Zero stars if I could chose it! I called to make a reservation, spoke to a man who told me to «hurry up & get here before 12 noon, because after 12 noon you cannot pay with cash you have to use a credit card»(I was paying with cash). He told me there were vacancies took my name & info down. I pay a cabbie $ 45 bucks to take me to Value Place Pendleton Pike and when I arrive a woman with an attitude in the lobby tells me «She doesn’t know who told me to come now, but there are no rooms available(I get there 10:30am) until 1:30pm. Now I am disabled, I suffer from Lupus &MCTD, I walk with a cane & cannot stand for long periods of time! There are no seats in this lobby, just a narrow walkway! I tried to figure out a way to loose 3hrs. I call a family member who suggests I call the cab & go to the nearest sit down food place. I ask the lady at the desk where the nearest food place is & she doesn’t even look up from the desk & mumbles«White castle, I don’t know» Gee thanks, Im from New Jersey I don’t know where the address is of this fast food place. Who is answering phones & making reservations for non-existant rooms??? I had to call the same cab service. Thankfully the cabbie was nice enough to tell me of another, «BETTER» Value Place location in Greenwood, IN. The cab ride to the 2nd location cost me $ 75, so you do the math, because some idiot told me to hurry up & get to that location I lost $ 45! My total inconvenience cost me $ 120 almost the cost of a room for a week! Now if Value Place Pendleton Pike had been honest & told me they had NOVACANCIES, the cab fare from were I was to Greenwood would have been $ 30! Having tried to stay at Value Place Pendleton Pike & actually staying in Greenwood I can say that the Value Place Pendleton Pike is run down & ghetto in comparison! The staff are obviously NOT trained. From reading the previous review I thank God I didn’t stay there! I give Value Place @Pendleton Pike THEALMIGHTYDARWINAWARD!!! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It was the worst experience ever. This place is filthy. The beds, well they’re not beds. It’s just a mattress that sits on wooden planks. The bed sheets were dirty, off white. They smelled of pure must and urine. They had many many holes and stains in them. I was disgusted. The halls constantly smelled of smoke. Eventhough they said it was a non smoking hotel. I complained about the smell. But they kind of just brushed me off. by saying«OH that’s odd. those are non smoking rooms, it shouldnt smell like smoke» in a non concerned way. The woman didnt seem to care much to even offer to check or enforce the serious issue. I was really worried about my deposit because we dont smoke but our room smelled of strong smoke as well. The walls are extremely thin. We had to sit thru an hour of gay men having loud sex in the middle of the night and to wake up to arguments every morning. There was always some kind of drama going on. I didn’t feel safe. There was constant activity at all hours of the day/night. And I’m 100% that there are drug activity going on as well. I was even offer to buy some drugs. They just stand outside all day and take turns. The same people. Rotating. The staff leaves at 6PM everyday. So if anything happens beyond that point. You are on you’re own. They claim they do background checks on the people who stay here. But I HIGHLY doubt it from the kind of people that we saw during our 1 week stay there. This is NOT a place for kids. I wouldn’t EVEN recommend going to the extended stay down the street its even worse. you have to pay for room service(towels, sheets, trash, vacuming), $ 10 internet and the list goes on. It may be a good price to stay at $ 179. But it’s NOT worth it. You’re probably better off staying at Days inn for a few more bucks. Theyre clean, serve free breakfast and have free wifi. I have posted pictures of the room we stayed in. ENJOY!
