I contracted with this shop to have the waist and seat let out of an expensive pair of wool trousers. When I picked them up, the waistband at the seam was scorched. She claimed it was a pre-​existing condition.
If that were the case, why didn’t she call me and alert me, rather than take the chance I’d notice and blame her work? I have a pretty good idea that she was in a hurry and forgot to use a pressing cloth and burned the material then tried to shift the blame to me. I sold and fitted high end men’s clothing for many years and know the trade. Needless to say I am looking for another tailor shop.
