The staff here is very friendly and bi-lingual. They offer a variety of apartments including town homes, 1 – 2 bedrooms, etc. Maintenance requests have always been responded to promptly. Parking is plentiful, but the pavement and driveways are deteriorating with pot holes. Most units have washer/dryer connections. There are multiple laundry rooms on site. Some units have gas heat. The on-site cable company provides Internet access and free basic cable. I pay for their ‘Platinum’ Internet tier which is supposedly 12 megabit download speeds. For $ 54 a month I am usually getting half of that speed. Their free basic cable is not high definition and the picture quality is mediocre. More than half of the channels are Spanish, religious, or home-shopping networks. If they dropped this mom & pop cable company I would be more than happy to bend over for Comcast or BrightHouse, because those services are relatively superior. AT&T U-Verse is available in many units, which in my book would be a better value if you can get it. Rent is affordable and for the money, you get a good value. Water, basic cable, and trash included. As for your commute, I-70 and 465 access is several miles away, as is the nearest grocery store or gym. So that’s pretty inconvenient. This area is pretty much a food desert. If you don’t mind those drawbacks, Spanish Oaks is not a bad place to live. For what you pay, it’s an okay deal.
