We have eaten at the Pearl Bistro on several occasions and had always loved our meal, along with the cozy atmosphere. Over dinner one night, my now husband and I realized it would be the perfect setting for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Our group(40 – 50) fit perfectly in the room and the owner went above and beyond to make our night so memorable. The owner worked with us to plan a delicious dinner that was affordable for a large group. We had hors d’oeuvres, salad, an entrée and desert and it was all wonderful. There was even a basket of her homemade chips and dip on every table. When we goofed on our final numbers, she readily accommodated the extra guests upon their arrival. I would strongly recommend the Pearl Bistro to anyone looking for a outstanding food, personable staff and a great atmosphere.

Pearl is now closed for good. I’m sad because their food was delightful. I loved introducing my friends to this gem for lunch.

Very casual laid back bistro. Older crowd. 70s music playing in the background. Unfortunately on this night I was seated near a table full of gossipy middle aged women. Not the restaurants fault, but it still detracted from the evening somewhat(especially considering my 5-month old disturbed the other diners less than that crew). It was a Tuesday night and perhaps if there were more customers, the white noise would have drowned them out a bit. Fresh baked bread is a nice touch. Soups change daily. The gazpacho I had was different(in a good way) than other gazpachos around town or the ones that I make. It was chunky(or if you prefer«rustic»). I could tell that the sandwich(French Connection) I had was made with care. Not just slapped together. And not your run of the mill sandwich either. The balsamic dipping sauce added the right amount of moisture for a sandwich that would be too dry without(turkey sandwiches are always dry to me). Not too pricey considering they source most of their proteins locally. I know they do a fancy Sunday brunch once a month so I’ll have to try that next time.

Everything I’ve ever had here was great. My first time, I had the glazed salmon, and my second time I had the salmon crepes(what can I say? I love fish!) and also the soup of the day, which was cream of chicken and vegetable. Knocking off one star because our server, Matt, wasn’t very attentive, but then again, I think he did have every table there that night, so I can understand.

It’s a very quaint place tucked inside a shopping plaza. It will remind you of a small farmhouse or cottage with a lil Parisian feel. The food is interesting. My fave is this chicken sandwich with melted Brie and apples drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. It’s to die for. Service is great. Though its not busy, and their streaming pandora will throw you off because of the ads, it’s overall a nice place for dinner.

Pearl bistro is a cute little restaurant tucked away in the back of the strip mall. It can be difficult to find if you don’t notice their green and white sign on 86th st. The entrées are small in portion size, however they are quite delicious and presented attractively on the plate. If you’re looking for a quiet place to have a nice lunch, and you’re not starving… then this might be the place for you.
