Yikes!!! That’s the one word that I can use to describe this store. I only stop in this grocery when I’m desperate(aka just grabbing one item, or have a few things to pick up that the amazing Aldi’s across the street doesn’t stock). This place is just gross. Its produce never seems fresh, and I feel like it just needs a good olé deep cleaning. Also, last time I was there, a manager fired one of his employees right in front of customers in the checkout lane. That did not go over well. I’ve decided that even if I only need one item, I’ll drive the extra mile to the Kroger. The Meijer on Keystone can not open soon enough!

This store started as a Marsh, became Low Bill’s, now it’s back to Marsh. No matter what you call it, my neighbors & I avoid it. We not-so-lovingly refer to it as the ‘ghetto’ Marsh. I’m surprised it hasn’t been closed. Not much selection wise, interior needs updating, & usually you’ll find a security guard on duty. If you’re lucky, you won’t get hit up for money or cigarettes on your way in & out. At least the parking lot has been recently asphalted; before, it was disgusting & trashy. There’s plenty of other, nicer places nearby to shop.

This location is pretty standard, but my biggest complaint is that their produce selection is always wilting, rotting or a hot minute from its expiration date. This is a great place to go to pick up something you forgot, but I wouldn’t do my weekly shopping here.

Did you ever go to a supermarket in the 1970s? If so, then this Marsh should feel very familiar to you. If not, go here and see what you missed out on, you darn whippersnapper! I really enjoy this Marsh. It’s not a great grocery — it’s a virtual guarantee that ¼ of my grocery list will go unfulfilled whenever I go here. Which should be the supermarket kiss of death, yet there is something about this Marsh(mostly friendly staff, nice customers, plenty of heavily processed food that isn’t ashamed to admit it) that keeps me coming back for more.
