Vernon does a great job, probably the best haircuts that I have ever had. He takes his time and makes sure everything is perfect. I didn’t give a 5 star rating because of his prices. He raised his price to $ 35 (up $ 10– was $ 25) that is a lot for a man with short thinning hair. If you have a head full of hair or you want a fancy design on your head then yes $ 35 is fine, but for most white men it’s too much. He doesn’t do shampoo or hot towel on every cut like he advertises and on his website — Also it states $ 20 for senior citizen haircuts on his website — I called today to confirm that price for seniors and he said no that was a mistake and it’s $ 35…that’s crazy my 84yr dad would be charged $ 35…geez. I bet that is still on his website. He is a great barber but terrible businessman.
This is not Hollywood Vernon lower your prices.

Went and got my beard trimmed by Vernon today for $ 20 and left with a huge regret: I should have taken «before» pictures. He did a fantastic job. He has an incredible attention to detail and didn’t finish until he had tended to every aspect of my beard. I never thought my beard could look this good and I will definitely be back every month. If you have a beard, get your ass to Vernon for a great trim.

After changing barbershops multiple times around town, I find myself as a repeat customer at Tailormade and am satisfied every time I leave. As soon as you enter the shop you are offered an array of beverages including water, juice, coffee, beer and even mixed drinks. Vernon is a very down to earth guy who makes no compromises whatsoever when it comes to your hair. He will take his time at every phase of the haircut to ensure you get just what you asked for.

Wonderful experience. First time visit and won’t be the last. Vernon took time, showed real interest, and trimmed my COWLICK with great ease. This is my first review of anything and im glad it is with Tailormade. The best barber on the Northside of Indy. Period. GO PACERS!

Carrie is hands down the best barber I’ve been to. I’ve tried alot of other barbers in the area and have lived in a few different cities and Carrie has been the best barber experience I’ve had. She really takes her time, is super easy to talk to, offers great suggestions, and is a great value for the attention to detail she gives to each cut. Also the scalp massage during the hair washing alone is worth the trip. I’ll never go anywhere else for a haircut.

Vernon is the go-​to for the best haircut. I have been going to him for years now and have never had a complaint. The service and quality is top notch and the prices match. Get here as soon as you can.

Carrie and Vernon both do great work. Carrie has been my go to for a couple years. Quality cut with attention to detail. Accommodating for appointment times. No barber I have been to in 20 years does a better job.
Today I treated myself to a shave and what a great experience. Will definitely do it again and can only kick myself for not investing in this treat sooner.

Vernon is the really the most passionate barber I’ve ever seen. I brought my fiancée in for a much needed haircut and beard trim after months of letting his hair grow wild. Mind you, this is a man who strolls into super cuts every 6 months. This could not go on! so I looked on Unilocal for barbers and found Tailor Made close to home.
When we arrived Vernon looked like he was about to go on break. But he was kind enough to squeeze us in without an appointment and proceeded to work his magic. I have NEVER seen such perfectionism in a cut and trim before. It was like we was designing topiaries! The man obviously takes pride in his work. Now Vernon’s found a customer for life!

Found this place on Unilocal yesterday and swung by today to get a haircut and beard trim/​shave before a family photo shoot. I hadn’t had a haircut since August and hadn’t shaved in 2 months. I walked in, and Vernon spent an hour sharpening up every detail of hair on my head and it turned out great. Value was awesome — $ 25 bucks for both the haircut and beard trim before tip.
One thing to note — the building is the office suites next to the old greenbriar athletic club. So takes a second to find on first visit — but definitely worth it.
I live out of town up in Chicago, but I think I’ll be planning my next haircut around my next visit home.

Carrie has been cutting my hair for years now, and every experience has been positive. She is great for conversation, and you walk out of the shop looking much better than when you came into it. I can’t recommend her enough.

I went to the same barber for 17 yrs., Went to see Vernon on a whim, I will have to say he’s now my barber for life. Him or me which ever comes 1^st. He does a great job at a reasonable price. I’d refer anyone to him. Go see him, I think you’ll be happy.
