Forgeron Physical Therapy

As many of you know me, when I write a Unilocal, it’s either because of AMAZING service or HORRIBLE service. Sadly, I had a HORRIBLE experience with Forgeron Therapy. First, let me preface that I found myself in the emergency room at 4 AM and yet again, I was overcome with intense back pain, which I have suffered for years.
I know what to do having had so many bouts with this issue, so I immediately went to the doctor, got a script for medicine and PT. Forgeron was part of my insurance company and all I would need to pay is the $ 15.00 copay, which I was MORE then HAPPY to pay.
I made two appointments, one in Palm Springs and the other in Indio, but needed to cancel both as the PAIN was to intense and I could not even drive the car without endangering myself or someone else. Finally, I made an appointment for the Palm Springs office.
Here is where reality sets in as I have learned that ALL businesses are interested in one of two things, YOUR MONEY or TRUE SERVICE. Sadly Forgeron is only interested in your MONEY. The day before my appointment, (A Sunday, I thought they were closed.) I got a courtesy call to remind me of the appointment and to remember to bring the $ 15.00 copay. In fact, the office staff worker that called me reminded me THREE TIMES on the same telephone call. I told her it would not be a problem, but I would need a bill for it.
The next morning, the day of my appointment, I received another call to remind me of my 4:00 appointment that day and I told them I was very excited to start PT and during the conversation the office caller reminded me AGAIN not to forget the $ 15.00 copay or they would NOT be able to provide service.
In short, I explained that I was recent victim of Identity Theft working with the FBI, (Yes, it was that serious) and that I needed a «Random Act of Kindness» from them and if I could please get a bill for the first $ 15.00 copay as I now have an accountant and the FBI said I should leave a actual paper trail for all future services in an effort to make the identity theft more difficult. The office caller said she doubted that she could and that she would need to ask the owner. Again, I explained these were unusual circumstances and that when they receive payment from me that I would actually make it for $ 30.00, so they would always have one payment ahead.
Confused the office worker failed to grasp the seriousness of my dilemma at the hands of an internet thief but that I have had NINE other companies provide the same «kindness» given my particular situation. I assured her that the company would be paid their $ 15.00. She responded, «Well, I need to talk to my boss as I am JUST the office worker.» It was then that I realized the the owner but not really value his employees as many times when I hear that kind of language, it shows the true nature of the employee/​owner relationship. Why does she think that she is ONLY a office worker.
Two hours before my appointment, I was SHOCKED to receive a call from the same officer worked telling me that the owner was going to cancel my appointment and that I should find a new PT company.
SHOCKED, DISMAYED AND STILL IN PAIN, I thought to myself, «All over $ 15.00?» It is clear that Forgeron is only interested in one thing, the almighty dollar, whether it’s one dollar, fifteen or higher and I can’t recommend them due to their lack of compassion, empathy and understanding. PT is supposed to help those with physical pain, but there is always emotional pain connected as well and Forgeron does not appear to care for the emotional pain of their patience, but rather what’s in their wallet.

My doctor referred me to this place after I had a car accident. I had terrible back/​neck pain. My PT was Jay Forgeron. He’s very thorough during my assessment/​sessions and nice, you’ll feel really comfortable with him. The staff were all friendly as well.
I didn’t use insurance and paid $ 125 for assessment and $ 80 for the succeeding sessions.
