I used to love this place. Here is where I took Kali, Jeet Kune Do and Tae Kwon Do. Here is where I dabbled in Muay Thai, Akido, Kenpo, Silat, and Kickboxking. It worked thusly: You payed a lof of money for a once a week private lesson. My instructor was the owner, Jerry, and he was a beast. Then throughout the day all day every day there were courses offered in every other discipline imaginable. You could just go. Sometimes there’d be one other student, sometimes there’d be 35 or so. They didn’t really believe in ranking belts there. If you wanted to, you could, but they were all about being an effective fighter and not having a pretty piece of cloth to show you memorized a series of moves.
