MAC Cosmetics – Macy’s Puente Hills

The girls here are very nice and they are helpful. 5 stars for the customer service. Today I bought a foundation and a powder. When I got home and opened the powder it was already used. So disgusting. For $ 32 I should get a NEW one. I don’t know who stuck their nasty fingers in there! Now I have to go back and exchange it. It’s just annoying that I have to go through all the trouble of exchanging it.

I went to get my makeup done for a special occasion and Sam did an AMAZING job! She’s super friendly and did my makeup exactly the way I wanted it. I would definitely go back to her and I would totally recommend her.

I moved a couple of months ago to la puente from Pasadena. My «to go to» Mac was the one at the Santa Anita mall at the Nordstroms because the girls there are always friendly… but I didn’t want to drive all the way there since I live 12 minutes away from puente hills mall, so I decided to go to this Mac. My first experience was good. I think the girls here are super friendly. Every time I go I always get greeted and ask if I need help with anything. I tried the one in Covina but those girls are ALWAYS bitchy so this for now on, with the great customer service, this is my To go to Mac store.

They did an awesome job! My friend and I got out make up done for our high school reunion. They were on time and did a fantastic job.

Went to get my make-​up done this Saturday and didn’t really know what I wanted since I’ve never had my make-​up done but this girl Rebecca helped me out and she did an AMAZING job! Got a lot of compliments on it!

Bertha (B) is amazing !!! She’s not only the sweetest person ever, but she has a lot of talent! I am always beyond happy after she’s done with my make up.

Anytime I come to Macy’s and want to be able to spend some cash on a ton of makeup I change my mind because of the service. If I walk into your location and have flip flops on and shorts shouldn’t mean I get crap service.
I wanted to buy a bunch of lipsticks and lip-​gloss because I obviously have an addiction to those specific mac products. I went in and only ended up buying two things and the number one reason was that I wasn’t even acknowledged not even a friendly fake hello not a damn thing. Best thing I can recommend is you go to an actual MAC store or order online. Do not waste your time.

Awesome experience having my make up done for the ball. Rebekah was my artist. She was so sweet, kind and courteous. I had such little time to do my make up and she worked with me. I will be coming back next year just for her.

I really enjoy this counter. yes it’s small and a little crowded but what counter isn’t? I got my makeup done a few weeks back to test a few products I wanted to purchase and the girl that did my makeup did a great job! She took her time and used all the products I requested. The other associates have always helped me as well. especially Rebecca (if I remember correctly).overall great experience!

MOST of the employees are RUDE and PUSHY. Except for one girl, I wish I had asked for her name but she is very skinny and pale (in a good way). She was the only person there that actually helped me out and she was SO SWEET. The other employees act like they’re so much better than you because they work there. your job is to HELP US. I kept swatching foundations on my hand and this chubby girl looked mad at what I was doing and kept asking ARE YOU SURE YOU DONT NEED HELP? All the employees (except for the one skinny one I mentioned) always look so irritated and cocky. Never going to this MAC store again, unless I see the skinny girl working there then I might.

This review is more for Maria the makeup artist than for the actual store. I got my make up done for my bridal shower. I went for a more bold look than I usually do, even for events. I showed her a picture of smokey eyes with a shimmer lid and she just took it from there. She’s the type of artist that just needs an idea of what you want but because she’s a professional (has been working with MAC for 13 years) she adds her own touch! The eyes turned out perfect, she even started contouring which concerned me at first but because she was so pro I just knew it looked great! She even defined my eyebrows which I let no one touch but she did it so well that I’m contemplating doing them like this all time. She’s also very friendly and wants to get to know you. If I get my makeup done by MAC Puente Hills, I will specifically be asking for Maria!

