The quality of IUPUI Music Academy has gone down since the current director came in 2008. My last music teacher was just OK. The price is average, comparable to Butler. Many of the high caliber and experienced teachers were eliminated in order to cut the costs. The Academy now employs average teachers with average quality. This place is only good for introduction or beginning music lesson. The current director only cares about getting new students to meet with her annual budget. A new director is crucial for the Academy to continue its original mission, which is to provide high quality music education for the community. Don’t waste your money here.
