Better than most all you can eat sushi restaurants. Great selection of sashimi, sushi, and entrée items all for $ 19.99! Don’t get the white clam sashimi/sushi, though… not fresh!

Great value. If you went to another sushi place, you’d likely spend at least $ 20 on an appetizer, sushi meal and beverage, so you might as well spend the same amount for all you can eat. Crab Rangoon was also included in that and it was he best rangoon I’d ever had.

There are few restaurants at which I get horrendously excited to dine. When I say«horrendously,» I mean that I make plans to eat there a week in advance, and the anticipation of the experience makes the next seven days slowly pass. Remember how you felt the week before you turned 21? It’s almost like that. Anyway, I digress… Sushi is swell, isn’t it? The problem with it is that if you want to eat a lot of it, you’re either forced to sacrifice quality or pay an arm-and-a-leg. In other words, you can eat at an Asian buffet, where typically only a few varieties of rolls are offered(and left sitting for God-knows-how-long), or at one of the many sushi bars in the area. Well, thanks to Watami Sushi All You Can Eat, that’s no longer the case. At Watami, one has the benefit of a full menu, made-to-order sushi(and many other tasty items), as well as sit-down table service. Watami is best enjoyed in groups. This way, one can enjoy the large variety of items on the restaurant’s extensive menu. It is tough to know where to start, but the crab rangoon, tempura fried sweet potato, and the seafood udon soup are all solid choices! The chicken fried udon, however, is my favorite non-sushi item on the menu. The sushi menu is massive, and I enjoyed everything that touched my mouth. If you asked my server, she’d tell you that I was partial to the crab sashimi(as I ate over 20 pieces); however, there’s nothing magical about it. There is something very magical about the American Dream(yes, there is, isn’t there?), the Marion Roll, the Angry Dragon, and especially the Volcano Roll. Honorable mentions go to the Dynamite, Crazy, and Sexy Girl Rolls. I was also fond of the salmon and sweet potato temaki rolls. They’re a handful… literally! One item on Watami’s menu stands apart from the crowd so far, in my right opinion, that it deserves a paragraph of its own: the #465 Roll. This is the tastiest, most succulent, über fattening, tempura fried piece of Japanese goodness that I have ever tasted. It’s worth the price of admission all by itself. Watami Sushi All You Can Eat is a ridiculous name for a restaurant, but it is ridiculously awesome. Twenty measly dollars cannot purchase a better Asian meal. I look forward to many more loosen-my-belt experinces here, and if you try it, I know you will, too!

It’s an amazing deal. As much food as you care to eat for one, relatively low, set price. Tremendous variety and quality. The entire menu is fair game and everything is prepared when you order. 5 stars.

Well this is my tenth or fifteenth time here and it has just been spot on every time. I can’t recommend this place enough. The variety is astounding and the sushi is as fresh as you’re going to get in the Midwest. The sashimi is cut Beautifully. The portions are small so that is little waste and lots of opportunity for trying everything. Don’t think twice about asking for large amounts of certain things, they understand their portions are small. Go smash that shit.

Delicious! Wasn’t sure what to expect(we aren’t too exotic or adventerous) but every single thing was amazing. Try the dynamite roll — warm with avocado and cream cheese, melts in your mouth!

