Great place for street style tacos. We loved the carnitas and chicken tacos. The pork was tender and very flavorful. The hot sauce is amazing and homemade. The meat counter includes a wide variety of cuts, the grocery store is well stocked and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I look forward to continuing to support this local business.

The is a Hispanic grocery and eatery. So the whole place is not very big or fancy, but both sides of the place have a lot to offer. Everyone in there was very friendly and helpful. I tried the Asada torta that came with some chips and pico de gallo. When they brought out the sandwich I couldn’t believe it was as big as it was for the price. And then I smelled the wonderful combination of things that went into making my sandwich which was almost as good as the taste as I took my first bite. The menu has a lot of variety and some seafood options. I know that there are a variety of drink options too. I know I’ll be going back here again soon.

I have only gotten takeout(the seating area isn’t anything more than a few tables in the corner of what is a small Mexican grocery) from the restaurant here, but the food is very good. Tacos are about $ 3 each and they are street-style(corn tortillas, onion, cilantro, meat of your choice). They also have various traditional Mexican items(menudo, seafood soup, beef tongue) that you won’t find at your typical Mexican restaurant. You order from the counter in the back. The cooks only speak Spanish so one of the English-speaking checkout(for the grocery) girls comes around to the counter to take your order on a pad of paper. You pay for your food at grocery checkout. Even though it is really a grocery, they have a couple of beers you can enjoy with your meal if you dine in. The food is super simple, but quite tasty. I can walk to this place in about 5 minutes which could be a problem(for my waistline).

This place is a golden nugget of goodness. Don’t read too much into the other lesser reviews. This restaurant and grocery is one of the most authentic and quality shops in Indianapolis. I have worked my way through the menu, the meat and cheese counters and the produce — simply put I am always left feeling grateful and satisfied. The family that runs this establishment are wonderful, kind and accommodating. Enjoy this great new addition!!!

Love this place their Carne Asada(steak) sopes are delicious! Store still needs improvement as far as inventory but I’m sure that’ll improve with time

This is a small family run establishment. Not your average Americanized Mexican restaurant with 50 combination platters. All the food is made fresh to order. So you think it would be great. But for us it was hit or miss, mostly miss. This was the first horchata(cinnamon rice milk drink) that I didn’t like. It had an odd taste that we could not place. The guacamole also had an odd taste and a bit of lime and salt did not fix it. The chips were also hit or miss with some of them stale and some of them crisp. We liked the pico de gallo. We got a steak torta(Mexican sandwich) and it was excellent. In fact it was the only thing we’d go back for. If your want a good reasonably priced sandwich on a great Mexican style bun, this is your place. We tried the sopas and did not like them. The topping was good but the hand-made tortilla which we also had on the side were overly thick and somehow simultaneously mushy and dry. It’s hard to find hand made tortillas so we were really wanting to like them. The chile relleno were the worst we’ve had. They looked disgusting and tasted as if they’d been boiled. Not good in texture or taste. i’m replacing an early review were I visited and left within 5 minutes because of the screaming kids. The kids were still there but quiet. No way to spend your childhood but these guys are really trying to make it and working their butts off. Unfortunately they still have the blaring tv which you can only see from the kitchen(yeah makes no sense) but then you realize why it’s so loud. It’s so the chef can herar it over the kitchen noises. We will go back for the tortas. But have no interest in trying anything else on the menu. That being said everybodies taste is different and it’s worth at least one try

I was so excited for an authentic place to open less than a half mile from my house. I was sorely disappointed. They have a small grocery store inside. Lots of beans(canned and dry) and sauces. They have a tiny produce section where you can find ripe avocados and limes 6 for $ 1! They also have a meat and cheese counter, but it was unclear if products were for sale or just where the restaurant stock was being stored. By the front door, they have a pastry counter, but no pastries yet. They just opened two days ago and the full menu is not yet available. For now, you can order tacos, burritos, and tortas. I ordered three tacos with cheese and no onion. They came piled high with onion and no cheese. The meat had a ton of fat on it and was not seasoned. The tortillas were fresh though and with a little salsa, the tacos weren’t bad. The prices are good. I got three steak tacos, 6 limes, and an avocado for $ 5. I will try the chicken next time and remind them if I ask for any special preparations. Fingers crossed that they get better.
