Well I personally would not recommend that anyone live there unless you get it checked for black mold. The apartment that was rented had black mold when the tenants moved out. It wasn’t just in one spot… It was in many parts of the apartment. I don’t know if any other apartments have this issue but please be cautious and get it checked for black mold before signing a lease. Just be cautious.

This place has been undergoing renovations since they were bought a little under a year ago. They may end up being a nice place, but after living there a year we don’t want to wait to find out. The 3 bedroom layout is semi spacious, but on the top floor we had leaks and really bad gutters(being replaced as we were packing up). The rain would hit the balcony door and fill the track spilling into the apartment rug. The plumbing in the building we were in would go scalding hot and trickle in the middle of your shower. All you could do was stand there and wait for the pressure and temp to return to normal. The dishwasher stopped actually cleaning dishes; maintenance came to check it. They turned the knob to hear water running and told me it worked despite my dispute. Hand washing the dishes was sometimes a problem due to the water pressure issue, you would have to put it down and come back later to see if the water was back. The central air unit couldn’t get the temp below 85 in the summer. We could smell everything our neighbors cooked and hear all their conversations and music. The shower heads are too low so we had to buy an adapter(I’m only 5’4″ and it was too low). The bathtub was too small even for me. Once the initial change of ownership took place maintenance would come when called, but rarely were any of the problems actually addressed. When a tree feel on the back balcony they removed it the same day, but all the damage was never fixed. The kitchen drawers would scrap open and shut dropping sawdust to your items below. Lots of bugs would come in from outside(no roaches or other types of pests). If you are thinking of moving here, check the plumbing and cabinets, thoroughly. Wait until they finish remodeling the clubhouse(which was closed over half the time we were living there without work appearing to be happening). Also make sure you are seeing the apartment you would be actually renting if they are still doing the model apartment trick.

This apartment complex has had a few name changes before Timber Point it was Hillcrest Woods & prior to that it was Village Park at Shadeland Station. I lived here for about four years. Within those four years the property was sold three times :/The newest company seems to be managing the property good enough, but they don’t answer the phone half the time. Maintenance is behind, but when isn’t maintenance unless you are a home owner. Also they are remodeling the property which means a $ 100 increase in rent. Needless to say I left. You have to pay gas, electric, & the property bills you for water trash & sewer which is about $ 40 a month. I was paying 685 in rent alone, so add all that extra stuff & yup you basically have a mortgage. Oh, & they do have security now which is a true plus! Before I left some random person was knocking on doors & trying to open doors as well. The apartments are really big compared to other places, but is it really worth it nah. I almost forgot to mention this property is literally located in the woods so w/that being said sometimes I would notice raccoons in the dumpsters… so take your trash out at your own risk.
