After reading such good reviews of this place, I was really disappointed it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The pizza was okay, but the service was nothing to rave about. We weren’t even greeted when we walked in the door. The inside was fairly well-kept, though. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but next time I will opt for a place in which the employees are at least smiling.

This place is actually called J Nabors, though the sign in front does say Luca Pizza. It is in a non-descript strip mall on an industrial street and I really wasn’t expecting much, but this is one of the best vegan pizzas I have had anywhere. That includes vegan hotspots like San Francisco, Seattle, New York. If you are passing through Indianapolis and you are a vegan who likes pizza, you would be making a huge mistake to miss this place. The food was awesome and the owner was incredibly nice.

The greatest vegan pizza I’ve ever had supported by an incredibly friendly staff and great service. Will definitely be making frequent visits in the future. They have a fairly good sized vegan menu along with plenty of non vegan options. Great food for anyone

Was in Indy for work back in July. The pizza here is really the best you will find in the area. Lunch buffet is good. I’m a vegetarian so naturally selection can be limited. 2 days in a row with 2 different employees, they made a fresh vegetarian friendly pizza. Both pizzas were very good, and with the plain pizza, salad and pasta in the buffet, lunch was great. The people working here were very friendly in a genuine way. Not fake McYouknowwho friendly. I am a harsh critic when it comes to pizza and this pizza was very good, not Sao Paulo good, but enough that Lucas is on my stop list next time im in IN for work.

I was in Indianapolis for work this past week and after a long day of reviewing files and interviews, I headed to my hotel exhausted and crashed. When I woke up I was starving and craving pizza. Of course, I turned to my trusty friend Unilocal for some recommendations about places that delivered to my hotel and the only options that I got were chain options. Yuck! The only benefit of work travel is to be able to experience local cuisine and restaurants, but I was desperately in need of a pizza fix. So at 9 pm at night, I ventured into the cold dark streets of Indianapolis in hopeful search of pizza. About a mile from my hotel I saw a lit sign out of the corner of my eye proclaiming«Luca Pizza» So I pulled into the small strip mall, no there were no strippers there, and entered into what I can only describe as my momentary heaven. There were not many people in the restaurant and it looked like they were pretty much done for the night but the manager, maybe owner, asked how they could help and I expressed my great desire for a pizza. She told me all my options and I decided on their 14″ pizza one-topping special. On a quick side note, I am not normally a fan of one topping pizza. It seems such a waste because part of the enjoyment is tasting the combination of all the extra flavors mixing with the tomato sauce and cheese. So at the very least I always want two toppings and generally those toppings are sausage and mushroom when I am not feeling overly particular, like this night. Well, fortune must have been smiling down on my because the manager/owner reminded me that the special was for one topping but that she was feeling generous and said if I wanted others she would add them for no additional charge. Their topping choices were pretty typical of most places and I was not feeling overly adventurous, so I chose sausage and mushroom. She told me it would take about 10 minutes to prepare and that I could have a seat. As I looked up, I saw her tossing the dough for my pizza. In a few moments she asked if I liked lots of mushrooms or less mushrooms on my pizza. It was nice getting a customized pie. About 15 minutes later she came out with an 18 inch pizza box explaining that she made the pizza a bit too big to fit in the 14″ box. So instead, she put the pizza and the bread sticks that came with the special all into the 18″ box. I paid, the total was under $ 20, and headed back to the hotel with a pipping hot pizza. When I got into the room I had to corral my three travelling penguins into the bathroom before I could open the pizza. Just a side note, I don’t know about other people’s travelling penguins but mine are really greedy bastards and will take all the food before I can even take a bite. So don’t judge me for putting them in the bathroom, they like swimming in the tub while I eat and it is the only way I can have dinner in peace but I digress. So the pizza was good. It was quite cheesy and the sauce was very tasty. However, I was only able to eat about 3 slices before I began to feel full. So know that the pizza special can easily feed about 3 people. It was a good way to end a very long and tiring day and to get a taste of the locality.

Luca Pizza is Luca Pizza– Big and greasy. The guy that worked here was by himself and totally swamped. I can’t believe how nice he was– completely genuine. Even though he was really busy, he managed to get my slice and breadsticks pretty quickly for me. I think he could tell I was in a hurry. Thanks, dude!
