I absolutely love this store. Everyone that works there is very knowledgeable in the location of their inventory, what they do and don’t have in stock, and they even have the wine area labeled by country of origin so if you know where your wine was made its pretty easy to find. People there are friendly and their selection is amazing along with their prices. They also carry my favorite wine at an awesome price which many other stores don’t. I will miss this store when I move away from this side of town. 5 stars from me!

I think the hipster looking drugged out young man Miguel might be referring to is the TOTALLY charming and very well educated wine expert that I have talked to my several times in there. I have asked for a recommendation based on a food or a mood and every time, he has nailed it right on the head, and within the price range I specify.(Incidentally, I’m pretty sure he’s not drugged out, but might be slightly hipster, I’m ok with that) I will get his name and update this, because I really want to give him kudos. Every time I go, he’s really passionate about his job and really satisfying his customers. He has gotten himself an education on wine and spirits, and his knowledge is really impressive. To be fair to the one star guy, I did ask for a specific beer, which they did not have, although, I knew going in it was a seasonal, and I had probably missed it. I am more of a wine girl.

Went in a few nights ago with my wife and was treated like absolute garbage by the hipster looking drugged out young man at the front. Stared at us from the second we walked in til we left! He was absolutely rude and didn’t even want to put our beers in a bag(we had a bunch of singles). Their beer selection is amazing but the customer service there is AWFUL. Would not recommend!

I had a great experience here shopping for wine. I came in looking for a red wine to serve with pork. The first guy I asked had the good sense to refer to me their wine expert(thank you, I hate it when people pretend to know about something when they really don’t). He recommended a California Pinot Noir for $ 15. I wish I’d remembered the vineyard… have to buy an iphone wine app! But it worked wonderfully with our dinner. I also asked whether they had wine from 14 Hands Vineyard in Washington. My aunt been looking for their wines locally and had come up short. He had several different varietals from this relatively hard to find vineyard. My aunt was super pleased when I brought home a bottle of their 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon. Thanks for great service and an impressive wine selection, Payless Liquors!
