We tend to frequent this Pizza Ranch location a lot. It’s a 20 min drive for us but all the Pizza Ranch’s are that far away. We’ve been here when it’s really busy and also when it’s been slower.
The three things I really like about this location:
1. Shredded iceberg lettuce on the salad bar. May be strange but I’ve come to love shredded lettuce for my salads and most locations don’t have this.
2. Food is consistently well made. The pizzas always look good and not overdone. Their buffet bars are well stocked and kept rather clean for a buffet.
3. The people, employees and customers, are all so nice.
Although we wish we had a closer location, we’ll continue to frequent this one until that happens.

As far as buffets go, Pizza Ranch is all right. I don’t know I’d pay full price to dine there again, but they do offer a nice range of meal items and pizzas. One big drawback: not very many vegetarian options besides the salad bar (which was actually pretty good). The pizza itself is tasty, but nothing incredible. The desert pizzas were delicious and quite possibly addictive. It took much will power in me to not go back for more apple pie pizza. For Indianola, it’s par for the course and a fine establishment. Don’t love it, but I might go back sometime.
