Without going into too much detail, I’ve gone to Ossip for a few years now. Much more expensive then other places, but I don’t always base my decision on price so I was fine. What I do base my review on is customer service and how willing they are to help customers in a time of need. I broke my glasses a little over a year after I had my last exam there. I called asking if my script was still valid and they said it was. I drove over there to get my script only to leave and realize that it said it was expired. So I drove back and asked if it was a mistake. They said no.(so why didn’t they tell me this on the phone?!) I explained the situation about my broken glasses and that it had only been a little over a year since my last exam and asked if they could write a new one. They said that while they understand most places allow a script to go two years after an exam for glasses, their policy was only a year, the same as contacts. It was just a really frustrating experience and I had hoped that they could help in a pinch or even offer a new script if I made an appointment or SOMETHING. But they offered no alternative. I don’t have eye insurance, so for me, every penny matters. And seeing with glasses that weren’t broken matters even more. Just frustrating all the way around, and they seemed like I was inconveniencing them by asking lots of questions.

After talking with many people that wear eyeglasses I decided to go to Ossips in Southport. They were awesome, super nice and I got the full exam. With coupon it was 45.00 They gave me my prescription and PD. I ordered glasses online because I have no obamacare. Felt like Ossips really cared and they did a great job

A lot of people are complaining in general about ossip in general being expensive. Well I guess it depends on your insurance. My new glasses were $ 1010.00 but I only paid $ 200.00. And that included the $ 45.00 state of the art eye exam that is like a catscan of your eye, no one else has this. ANDNODILATING!!! And no air blast to the eye either. They do have the regular exam too which is free, well with my insurance it was, and they have a lot of designer frames. I have Oakley and raybans frames(see pics) that had to order the raybans frames but still got them for me, the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that I had to sent both pair back because they we’re misaligned, other than than the service and every thing else was great,
