There are two types of people in the world. There are those who would never do karaōke, well, maybe after lots of drinks, and those who will belt at any given opportunity. I happen to be a card-carrying member of the second group. I can drink and sing, but I never need liquid courage– just a good song. If you feel like skipping the bar scene, but wanna get your Aretha or Sting on, this is the place for you. No drinking, so it’s kid-friendly(and it’s so cute, they get their own mikes!) and they don’t serve food, but outside food is okay. They even have a list of places that will deliver to them, plus vending machines if you just want munchies. What I love about it, is the absolute random assortment of humanity that we’ve met there. Indianapolis, ya’ll can sing! If you’re hardcore enough to have your own karaōke cds(cough) then you can bring them, and Roy(the owner) will save your choices in a baggie so you can always have your favorites on hand. There’s a stage with different props, and lots of seats. Be prepared to be surprised at some people’s voices, and have your cover– 5 dollars for singers, and 1 dollar for non-singers. Also available for parties!(I don’t work here, I just love to sing karaōke!)
