. Pro-tip: pack a small cooler with drinks and bring towels to sit on for the ride home!

Redeeming a Christmas Living Social deal for 6, the teens had a blast experiencing this adventure for the first time. It came w/a gun, mask, a few rounds &O2 to blast the ammo into their opponents. I opted to ‘upgrade’ to 260 rounds for an additional $ 20 pp, well worth the extra play time. The 70 degree perfect weather day made it all the more fun for everyone! There are knowledgable staff members available along the way to train & guide you through its many obstacle courses(several wooded & trailer park courses). Non-players can watch through the netting on bleachers, picnic tables. Advice: Wear old clothes and a hoodie/jacket for ‘armour’ to avoid getting welts all over. Bring snacks, drinks. There are picnic tables for your use. Don’t forget an old blanket for your car seats unless you want paint on them.
