Their Chinese bouncer would not let my friend in from France because he didn’t speak straight English. Won’t be back til he’s fired

I enjoyed that the atmosphere was different from a standard bar since it had a theme. Other than having a theme, not much differentiated Wild Beaver from any other bar. There was a stage where not much dancing was going on, even though the music was pretty good: classic 80s hits that the bar goers were too young to remember the first time around, old school Nelly, and songs that are popular today. It was a girl’s 21st birthday so they called her up on the bar to take a shot, and then allowed her and her friends to dance on the bar, which was pretty fun. Overall, average experience, decent drink prices.

Hah I don’t really know why we come here as much as we do. It’s not our kind of crowd at all but we just can’t pass up the 50 cent beers. This place is usually filled with guys in polos and khakis and girls with skirts so short you get cheek action ha! It does make for some really good people watching though. I’ve seen countless people fall but surprisingly not the girls with 5 inch heals. Witchcraft I think. The bartenders are pretty good though. They are fast and pretty friendly. I have run into few that I have liked as much as them while in broad ripple. I don’t like beer very much and they make good«beaver shots». I request the ones that taste like fruit loops. They are surprisingly good. I wish I could rate this place better but the crowd and karaōke drives me from it.

I’ve only been here once, on a Thurs, and we were the only people in the bar. They have $.50 beer, but only Busch light… ewww. I had a 312 that was reasonably priced anyhow. The bartender was really nice, and talked to us quite a bit as she was clearly quite bored with how dead it was, and the door guy was nice as well. I think I might have a totally different view of this bar if I went there when it was busy, as it has never enticed me to go in when walking by on a busy Saturday, but since I haven’t been in during that time, I’ll only review the one experience I had there, which was good.

Wild Beaver is always one of my first stops in B-rip. The servers have always been nice and courteous, and sometimes strike up some awesome conversations. If you’ve got a birthday, anniversary, or anything else, watch out — the girls will pull you onto the bar and make you dance, like something out of a scene from Coyote Ugly. Perfect for the unaware birthday person that you love!

Everything at the Wild Beaver is average at best. The entire place/atmosphere feels to contrived or fake. Though there is nothing horribly wrong with the place, there are too many other places with Broad Ripple with much more character. Overall, a themed/cliché/corporate bar do not belong in the Ripple. What’s next, another Applebees or a Rusty Bucket? I now classify these types of bars as a «shot girl bar»…you know that scantily clad girl that constantly pesters you about«buying a shot». Your father’s bar would never have one these.