I was a little nervous about this trip just because I was bringing a friend and heard the service could be uneven which is sure to wreck a relaxing dinner. We went in on a Tuesday night, and we were promptly served! Our waittress was attentive and would always ask if we needed more sushi or drinks so it was a relief! I have to say I’m a fan. I ordered a TON to start with because it’s all you can eat, so why not? To me, each roll seems like double the amount you order because they cut them in half to be more manageable. My favorites were the volcano roll and Marion rolls. I like spicy so their descriptions really resonated with me and didn’t disappoint! I tried the yellowtail sashimi, and it wasn’t the best. It just smelled and tasted a little too fishy for me, and I’ve had it elsewhere. My friend ordered a couple of their fried rolls since she doesn’t like actual raw sushi. She didn’t care for the Godzilla roll, but I thought it was pretty good. She also liked the seafood fried rice! We were both fans of the crab rangoon and the tasty, slightly spicy dipping sauce it came with. My friend said she would definitely be returning with her other friends since it’s in our neighborhood! One thing to note, it was about 60 degrees outside, and they only had a few ceiling fans going(ceilings are high). Our booth was near the thermostat, and it got up to 77 while we were there! The door to the patio was open, but there wasn’t enough air movement to get it all the way back to where we were sitting. I hope they turn on the A/C when it actually gets warm!

I wasn’t really sure what to think of all you can eat sushi. There are just so many ways this can go wrong, with dry bland sushi that’s just been sitting around. None of those worries came to pass at Watami. You order your sushi from a server, and then it is prepared fresh for you. The quality is as good as anything else I’ve had around Indy. You can also get a nice amount of non-sushi options as well, such as tempura and noodles. I mostly stuck with the sushi, because that’s what I was here for. The one confusing bit was once your order was delivered, it was hard to tell what was what. Either way it all tasted good so I will be back again for more.

Portion of fish inside rolls is small, and taste of green tea is very mild. Slow service. I have to wait 20min to get my sashimi dish, and a server went away before I finished telling my menu choice. One piece of sashimi is smaller than half of little finger. I was there for sashimi, but very dissapointed. Slice of fish for sushi was very thin, and not that fresh. I don’t understand why this place can get 4.5 stars. Very dull taste of fish. Superslow servers. She never came back to me. Oh they don’t provide all you can it lunch on Sunday, instead all you can it dinner all day.

I’ve been a fan of another all you can eat sushi place on the west side of town, but after visiting Watami with some fellow Unilocalers, I probably won’t be heading west anymore. This place was delicious! Imagine a nice clean restaurant with tables big enough 6 or 7 people. The menus are multiple pages and you can order anything you want for about $ 20. Still hungry after you devour your first order? No problem-o… just stick your hand in the air and place your order for some more. Repeat until the rice starts to expand in your tummy and you feel like you’re going to burst. Here’s what I like about this place compared to others. It looked clean and sterile to me. The sushi chefs are right out in front of you, and you see the fish they’re serving you. The menus are professional and have a lot of different options on it. I love hand rolls, and this is one of the few places I can find in the city that has them… and the only one where they are all you can eat. Even if you aren’t a fan of raw sushi, they have plenty of cooked rolls, noodles, soups and salads on the all you can eat menu that might make it worthwhile. Still not feeling it? Check out the menu options you can order that aren’t all you can eat. typical asian-influenced foods. Heck. even the soy sauce was good here. The 2 year old I was with was drinking the stuff like water!

This place is great for a fellow sushi lover. We found it on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. The was wonderful and all made fresh to order. We had 4 rolls and 4 pieces of teriyaki salmon(super small portion) and the Kani salad which was decent. 2 adults drank water and tip it was $ 50

O.M.G… This place is amazing! I did not think it would actually be all you can eat or quality but it is! Two soups, two orders of crab Ragoon, 2 shrimp tempura rolls, 8 crab sushi and ice crème! I’m gonna be here every week!

Normally when I enter a place I start my review. I was so excited about this place I completely forgot to write one! This has been one of my best eating experiences ever. Almost can’t describe it… The service was very very fast and funny. I didn’t realize that when they say endless, they mean it. They had two pages full of options that you can have a endless amount of. And wait for it… It was 13 $!!! This isn’t a dive either, it’s very nice inside and the food quality was incredible. I can’t express how highly I recommend this restaurant to sushi lovers, and I will be back very soon. Possibly tomorrow!

