Friendly end unique staff which you don’t get at a lot of other Starbucks. Really has the broadripple charm. My drinks have always been made just right and never had anything I didn’t like

What can I say about a place that is nearly identical to ten thousand others? No drive through, that is a plus for me because I don’t have to be second priority to those that stay in their cars. Comfy and separate relaxing room to watch the rain and Broad Ripple. Very nice, helpful, and professional staff.

Got a coffee with a shot of espresso. Then got the bacon, egg, and Gouda breakfast sandwich. It was delicious. Good start to the morning and very helpful and friendly staff.

This non drive-thru location is by far one of my favorite Starbucks… this visit has made up for some recently unpleasant one. After trying Ripple Bagel and Deli next door, I wanted my familar drink. This location is very much a local feel. I placed my drink order which was nothing special. But as I wanted for my order to be made the barista was very nice. I wish I had gotten his name, because I would have given him a shout out. Normally they seem to be engrossed in churning out orders even when not very busy. He was super friendly… he asked me about my weekend and how was my Memorial Day going. When he finished the order ahead of me, he asked if I had the iceed white chocolate mocha. Which was mine, when it was ready he handed it to me and my straw vs throwing it on the counter like at others locations. When I go for my bagel, I stop in at this Starbuck for my drink!

Nicest employees ever!!! About once every couple weeks I treat myself to a Hot Apple Cider around 4pm. The employees are always so nice and friendly. This is why I drive to Broadripple for Starbucks.

Consistently inconsistent. I get one of two things on a daily basis, and they can never manage to ring it up correctly. It’s always a different price. Vaughn is the only person at this store who can make drinks properly.

I typically enjoy going to Starbucks but this location is very small and not very comfortable. I will not be going back unless I absolutely have to. First, because of it’s location, parking is not exactly easy. If you’re lucky to find parking behind the building, that’s great, just be careful not to park in a spot designated for one of the other shops, because you will get towed. If you can’t park behind the building, your only other option is on the street and that can be difficult in Broad Ripple. Once you get into the shop you realize that it is incredibly cramped. There are no tables for more than 4 people, and the 4-person tables are either in the very back(and always taken) or right near the door where you will constantly have to deal with people bumping into you. The area where you order is cramped and lined with way too many knick knacks and bags of coffee. I am a teacher and carry a pretty large bookbag with me. I had to set it on the ground while I was waiting in line because when it was on my back I was dangerously close to hitting things. The one good thing I have to say about this place is its service. The baristas were helpful and courteous, and did not roll their eyes or seem to mind when I realized I had forgotten to say«no whip» while ordering. However, the two Starbucks that I typically frequent on the east side always ask whether I would like a receipt, and the barista checking me out did not ask this. He simply took my cash and expected me to walk off. When I asked for a receipt, he didn’t know how to print one and had to get someone else to show him how. I ended up sitting outside(there was literally not a single seat inside). Unfortunately it was a very sunny day and I had been planning on working on my laptop. Since the sun was so bright and I couldn’t do that, I ended up abandoning my plans and writing things out on paper. Next time I’m just going to drive to a bigger Starbucks that’s not as cramped.

Parking can be difficult at this location but thats the same song for most places in the village. Parking garage is available two blocks away on College ave plus taking a stroll is what broad ripple is all about. Even though its not the best location to grab coffee on the run, I do prefer this one if I want to chill and hang out with a friend especially in the winter because they have a wood burning fireplace. Haven’t seen another starbucks with a fireplace… very cozy and an average amount of seating is available. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Great spot to people watch as it is in the heart of broad ripple with window viewing galore.

Kudos to Starbucks for creating a consistent brand. This Starbucks as most others has consistently good drinks with a consistent taste. No surprises. The food is the same for consistency. From a brand standpoint it is the«McDonald’s» of coffee. Unfortunately not local but so convenient and ubiquitous.

A perfectly adequate Starbucks in an ideal Broad Ripple location, which can get crowded during prime hours. The core baristas are always very friendly and quickly pick up on the regulars and their orders; I’ve never had my order messed up here, no matter how picky it gets. I’ve brought in bagels from next door, and have never been hassled over it. My only criticism is that this location always smells like scorched soy milk, which I guess more reflects on the clientele’s preferences than anything else.

