I like it here even if the food is only average-to-good. My kids and I have been here a few times together. My daughter always orders the cupcakes but ends up eating my pastry instead. The apple danish I had was delicious. It could have used more layers in the pastry to increase the flakiness, but it was still very good and made in-house. The cupcakes were not ideal. There was tunneling, the cupcake point didn’t rise properly, and it was also a little on the dry side. The icing was too sweet and the colors were unnatural. We ate it, but I will not allow her to order another cupcake again. PROS: food actually made in-house, family-owned, in downtown Irvington, service with a genuine smile CONS: needs to tweak the recipes, not open Sunday(or Monday)

When I moved to Irvington I was surprised to learn there were no nearby bread bakeries. Roll with It has consistently offered great fresh baked breads since opening. The honey wheat and baguette are among our favorites They offer other breads, cookies, cupcakes, scones and pastries, all of which we’ve tried over the years. Roll with It’s breads are definitely their strength, but we’ve never been disappointed with any of our purchases. The owners are incredibly friendly and have been such a great addition to Irvington.

I absolutely Love this place!!! I have lived in Irvington my whole life and I am so glad they are a part of the neighborhood! I love their sandwiches and desserts! I am so glad I decided to come here and get my mom a cherry pie for her birthday… the best one I have ever tasted! The owners are always so friendly and go out of their way to help! Tis is a definite must stop in Irvington!!!

This place can do no wrong, a true gem in Irvington. This place sells the best homemade breads and desserts. The grilled cheese is my favorite!

Don’t expect earth-shattering options, and the place is nothing to look at whatsoever. But it’s a friendly enough local bakery in Irvington’s only recently emergent urban neighborhood strip. The bread slices for the sandwiches are generous, as is the filling, which helps compensate for the not terribly creative options and the slightly high prices. The end product still tasted great. Service is friendly, but they’re lucky I had cash on hand since the credit card machine wasn’t working, and they didn’t make much of an effort to fix it. I haven’t tried any of the desserts, but they appeared decent enough. Roll With It Bakery isn’t likely to survive if Irvington continues to up its game and becomes a real destination for local eateries. But maybe this bakery will«roll with it» indeed, refining its inventory as the retail offerings on Washington Street meet the refined tastes of the denizens nearby.

This place sells the best hamburger and hoagie rolls I’ve ever had. EVER. We bought a bag to take to 4th of July and we’ve(2 of us) shamefully eaten our way through all but 2 of the rolls by July 2. We made sandwiches, we had them with dinner, I dipped one in hummus and feta. What’s so special about them? They actual have flavor and texture of their own, ADDING something to the sandwich instead of just being a vehicle for the fillings to get to your mouth. You can see the grains and each bun is a little different. I’m planning on chopping a couple up to use in my breakfast casserole… I’m sure it will be amazing. Also, I bought these puppies on Monday after work, and they’re still tasting good today(Saturday morning). They’re closed Sunday so make sure you buy your bread before then; store’s open from 7am to 7pm on the other six days. Whenever I’ve gone in, I’ve seen at least one of the owners in the kitchen. The store also sells sandwiches and soups(which I plan on trying soon), cookies, and other sweets. Their prices are posted on their website – VERY affordable! Cheaper than some of the bread you’ll find at the neighborhood Marsh or Kroger, and way higher quality. The interior is cute, with about 10 tables for dining in. Parking? Not really an issue. You can park in the lot by the Scooter Store, you can park on the other side of the street(by Jockamo and The Legend) and cross Washington to get to it… you can even park up the one-way street by Lazy Daze. If you’re coming from downtown, look for the bright blue antiques store on your right, then you’ll see the old Lodge, and Roll With It is just east of the Lodge, in the small stores. From the west, look for the Starbucks on your right, then on your left you’ll see the library and Scooter Store. Roll With It is the first small shop after that. I’m hoping to upgrade to 5 stars once I try their lunch and desserts. They also make custom decorated cakes!

Tess and Cory exhibited some real flour power, opening this bakery and café on a shoestring budget and working around the clock to crank out muffins, rolls, and loaves. The bread and treats are delicious and sandwiches are pretty good, too. It’s easy to overlook Roll With It because it’s most easily arrived at on foot but it’s worth pounding the pavement a little to get there.