I personally like their AYCE style of you ordering items from the menu and they serve it in somewhat relatively smaller portions to your table whether it be dumplings, sushi, fried rice, soups, noodles, etc. If you like the one you just had, just keep ordering it again and again til youre satisfied. Unlike your typical buffet places where you walk to the buffet table and just load as much as you like that you think you can consume on the plate, their approach just seem not as wasteful. Food wise, selection is decent, my fav being the fried dumplings and bbq eel fried rice. Sushi quality is not top notch, but it aint that bad either and certainly better than most buffet places in the area serving sushi and those that you can pickup from some grocery stores.

Since I haven’t been to Sushi Club yet, my opinion may be a bit skewed. Decide for yourself. You know that moment when it sounds to good to be true, and you know there has to be a catch? I had that moment when I heard of the name of this place. And you know what? There isn’t a catch. It’s really all you can eat sushi. I know, right?! We ate here with some Unilocal friends in celebration of Movember. Staches covered the faces of about 20 Unilocalers, ready to chow down! The menu is pretty simple once you understand the process. The lunch menu is split between the front and back, and the dinner menu is smack in the middle. Everything from soups, salads, tempura, teriyaki, uramaki rolls(basic rolls), specialty uramaki rolls, nigiri sushi(meat atop rice), sashimi(piece o’ raw fish) and tamaki(hand roll shaped like an ice cream«come»). Whoops! Misspelling on the menu. Oh well. We’re not here for a grammar lesson. Bring on the goodness! We were ordering food like it was going outta style. If we had more than one order of something, they would put it all on one platter in the middle of the table. We each had small plates, so it was more of a family dining style. Ya know, it’s like grab some of this, try some of that. «Ooo, try that one!» «OMG, that one is soooo good!» Everything tasted awesome. I tend to judge sushi places based on their unagi roll — my favorite. The texture needs to be just right with this roll. The eel is cooked, so the eel needs to be warm, the cucumber still cold and crispy and the rice needs to stay firm. No problems there. The basic unagi roll and the specialty roll, the Caterpillar, ranked pretty well for my standards. Also tried the 465 roll, the Sexy Girl roll, the Spicy Salmon roll, the Dynamite roll and the spicy tuna roll. All of these were awesome, and I’m very picky about my sushi. I usually don’t like fried rolls and I abhor cream cheese in roll. It’s just wrong. Nope, all these rolls were a mouth party! The OMG Sauce is not as spicy as it sounds. In fact, it’s more of a sweet/spicy. Nothing you can’t handle. Dinner was complete with a scoop of green tea ice cream. Don’t be put off by the color; it tastes delicate, light and delicious. As we left, we noticed a «wall of fame/shame» for the longest receipts. See, they charge some foods individually — i.e.: if you ordered a Sushi Pizza roll, you would need to place six orders to get six pieces of sushi. If you have a large group, your receipt could be awkwardly long. Are you hungry enough to make it to the wall?

All you can ask for in an all-you-can-eat sushi joint. Huge menu, and your options are not limited to just sushi. The price cannot be beat at $ 19.95 a person. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sushi rolls. We got so many that I can hardly name them all. The Watambi Roll, the 465 Roll, and the Dynamite Roll were some of my favorites! The crab Rangoon is good, and even their«chicken wing» and dumplings were great. We were on a little bit of a time crunch when we visited so we didn’t get to explore the entire menu, but I guarantee you we will be back. Located very unassumingly in a strip mall, this is a gem of a sushi restaurant in Indianapolis. Usually I have always gone to 45 Degrees for sushi, but this compared very closely. Sometimes we had to wait a little for our food, but we quickly realized when watching other groups to order your next rolls or whatever you are getting when your food arrives. We didn’t save room for dessert so I’ll have to go back just to try the green tea ice cream that the waitress recommended and so many people have mentioned on here.

