Menchies

Menchies is a cute and clean little froyo shop. The cashier is stationed at the island in the center and you go around the island as you get your froyo and toppings. There are sample cups set out so you don’t need to ask for them like many of the other froyo places in Indy.
Unfortunately, all the flavors were lacking. Because they were doing maintenance, I only had 6 flavors to choose from:
Harvest Pumpkin
Black Cherry Vanilla
Taste The Cake Batter
Peachy Keen
Vanilla Snow
Dole Pineapple Sorbet
I like to get a little bit of multiple flavors so I decided to get all the available flavors during my visit.
I normally don’t like pumpkin flavored things so it was pretty apparent to me that the harvest pumpkin didn’t taste very much like pumpkin.
The vanilla snow just tasted like cream with no vanilla flavor at all.
There were a good amount of toppings. I also liked the color changing spoons. However, I will not be revisiting this place anytime soon.

I guess you better call ahead to see if they’re open. Door and online says open until 9:30pm, but they were closed when we arrived at 5:45pm. No sign for explanation. They obviously have little concern for their customers.

I really like Menchies. I’ve been a big froyo fan for quite some time now, and as a result have been to many of the usual chains (Red Mango, Orange Leaf, etc.).
Personally, I like Menchies’ yogurt best of all. The combination of delicious flavors, texture, and ingredients put their yogurt at the top of my list. The only downside in my eyes is their low selection of fruit toppings (which I enjoy over the candies — of these they have plenty). I’m not sure if that’s consistent throughout all of the locations though, as I’ve only been to this one. All in all, this place provides a pretty great froyo experience!

I like this place. The owners and employees are nice and the yogurt/​toppings are top notch.

I’m sad to say that my friends, family and I will no longer be frequenting this establishment anymore. We became regulars of a sort and fell in love with the employees and owner of the store. We even went in the winter time to show our support…
But on numerous of occasions the owner’s wife Has. Just made it very unpleasant.
Nervous, rude and unfriendly, she always has a very weird attitude. Always acting short towards other customers and just makes our visits not pleasant.

Plain tart is my favorite. I come in and fill my cup to the brim with nothing but! No other flavors and NO TOPPINGS. Simple as that and I am happy with it every time!

It’s ok but not as good as Orange Leaf and Huddles (my fave). There is a weird artificial sweetener taste to all of their flavors. Pass…

I consider this neighborhood to be Glendale more than Broad Ripple. Anyhoo, stumbled upon Menchie’s after shopping next door at Macy’s. It was a pleasant surprise. Since this was our first time, the staff was great in explaining how the DIY process worked. The selection of fro yo and toppings were a nice variety. The shop was bright and clean. Nice treat after shopping.

Some of the best in the area. Friendly staff, and you can’t beat free froyo at the grand opening.
My wife and I have stopped in several times since the grand opening. Munchies has become our go to place for local froyo. The staff is always extremely nice and helpful. They will even let you sample individual toppings, because they have some unique offerings.
