I started going to Maria when she was at Static and it has only gotten better since she moved to Sabai. She rents her own booth space so she has more flexible hours and I can just shoot her a quick text to make an appointment. She does a great job and all the stylists there are chatty so it makes for a fun environment. Highly recommend it! If you want her number to start becoming her client, message me!

I’ve gotten my hair cut for years at a salon on the south side and never thought I would find anyone who came close to the person who does my hair. That is, until I became friends with Scott, who now works at Sabai Salon. My hair is fussy. The sides like to stick straight out, and the top never really does what I want it to. Back in the day, I rocked the chili bowl cut and my hair hasn’t forgiven me for it yet. Few people can tame it, and Scott is one of those people. Sabai is located in Broadripple just off 64th street. It’s an old house that has been converted into booth space for less than 10 stylists. Walking in, the«waiting room» is the old enclosed porch of the house with barely enough room for a couch and a chair in the corner, so I try and not get there super early because there isn’t much room to wait. Many of the same stylists are there when I go in. It’s a younger crowd who seems to be up on the current trends. They’re always in great spirits, which makes for a positive experience for the guests too. I’m not sure if pricing is set by individual stylist, but Scott is very reasonable, and I suspect is pretty much average for the area.