Service: slow, perhaps only a one person when I got there. Later there were three.
Product: my favorite brand. But, I prefer the Brea mall location way better.
Knowledge of products: yup, took seconds for the lady to recommend a color that best fit me.
Location: a bit small, Costa Mesa mall one much bigger. Though too far for me.
Price: reasonable, better than drug store brand and better than Avon, or any Internet pyramid «scammy» brands. I also love their lip gloss …

I took my youngest daughter whom I 15 years old to get her make up done for Winter Formal. Originally I was hesitant to take her to have her make up done at MAC as I prefer Benefit cosmetics myself and quite frankly when I have seen make up done at MAC women look overly made up. But since she is a heathen child and I value my life I caved in and made her an appointment. When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised that there was no one else getting there make up done. The make up artist that did her make up was Jerry and I have to say he did an amazing job! He asked what the occasion was and how she wanted to do her make up, her choice was to do an exaggerated eye because of the dance theme was «Viva Las Vegas». Upon looking at the picture Jerry told her that this look would be too harsh for her and offered his suggestion. He ended up doing a nice smokey eye that was actually quite natural looking! Now I normally would never recommend going to Mac to have your make up done but if you must do so make sure to ask for Jerry he is amazing!

I have been here many many times and lemme me just say that the service is just HORRIBLE! Never again will I go back to this place.
I love MAC but this place needs to learn how to treat their customers.
Overall good products… just bad service.
If you are looking to be disappointed and to write bad reviews… then come here.
I don’t want this place and these untrained employees to stop me from using Mac, but it’s not even worth it.
Sephora will be my new go to place.

Awful customer service.
I have never had my makeup done by MAC, much less used MAC products before, so this would have been a first for me. I was looking forward to MAC’s studio makeup since I was going to be in a wedding and lots of pictures.
I called Thursday to get the earliest makeup appointment on Sunday morning since the wedding was on Sunday afternoon. I was told the earliest appointment on Sunday was at 11 a.m., which is when Macy’s opens, so I made the reservation.
Sunday Morning, I get there at 10:50 and go to Cosmetics. There are 2 ladies working there; I approach the desk and tell one of them I have an appointment. She asks my name, and looks on her booking list, then tells me I do not have an appointment. I told her I made the appointment Thursday and she says they only have an appointment for a «Diana».
Then they ask the makeup-​less girl behind me «Are you Diana?»
Yes, she is.
So she turns to me, and says: «I’m the only makeup artist here right now so there’s no one else to do your makeup at 11 a.m. and Diana has that reservation.»
No apologies, no alternative suggestions. Nothing.
I left and ended up having Chanel do my makeup.
I thought they could have at least apologized.
Or smiled.
Or pretended to care.

Love the MAC gals and boys here. Friendly and super nice. Get your make up done by B, she is the best! She has done my make up a few times and have always loved the finish product.

I had a fantastic experience last time i visited this mac. There’s a new manager and she’s great. The service was prompt and sincere and I was also given several tips regarding make up application. I also learned a lot about macs skin care line. Over all, I had a great time learning and buying here.

Worst experience with a cashier that was rude, didn’t have a name tag & wouldn’t give me her name, she admitted being told that she was rude, she was in the men dep. by the polo clothing, Latina or Philipina. Reported her to mgr. never new her name.

I guess I lucked out with customer service on the day I went (Friday afternoon). I had been looking for the perfect shade of red and thank goodness I stopped by the counter! As I entered the area, I was immediately approached and the wonderful lady asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I told her the shade I was looking for and she went to grab the tester. She also recommended the perfect shade of lip liner to go along with the lipstick. She sanitized both products (thumbs up for cleanliness) and tried it on my lips. I instantly FELL IN LOVE with the color!

SO, WHILE STANDING AROUND Looking at the artists working on their canvases I received ANGRY STARES & NOT TO MENTION, NO HELP!!!
I glanced over once in a while to see how their work turned out on some chicks face who was getting ready for Prom.
and the artists just looks at me and doggs me. i don’t know how to put that in more appropriate terms… as ghetto as that sounds but, THAT WAS exactly how she looked at me and the other waiting customers! it;s like okay girly your work aint that glamourous! AND im not gonna go home and jock ur style!!! even if i tried im sure i could have done a better job!
ONE GIRL WALKED RIGHT PAST ME AND WENT ON TO ASSIST ANOTHER FEMALE. WTH?
Customer service needs to be revamped.
i was finally helped after 10 minutes of staring at the product i specifically came in for.
BUT. I HAD TO GO UP TO The damn guy. looked at him, when he realized i wasnt going to leave he finally asked if i needed help.
BUT he was nice, besides the fact he didnt offer service before i had to go up to the counter!
the only reason why i came to this M.A.C location was cause the BREA location located in nordy;s were sold out of the surf baby cheek color!
–Im sure i wont be back unless i was desperate. like today!
