Tech Stop was able to extract data from my 90-year-old mother’s thirty-year-old word processor. The info they saved included her genealogy work, and my father’s WWII service records and diary. And they did it in one day, and for just their base service fee.

I have to give Tech Stop props for something they couldn’t fix. So, I bought a refurbished laptop to replace the one from my previous review. It hums along for a moment, then I hear a weird clicking sound(that was my hard drive dying) and I rush it to help. Again, all I wanted was my data off it, and the guy warned me that hearing the clicking was a Very Bad Sign and I was likely to not get anything back. Sure enough, I got the bad news a few days later, and the guy was so sympathetic to my sadness(Like, this happened months ago, and I still remember how nice they all were.) I learned my lesson about warranties and really appreciate a business that does the right thing. He even told me a little of how they tried to recover my stuff– he could’ve used Star Trek technobabble for all I know, but they gave me the feeling of «wow, they tried everything to help me out».

Good experience, they listened, fixed cpu, made a few suggestions for some add on work(agreed and had them do it). Did not feel pressured at anytime and they answered my questions like they were important and not dumb.

The TechStop is responsible for all my computer repair needs. In the past it was so very hard for me to find capable, reliable computer people. Many were really disappointing flakes — but NOT these guys! They are the real deal. Reliable, honest and fast. Finally peace of mind in an area where I was once lost.