I thought I reviewed this place already. This is my FAVORITE sushi in town. I have been to sushi club(blah compared to this), Sakura(pretty good but pricey compared to this), and some other places in town(don’t compare to this). I first went when they opened for the $ 11.99ALLYOUCANEAT lunch. WHAT!!! I couldn’t believe it and was ready to be disappointed. I was actually amazed at how nice the restaurant was and at the atmosphere. I ordered crab rangoons which came in a few minutes and they were very tasty and warm. I ordered a few rolls including the dynamite roll, Boston roll, and sexy girl roll. They were all fantastic. I crave the dynamite roll all the time. It is so tasty. I also ordered the fried rice with eel. OHMY. That was so tasty and very filling. I loved this place so much that I invited about 14 people and we went there for my birthday a few weeks ago. I think I tried everything on the menu because everyone just shared rolls. My favorite rolls by far are the dynamite and 465. Their service was just okay that time, but we had so many people that I don’t blame them for that. We ate so much food and everyone was really happy with how everything tasted. $ 19.99 for all you can eat sushi dinner, which includes appetizers, noodles, fried rice, sushi, sashimi, and dessert? This is a HUGE value. I’m going back in February and I can’t wait! If it were up to me I would go once every month but I can’t handle that much delicious food and I don’t have very good self control over sushi. Yay for Indy gems!

I write this review cautiously, for fear that the masses will learn of this hidden gem! This AYCE sushi joint in Lawrence is the real deal– no forcing you to fill up on salad, soup, edamame, and requiring you to eat one roll at a time… You order what you want, when you want. It’s a blank slate. We went on a Sunday, so you can’t get the $ 12.99 lunch deal(M-F). For $ 19.99 each, we got limitless crab rangoons, edamame, sushi, specialty rolls, etc. Our $ 40 allowed us to eat 10 specialty rolls, 3 pieces of sushi(surf clam and squid), 6 crab rangoons, and an order of edamame. I challenge any other sushi joint to match those prices! Best of all, the service was fast– no one is dragging their feet hoping you’ll get too full to order another round! The crab rangoons are served with an excellent sauce, and our favorite rolls were the Dynamite, Volcano, and American Dream, although they were all good. Everything tasted fresh and was cooked/prepped to order. Lastly, their décor is very chic, and they have a huge room in the back where larger groups can sit on a padded cushion seats on the floor. Out front, they have a small patio with outdoor seating. This place is top notch! After the volume of sushi we ate, it’s time for a nap :)

My husband, father-in-law, and I just happened upon Watami on our way to a family member’s house, and we stopped to eat on our way back home. Let me just say, what a GREAT find! Food, service, and ambiance were all on point! Plus it offers a great selection and for a wonderful value! Ambiance:The place is sleek and modern. I really like the décor, and the booth seats are seriously so comfortable… seriously. They also have outdoor seating available which is a plus. Food: I posted pictures of the all-you-can-eat sushi menus. In my opinion, they are quite extensive, and include soups, salads, sushi, classic rolls, specialty rolls, appetizers, dessert… EVERYTHING pretty much! I had some fresh and tasty crab rangoon with a nice dipping sauce, a yummy piece of tomago sushi(one of my go-to sushi pieces), and the American Dream roll for dinner. It’s safe to say that I’ll be dreaming of that roll for sure! Eight pieces of tempura shrimp rolled in seaweed with rice and topped with spicy lobster, spicy crab, and spicy cream sauces! Droooollll. So good. Oh, and I finished things off with vanilla ice cream! I ordered all of this from their all-you-can-eat menu. Value: They do have a standard menu where you can order entrees, appetizers, etc. I assume this is what you would use for take-out. BUT, if you are eating in, go for the all-you-can-eat option! It’s $ 12.99 for lunch and $ 19.99 for dinner. The quality was definitely worth that and more! I’m confident that all I ordered would easily cost $ 25+ elsewhere! This place has only been open for 2 days! I highly recommend anyone who likes sushi to hit this place up and soon! You won’t be disappointed! We’ll be back!!!