I’ve never been a fan of Starbucks. I don’t understand why people insist on overpaying for an over-roasted cup of coffee? It just doesn’t make sense to me. While the Very Berry Hibiscus refresher and most of the smoothies are okay, I can’t justify spending the money there on a regular basis. Inside it’s your run of the mill Starbucks, with nothing negative or substantially positive added to the overall experience. I’ve had friends who work at this location … so I guess that’s one redeeming quality. It’s fairly quiet and offers free Wi-Fi, so there’s that. In a pinch you could do worse than Starbucks, but I’d recommend heading a block over to the Monon Coffee Company and getting a better cup of coffee or one of their incredible teas. You’ll save a little money on your coffee and get a way better experience.

Typical Starbucks, which fulfills my Sheldonesque need to have my coffee be consistently good no matter where I am. Service was great, plenty of comfie chairs around the fireplace. Good place to knit while I wait on others. Only downside is paying to park.

This is one of my favorite Starbucks. Not because the drinks are better(I’m actually pretty sure that Starbucks strives to have your drink taste the same at all locations) but because the people at this Starbucks are quite possibly the friendliest baristas I’ve ever met. They are always cheerful, smiling and you can tell that they enjoy what they do. Plus they all seem to like each other with the jokes that they’re telling as they prepare your order. Even in a large super-chain like Starbucks, they manage to make it feel like you’re in your little neighborhood«everybody knows your name» kind of coffee shop.

A) It appears I am elite; my reviews are now proclamations. Woah. B) I am somehow the very sole DUKE of this Starbucks. So basically I, like, have to review this establishment. Which is not so bad because I can confidently say I do quite like it. Prior to discovering the good coffee test(it’s akin to the good beer test: if the coffee, upon cooling, becomes flat mudwater, we have bad coffee. Hubbard & Cravens [& then, excitingly, Intelligentsia] demonstrated to me that palate-filing acidity, which Starbucks roasts totally lack*, completes the coffee experience by offering not a rapidly-cooling smack of caffeine but a fully-realized appreciable beverage, of which temperature is an accessory) I utilized this Starbucks’ ambiance and dense black coffee to sit and concentrate and edit an entire novel back in April ’11. It was a 5-star experience, then. Now, post-Coffee Renaissance, I still find myself drawn to the ambiance. There are two rooms, one with the coffee bar and three small high tables — where I sat during above-mentioned editing — and another with a communal long table by the exterior window wall, a few half-booth-style tables nestled against an interior wall, and a semicircle of plush chairs around a not-real-but-good-enough fireplace. And my preferred chair, which I am not describing to you because it’s MINE, dang it. It is an excellent place to bury oneself into a laptop/book-based task among a similarly-minded crowd… though I’ve taken to ordering the sugarier drinks in order to avoid feeling like I am drinking an inferior product. Not the coffee connoisseur’s sanctuary. But a certain kind of sanctuary nonetheless. I dig! *they’ve now introduced a Blonde Roast, which upon tasting is immediately recognizable as a step toward the Intelligentsia-style ideal — more acid, more secondary non-roast aromatics… but«Blonde Roast»? That marketing is weirdly selective: «Here is a coffee for yous who can’t handle the ‘bold’ stuff!» The coffee strikes me as something uniformly more pleasing to aficionados, so why make its moniker so off-putting to seekers of intensity?

Your standard Starbucks experience with one huge plus — a nice cozy fireplace. This location is typically packed with yuppies on their mac books, so sometimes seating is hard to come buy.

Love this place! But I’m stuck on two things right now. White Chocolate Mocha in the morning(Venti obviously =D), and Soy strawberries and crème Frappuccino; no whip in the After-am. If your reading this review and have never been to a Starbucks I am remorsefully sorry for you. And I hope you go. True it’s a globalized conglomerate that’s suffocating local cafes, yet it is a necessary evil :)

So I don’t get it. I order the same thing every time I go to Starbucks, no matter which Starbucks I go to. I always get the Grande Soy Misto with 2 Splenda. However, no matter where I go, it seems I am charged a different price each time. This Starbucks consistently doesn’t charge me extra for soy milk. Yay! I’m a fan :-)

Scholars Inn(a quaint, unique, neighborhood study-café) at the SE corner of College and Broad Ripple Ave. is now gone, replaced with a «pretty typical» Starbucks, no different from the one on Mass Ave, on University Ave, in Manhattan and in Berlin. Starbucks may occasionally serve a purpose in bringing a neighborhood back from blight. It was not needed here. Goodbye Scholars Inn. Rest in peace. Alternatives: Hubbard & Craven’s on Carrollton or, even better, Perk Up on 6536 Cornell Ave, just beside the Monon Trail. Both are an easy walk from the evil Starbucks.

Pretty typical Starbucks. Comfy sit down area, usually full of people studying, chatting, or on their computers. The free wi-fi is nice and the location is great. Nice place to hang out, check your email, or pick up a quick drink and a snack.
