The reviews before me are true! This market has been here for quite a while but it is dirty inside, not very clean or organized. It’s difficult to get employee’s attention when you need help. The employee’s never seem to be happy either, they could at least greet you when your’re paying so you won’t have to stand there in awkward silence. The only reason why they’re getting 3 stars is because they have good affordable prices for brands but otherwise, the bakery section doesn’t look fresh, and again the staff isn’t the best.

Fire everyone and hire new staff. All the cashiers are so rude and constantly gossip amongst them. They are very selective on who they greet, Not professional at all. Some of them aren’t bilingual either. Makes it hard to communicate.

Where I go whenever I want a flan like the ones my madre used to make. My children also love the flans, which are very well priced. Definitely recommended!

I gave this place many, many chances. I live a block away, so the convenience was too attractive to pass on. The premise is extremely dirty, the produce is always rotting and overpriced(none of it is noted to be organic, so I don’t know what the other fake reviewer is talking about — the same reviewer who uses the Tips section as their private twitter feed), and the meat goes bad WAY before the sell-by date. The employees lie — constantly. Most are rude(there are a few exceptions). When I asked to speak to the manager because the employees refused to call the tow company(I wanted to use the handicap space, but a non-disabled person was in it). She lied twice and said there was no manager in the store. When I threatened to report them for an ADA violation, the manager was suddenly in the store. He then told me that the tow company(Southside Tow, which I’m familiar with) took 30 minutes to come so it’s not worth it to call. I told him he still needs to call — at which point he changed his story and said they do call every time. This is a lie because I have asked employees several times, when I couldn’t get the space, and each time, they pretend they don’t know there’s even a handicap space. They’re pretty much assholes who want to nickel and dime you — prices have gone up by more than 15% by my estimates in the last year alone. I am swearing this place off forever.

I just came from Costco but wasn’t in the mood to buy 4 gallons of ketchup(Catsup.for you snooty folks) so i made a quick stop here. I don’t grocery shop here, not because it feels like the markets my parents shopped in circa 1974, but because I find their prices to be ridiculous! I do come in from time to time and purchase mexican cookies to go with my coffee, not sweet and good for dunking… don’t judge me 8o/They have a small bakery and today the store was lit up with a yummy fresh baked aroma. I went over to look and eeeeek!!! They had the most adorable«Ghost» cookies for halloween…5 for a dollar(see pic). They also have a «liquor store section», lottery, and i think they cash checks. The cashiers are«ok»… They be all like«hola mija, como estas? to the lady in front of me. then when it’s my turn they be all like.“hola mi… Oh…How u derwin?». So i just make quick trips here for 1 – 2 items… nada mas!

Meh. The store feels like a Smart & Final with the way that things are shelved, but without the large sizes. Most of the prices that I saw were very similar to a Ralph’s. Didn’t see any difference in quality either. There were more Hispanic items, but quite a bit less other items that you would find in a Ralph’s. Anyway, this place is out of our way, so really not worthy of a revisit.

I had just got done surfing and was in the mood to make my Organic Mexican Chile sauce and knew exactly where to go to find the ingredients BESTBARGAIN. I rolled up into the parking lot with my surfboard on the roof. I walked inside and picked up all the ingredients I needed, in a regular Supermarket this would have cost me in the range of $ 8 — $ 10 dollars, here at Best Bargain it cost me just about $ 1.85. I have read the other reviews for this place and I cannot disagree more. When I want chicken that is breed in Mexico where the Chickens are not being feed GMO feed I come here, same for beef and same for vegetables when I am making my Chile sauce and/or making a fresh salad. Best Bargain always has fresh pan dulce that smells absolutely amazing every time you walk in the doors. The staff is helpful, the cashiers are fast and the product they sell here is second to none. I L-O-V-E this place and I am as picky as they come, I will continue coming here for all of my needs.
