Trimz on a Whim

I thought this place was great. After reading the reviews on Unilocal,I thought it was worth giving them a shot. The salon is very clean, friendly atmosphere and budget friendly. What I was the most happy with was how my stylist checked in with me multiple times throughout the cut to make sure we were on the same page. I haven’t had anyone do that in a long time and it was really refreshing to have someone who cared about giving me a good cut. I will definitely be returning.

I was short on time so I decided to stop in to trimz on a whim and give it a try. I got an upper lip wax done by Tyler and I was very happy with my service. Tyler was very personable and did a great job. Sometimes when I have gotten a wax I felt like it was rushed but this time, Tyler took his time and even tweezed the few little hairs that the wax missed. I will be returning!

My family and I moved to Indianapolis in the summer of 2014. My husband got his first haircut here at a barber salon and disliked the experience so much that he would not go back.
Meanwhile, I started searching for a place to get my own hair cut and ended up bringing my son with me.
Now my whole family comes here.
The people at the shop are always super friendly, no matter who is there. The shop is clean and looks nice. It looks modern without being over-​the-​top.
We usually book appointments with Hannah, who is super good with my son (at seven years old, he is very particular and very talkative). Hannah is always friendly and smiling. I love the cuts she gives so much that, earlier today, I sat in her chair and said, «I want to do something new with my hair, do what you think will look good,» and the cut looks AWESOME.
Although I’ve never had my hair cut by Tasha, I’ve seen her do some wonderful cuts, too. She’s also always welcoming and friendly.
The pricing here is AMAZING. When I looked at the prices the first time, I expected average or slightly subpar cuts but that is NOT what you get.
I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

After coming to Indy, I have not cut my hair anywhere else but with Trimz. They really know what they are doing — try to get the hair cut from Tasha, the first time you go there and then decide .very reasonable price, fast cut, and very professional.

I was looking to get a trim but it seemed like every salon I researched had either hefty prices ($ 30-​$ 40 a haircut), terrible reviews, or both.
I stumbled upon Trimz because of a coupon they were offering for 50% off any service and after reading their positive reviews on Unilocal!,decided to try it. I was completely blown away!
Salon: The salon is very clean and looks brand new inside. The washing station is in a relaxing, dimly lit area. The stylists use Paul Mitchell products so not only are you getting a great haircut but also get to try out new products. From my experience, the stylists suggest products and let you know what they sell but they do not push them on you every five minutes like at other places.
Stylist: Sabrina was my stylist and she was great. Very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. It really seemed like she knew what she was doing. She cut off exactly how much she said she would, which is really important to me since I’m trying to grow out my hair.
Overall, I had one of the best haircut experiences of my life and their prices really sweeten the deal ($ 16 for wash and cut, woah)! If this salon keeps up the quality and continues to offer such amazing prices, I will definitely be back!

Seriously love Tasha! She takes walk-​ins and reservations. Great attention to detail and strives for perfection. The price is definitely right @ $ 16 – 20 a wash and cut. Worth the ten minute drive to have great hair. :) Tasha is also just a lovely person, interesting and a pleasure to talk to.
She offers great advice, and I live a hairstylist I feel I can trust and she fits the bill.

The hairstylist used to work at a crummy place down the road but she was so great. I was thrilled to find out that she opened her own salon!
Trimz is a great place. They do great color services — I go back regularly for grays. There are a few other stylists that work there, and everyone seems to be quality.
One reason I like this place is that they can do such a variety. My husband goes here, I go here, and she also does ethnic varieties of hair, which is really fun because there are such a diverse group of clients coming in and out.
The last time I was there the owners dad was in and he was a hoot! The classic older gentleman talking to everyone and flirting with the ladies. Cracked me up!!!
I love this place! I highly recommend it as a place you can call «your» hair salon.
I’d recommend calling ahead and making an appointment though, as Trimz can be busy.

I gotta say. I was nervous about a female cuttin my hair, but Tasha hooked it up. The girl has skills. I’m lettin my people know to check out Trimz on a Whim!

Tasha is a wonderful stylist. She always knows what I want done with my hair! I always feel beautiful and brand new when I leave. I can’t imagine letting anyone else touch my hair now that I have her!
