MH Pomander’s Bridal

Don’t come here unless you want to feel like you are not worth their time! The woman who does the seamstress work is wonderful and very helpful, but the woman on the floor that is there to help you pick out the dresses couldn’t be more rude. The day my best friend went to try on dresses, she almost made us feel like we weren’t meant to be there and we were wasting her time coming in with a $ 1500 budget. And after my friend bought her dress there and went in to do fittings for alterations the same woman barely even smiled at us, let alone make us feel welcome. This store is almost in the hood, so she needs to check herself before she wrecks herself.
Don’t waste your time or money.

The true bridal experience! I found my dream wedding dress here and it was well under my budget. The two owners are wonderful, very professional, friendly, and helpful. My sisters picked out a dress that was $ 50 over my budget and they let me know before I tried it on because they are very good about only pulling dresses that are within your budget. I’m so happy to give my business to MH Pomanders and I highly recommend them! They even gave me hugs and tissues when I decided on my dress :)

Came here with my best friend to help her go wedding dress shopping and this place was wonderful! It’s run by two ladies who each had careers but decided to open a shop together and they’ve been having a wonderful time bringing smiles and happiness to brides all over Indiana :)
There’s a short intake form they asked the bride to fill out at the beginning just so they can better understand what kind of wedding dress the bride is looking for. It’s a very personalized experience where both ladies helped out my friend. My very favorite part of the whole experience is that once they started to get to know the bride and her wants, they worked so fluidly together and were calling each of the dressed they had in their stores by their own unique names. This tells me that they really have a great relationship and also that they truly love each and every one of their unique dresses. While the selection in the store is not huge, they are all very unique and gorgeous! I’ve been to many bridal stores with my best friend and this experience was the best and it was made that way because of the owners! They were down to earth, very honest and we all had such a great time!

Amazing bridal salon. When I tried on dresses before I did not have a special experience, but here I was able to find the dress of my dreams. I had a budget of $ 1500 and was able to find a beautiful gown within my price range. Great selection of unique dresses you can’t find other places. Very nice staff. Have continued to make the experience wonderful by sending emails and letters after the dress purchase. Would highly recommend! Make an appointment for the best experience.

Just popped in to check it out … if you haven’t been you should go. The boutique is charming. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The dresses and jewelry and veils… (Oh My!) are lovely. And who doesn’t like a little cupcake while you peruse.

My advice is to avoid this shop unless you enjoy the snootiness that pervades it. I have never experienced a bridal salon where the people were so obviously rude and condescending. My daughter had driven 3 hours for her appointment here as I had read they had a nice selection. She had advised them at that time that she was at the low end of their price point (dresses start at $ 1000) and that didn’t seem to be a problem. The appointment was made and we eagerly looked forward to it. We arrived a few minutes early for the appointment. There was one other group present. They were drinking mimosas and the staff was falling all over them. It seemed the staff was too busy to be bothered much by a young woman who was at the lower end of their range. My daughter was instructed to complete a form and then told they didn’t carry dresses in that range. The woman who had greeted us was incredibly rude. She didn’t offer to show her any other options, even above her price range, or tried to sell her bridesmaids dresses. I asked if they had anything in the style she was seeking and the other owner showed us 3 dresses on the rack, none of which were appealing to my daughter. We left feeling that we «weren’t good enough» to be in their store. I will definitely not recommend this store to anyone nor will I add it to my list of vendors for my other childrens’ weddings. What a disappointment. The dollar signs were all over these owners, forget any interest in being helpful. There are many better options in Indianapolis!

After having a great experience at Nancy’s Bridal, I can’t believe how absolutely horrible the owners treated me at MH Pomanders. I found three dresses by one specific designer that is only carried at this store in Indianapolis. They only had one of the three dresses in stock, which was fine. But I feel like once they found out my budget was $ 2000, their service was lowered.
One woman told me I should go to David’s Bridal because of the options they have there, which almost seemed like an insult the way she said it. When I went to try on the dresses she simply handed them to me to put on myself. The girl at Nancy’s held the dress and onto me as I stepped into them. As I was taking off the third dress, the other woman flung open the curtain as I was standing there half-​naked to grab the other two dresses to hang back up in the showroom. She couldn’t wait another two minutes before I got dressed and left the fitting room, especially since I was the only customer there? I felt completely disrespected by both of these women, basically as soon as I walked through their door.
Luckily I have amazing friends that will never step foot in their store because of the way I was treated. Good luck staying in business with that kind of disrespect.

I came to MH Pomander’s after a horrible experience at Nancy’s bridal. I was nervous because I really needed to find a dress so I could order it in time for my wedding. I loved the individual attention and how they only have a couple brides in the store at a time. They do have a smaller dress selection, but all were beautiful and quality dresses. I bought the perfect dress here and would recommend this bridal salon to anyone looking for a great overall experience dress shopping.
